Health promotion interventions inevitably include a dynamic harmony of various interacting planetary components and contexts, bio-psycho-social as well as spiritual, cultural and ecological. This study was based on a broad research question as to what would best heal polluted planet earth. As with most countries, South Africa is slowly recovering from the effects of COVID-19. It seemed timeous to investigate a local sample of knowledgeable and experienced persons with regard to their views on pollution prevention and health promotion. Sixteen local KwaZulu-Natal persons responded to an online google questionnaire. There were 5 men and 11 women, with a mean age of 55 and age range from 25 to 73 years. Data analysis using NVivo12 software indicated that participants’ responses generally coalesced into a coherent health promotion theme including subthemes of awareness, education, regulation, and action to prevent human destructiveness, promote healing and the holistic integrity of nature. Unique local findings as well as those similar to other studies are discussed. Secularisation implies the eradication of the religious dimension at both individual and social levels. Secularism, however, does not remain an abstract philosophical concept, but one which permeates the entire society. Society is not a morally abstract entity, therefore the conflict between secularism and the Church is inevitable. In this paper we will examine not only how this trend is seen in relation to the Christian Church in general, but also how this relationship takes place in the context of the Christian Church in Romania. Although most of the Romanian society is Orthodox, alongside other Christian churches recognized by the state from (at least nominally) a Christian society. The Romanian Christian Church covers almost the entire Romanian society (the percentage of people outside the Christian sphere is less than 1% of the country's population). In this context, the present research will focus primarily on how, historically speaking, secularization has generally occurred in Western society but also in Romanian society. Secularism is creeping subtly, gradually, and aggressively into Romanian society. Given that secularism is in essence about the removal of God from society and the dissolution of morality, secularism is implicitly one of the greatest challenges of the last three decades for the Romanian Church. In this context it should be stressed that the Christian Church in Romania has often lost ground in this war. Woesler","doi":"10.51917/dialogo.2022.9.1.14","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51917/dialogo.2022.9.1.14","url":null,"abstract":"In a previous study a spiritual difficulty for public health was considered, that many people say that there would be definitely no afterlife with Judgment Day, and that some such persons might sometimes try to harm innocent others secretly to obtain advantages, e.g., financial, with negative impact on public health. Considering additional knowledge, new thought experiments are conducted, including arbitrary infinite bitstrings as programs, run, e.g., on theoretical Turing machines, and mathematical structures providing generalized findings, including results for questions of quantum probabilities, e.g., the Born rule - which is experimentally confirmed. In quantum processes, randomness instead of pseudorandomness is more probable than within the less general structures of the previous study. This is achieved designing generalized structures, e.g., programs, which do not function when they are “alone”. Additional structures show that pseudorandomness remains relevant. A paradox of the extreme variety of incomprehensible universes is described. It could be solved here considering further structures, e.g., the extremely large number of, e.g., world part copies simulated by various short programs, providing a large probability for comprehensible worlds. The connection with the Mediterranean caused the importance of the Straits to arouse the interest of the powerful Empires of the time. The Black Sea has evolved from a “Turkish lake” to neutrality. The contemporary era brought the internationalization of the Straits but also the maximum interests of two of the riparians in controlling the region: Turkey and Russia. The importance of the area is similarly and selfishly valued. Turkey equates the Straits with national territory, and the Montreux Convention is the document on whose observance the balance of the area depends. Russia exhibits hegemonic tendencies and considers at least the eastern part of the Black Sea to be within its sphere of influence. The appearance of the North Atlantic Alliance, the acceptance of Turkey as its member, changed the balance of forces in the region. After the collapse of the Soviet Union and the expansion of NATO to the east, 3 of the 6 riparian countries are members of the Alliance. The Russian Federation consistently opposed enlargement and gradually drew an imaginary “red line” over which it was unwilling to cross: inviting Ukraine and Georgia to join the Alliance. Currently, neither Turkey nor the Russian Federation is happy about actions by third parties that would rob them of their “sovereignty”. In addition to the human physical activity of running, there is a special reference to God-consciousness. Although the paper reflects an African, Christian, psychological bias, from an interfaith perspective, it concerns a simple, natural, human activity, within a broader energetic field of consciousness, which is usually and simply referred to as Love. The deliberate choice of the broad generic terms, God, or Godhead, is intended to include such terms as Allah, Brahman, Tao, Spirit, Divine, etc. While the terms “self” and “soul” may be used in different ways by various wisdom, spiritual and religious traditions, here they essentially refer to the interior, social and spiritual dimensions of human relationships. The study adopts a phenomenological, psychological, and biographical methodology with special reference to the spirituality of running as experienced by participants and reported by the heroic figures of Allyson Felix, Eliud Kipchoge, and Teilhard de Chardin, respectively.
