The algorithm is trained based on monitoring Traffic Flow, Clients/Subscribers Flow and RF coverage map Flow, using cross-correlation to determine the optimal Traffic Level Filling by WAPs during the observed time period. WAPs are managed by central monitoring system to increase the energy efficiency. The proposed algorithm enables a significant percentage increase in energy efficiency for IEEE 802.11 WAPs systems.","PeriodicalId":422501,"journal":{"name":"2017 25th Telecommunication Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132955651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, through simultaneous transmission and superposition property, multiple access wireless channels can enable joint communication and computation. Recent studies successfully highlight the benefit that can be harnessed from the wireless transmission channel in order to improve the network throughput and to reduce the computational load. In this paper, the usage of analog function computation (AFC) strategy is studied to combine communication and computation as a case study targeting a wireless sensor network. The proposed network executes summation, multiplication, maximum and minimum operations on channel with the help of pre-processing and post-processing functions. Mathematical model of the network is supported with computer simulations and the obtained benefits when compared to a time division multiple access (TDMA) based transmission scheme are highlighted. The real-time implementation of the sensor network is achieved by using software defined radio (SDR) nodes and extensive tests are run for summation operation in order to investigate the performance of the network.","PeriodicalId":422501,"journal":{"name":"2017 25th Telecommunication Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133079567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A mapping of CIM RDF Schema into SHACL shapes is defined and an SHACL implementation is made. The CGMES profiles and test configuration provided by ENTSO-E were used for evaluation. In an iterative validation process, required enhancements of CIM datasets were defined. A novel approach for validation of CIM datasets is proposed.","PeriodicalId":422501,"journal":{"name":"2017 25th Telecommunication Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114327326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, it is proposed a Host Server (HS) in the BBU pool that hosts a Modified Best Fit Decreasing (MBFD) algorithm to optimize reconfiguration of BBUs to proper Remote Radio Heads (RRHs). The simulation results show the MBFD effectively better in decreasing the number of active BBUs and decrease power consumption compared with Best Fit Decreasing (BFD) algorithm and traditional network.","PeriodicalId":422501,"journal":{"name":"2017 25th Telecommunication Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114573509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The latter ones are hard to assess and therefore often neglected. This paper presents a methodology for assessing the influence of non-functional requirements on the overall estimate. Two data sets of software projects are used for comparing the correlation between unadjusted and adjusted use case weights. Based on the results, the guidelines for software development effort estimation are concluded.","PeriodicalId":422501,"journal":{"name":"2017 25th Telecommunication Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"78 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132772348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Target bandwidth is Ku band downlink and uplink frequency bands. Simulation result shows 40% (10–15GHz) fractional bandwidth at VSWR<1.5. Propose antenna has minimum 11.3 dBi gain at downlink band and minimum 12.4 dBi at uplink band. Aperture efficiency is better than 65% throughout the band. The structure offers a good alternative to standard gain horn antennas but with much less antenna profile. It can be used in phased array applications as well.","PeriodicalId":422501,"journal":{"name":"2017 25th Telecommunication Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116671173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the continued growth in demand and support required for new use cases and features, currently the fifth generation (5G) of mobile networks are being developed. We build on top of the concept of micro-operators and discuss the use of cloud-based deployments to enable connectivity and service provisioning in the new paradigms. The use of such networks for supporting new application and services from verticals, related challenges and impacts on network security and the regulatory support from new spectrum regimes are also discussed. Performance issues and optimization approaches are outlined to enable a fast and efficient deployment of 5G networks which are suitable for new verticals and markets, providing tailored services and applications.","PeriodicalId":422501,"journal":{"name":"2017 25th Telecommunication Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127543301","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It involves tedious routine works, especially when testing is done in real-world environment. To make things worse, simulations and emulations are not sufficient for deployment of new embedded devices, since they are too far from ever changing real world conditions. Some of those problems are solved by testbeds, allowing to increase the prototyping speed by quite a margin, but testbeds still operate in some-what semi real-world conditions due to limited mobility of testbed nodes. In this paper authors present an approach to provide testbed functionality in real-world environment without making any sacrifices on functionality. Authors provide the implementation and evaluation of mobile nodes proving that they can be used to prototype embedded devices in actual real-world scenarios while using all the functionality a stationary testbed provides.","PeriodicalId":422501,"journal":{"name":"2017 25th Telecommunication Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127711116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
