Acknowledging that 2020 has been the year of TikTok, most Spanish political parties have joined this social network: Podemos, with 191.400 followers and 3.1 million likes, is the most followed political party on this platform. Method: Using multimodal content analysis, this paper aims at analyzing how the party is using this social network, and for which purposes, placing the attention on how Podemos has adapted to TikTok specificities in terms of both language and technical affordances. Results: Results show that while the party perfectly adapts to TikTok’s specific language and technical affordances (special effects, etc.), instead of focusing on entertainment, the platform’s main genre, it uses TikTok as a showcase for political activities, failing in favoring a renovating relationship with users. However, politics is represented through the “game frame”, that is to say, dramatized as a battlefield between Good and Evil, which strengthens the populist dichotomous vision of the world, endorsing emotional response. Conclusion: In this sense, it is possible to conclude that, although Podemos mainly displays political content, this content falls into the category of politainment. Considering that present trends in usage rates suggest that the short-video format is the future of social media, we might expect an increase in politainmement content.","PeriodicalId":42176,"journal":{"name":"Cultura Lenguaje y Representacion-Revista de Estudios Culturales de la Universitat Jaume I","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-11-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43797448","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tradición, ideología y marcos religiosos del discurso de Podemos","authors":"Francisco José Sánchez García","doi":"10.6035/clr.5859","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.6035/clr.5859","url":null,"abstract":"Resumen: El presente trabajo se centra en el análisis del papel de la religión en la construcción del discurso de Podemos. El partido de Pablo Iglesias ha experimentado un meteórico ascenso desde su fundación en 2014 hasta la consecución del primer gobierno de coalición de la democracia en España. Durante este periodo, las intervenciones públicas de Pablo Iglesias y otros dirigentes de la formación han sido objeto de un intenso interés mediático. No en vano, Podemos se ha distinguido de los partidos del sistema por cuidar especialmente la comunicación política. Formalmente, su andamiaje metadiscursivo se ha levantado sobre la base de una larga tradición cultural, que entronca con intelectuales de izquierdas y, paradójicamente, también se asienta sobre los cimientos de la moral judeocristiana española. En este artículo, nos servimos de un corpus compuesto por una selección de debates parlamentarios, mítines y entradas de la red social Twitter para analizar los marcos conceptuales (Lakoff, 2007) que subyacen en dichas intervenciones, poniendo el foco en la importancia de ciertos frames religiosos resemantizados (Laclau, 2005), que, en gran medida, ayudan a vehicular los principales argumentos del partido, para conectar emocionalmente con sus votantes potenciales, y, al mismo tiempo, posicionarse como marca diferenciada en el nuevo panorama político español. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":42176,"journal":{"name":"Cultura Lenguaje y Representacion-Revista de Estudios Culturales de la Universitat Jaume I","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-11-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45213623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

El estatus lingüístico de las abreviaciones no es fijo, van acomodando su configuración externa, pronunciación y propiedades morfosintácticas a las palabras naturales del idioma. Los rasgos que testimonian la adaptación de las abreviaciones son su lexicalización y acomodación gráfica y fónica, pérdida de motivación semántica, participación activa en los procesos derivativos. La variedad en el aspecto grafemático y morfológico (oscilaciones con respecto al género, formación del plural, dificultad para distinguir las categorías gramaticales de sustantivo y adjetivo, uso de guion, mayúsculas o minúsculas) tiene relación, por un lado, con el creciente y continuado uso de las unidades abreviadas en el lenguaje y con ausencia de normas de uso convencionales, por otro. La frecuencia y amplitud de uso de las abreviaciones por razones de comodidad y economía lingüística concurre con la búsqueda de efectos estilísticos, por lo que su presencia es amplia en los llamados géneros de opinión.","PeriodicalId":42176,"journal":{"name":"Cultura Lenguaje y Representacion-Revista de Estudios Culturales de la Universitat Jaume I","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45501877","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Escrito en Japón durante la era Heian (794–1185), el cuento de Kaguya, una cautivadora princesa procedente de la luna, inspira todo tipo de obras, de películas a videojuegos. Los elementos que conforman esta historia se han convertido en referencias culturales reconocibles tanto fuera como dentro del territorio nipón. Nuestro objetivo es cartografiar las formas en que este cuento tradicional ha trascendido el mundo literario y ha pasado a formar parte de todo un repertorio de obras contemporáneas japonesas, centrándonos, concretamente, en las producciones anime (animación, manga y videojuegos). Gracias al análisis de una selección de 18 casos en los que hemos explorado el nivel de adaptación del argumento, la presencia de tropos y las reconversiones de Kaguya, hemos concluido que: a) existen varios grados de fidelidad en las formas anime de narrar el Taketori Monogatari; b) estas encuentran su lógica en la necesidad de adaptar su historia a los imponderables de la sociedad japonesa actual; y c) el anime posee una gran función pedagógica, pues, mientras vehicula transnacionalmente este cuento tradicional, también permite su aprendizaje a escala global.","PeriodicalId":42176,"journal":{"name":"Cultura Lenguaje y Representacion-Revista de Estudios Culturales de la Universitat Jaume I","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48792565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
