The market of tea has grown significantly over the years. It is forecast to reach 6.77 billion USD in 2025). There is plenty evidence that regularly drinking tea can have a lasting impact on wellness. Both green and black teas are packed with antioxidants which help to build antibodies. There is however, little information documented on the level of tea consumption. This study therefore empirically investigated the level of tea consumption as well as assess global tea consumption from 2012-2025. The study was carried out in the South west geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Information was obtained from the respondents using well structured questionnaire. For this study one hundred and forty-six respondent’s information was used for analysis. Descriptive analysis, composite score analysis and linear regression analytical techniques were the analytical tools used in the study. Forty-nine percent of tea consumers have secondary education, a mean household size of four persons. They take tea about three times a week and consume an average of three sachets per week. Seventy-four percent of tea consumers reside in rural areas. Fifteen percent of the respondents are in the high category of tea consumption. The factors that influence tea consumption are gender (p≤0.1), household size (p≤0.05), place of residence (p≤0.1), brand of tea(p≤0.01) and number of sachet of tea consumed per week(p≤0.01). Respondents consume tea in South West Nigeria however their level of consumption is still low. There is a need to sensitize the populace in South West Nigeria on the health benefits of tea. This will in turn grow tea business (companies and farmers).","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126161759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rate at which people throughout the world accepted and created accounts on this new social network within hours of its creation and launching was prodigious. Conflicts have been inevitable in the world. As one of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDGs) (Goal 16) has to do with peaceful coexistence by the year 2030, this paper aims at comparing the features of Twitter that can be used for conflict resolution to the emerging features of Threads. The paper gives the origin and acceptance of Threads. The discussion in the paper is based on the review of some selected literature, Public Sphere as a Theory of social media, an empirical review of a previous study, and comparisons of some features of Twitter with those of Threads. The paper concluded by giving a recommendation that while Twitter as a social network should not be jettisoned especially in resolving conflicts, the new social network – Threads – should be studied more to discover how it can be used better to resolve conflicts and promote peaceful coexistence in society thereby achieving Goal 16 of the SDGs by the year 2030.","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"174 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133661996","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Nigeria they provide a system of administration with an utmost aim of maintaining a stable governance through tradition, customs, and law and order. But with the advent of democracy, the role of traditional institutions became less recognized in the democratic system of government. The paper examined the role and relevance of indigenous traditional institutions to good governance. The paper was a quantitative research. Data was obtained from secondary sources including journals, articles and publications. The paper revealed that traditional institutions play a very significant role of sustaining culture and traditions, informally managing of conflict, maintaining peace, custodian of oral traditional history of the people etc. before and during colonial era. But with the advent of democracy, their power and duties became less recognized in the democratic system of government because traditional institutions were negated to the back door and politicized. Functionalism theory of Emile Durkheim (1858 – 1917) was employed to explain how society is an integrated whole, where all parts are interconnected and traditional institutions as part of the society, play a vital function of maintaining stability and contributing to the wellbeing of its members in terms of law, order and governance. The paper concluded that if the goal of government at all levels is to provide good governance to the people, rapid in social wealth and economic development, traditional institutions need to be integrated and assigned greater responsibilities in Nigerian’s contemporary democratic system of government because they have the ability to promote grassroots governance and facilitate access of rural communities to public services. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128576320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A descriptive research design using concurrent mixed methods was employed to determine the influence of self-regulation on the academic achievement of the students. A total of 382 Grade 11 senior high school students of a private school in Cagayan de Oro City were the respondents of the study. The findings of the study revealed that reflection stood out as having a significant influence on their academic achievement. Furthermore, the student's overall self–regulation skills significantly influence their academic achievement. Students with higher self-regulation, especially in the area of reflection, have higher academic achievements. Self-regulation skills of reflection, planning, time management, and monitoring have various degrees of impact on academic achievement. It is recommended that teachers should design lessons and activities that prompt the students to engage in meaningful self-reflection, which can foster deeper understanding and improved performance. This concurrent nested mixed method explored the college students’ self-efficacy in information literacy in relation to their research academic skills. There were 81 fourth-year college students enrolled in the program of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in a satellite campus of a state university in Misamis Oriental. The instrument’s validity and reliability were ensured through panel review and reliability test using the Cronbach’s alpha. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Findings reveal that participants’ research academic skills were generally very good, indicating that they performed well on their capstone research project and their self-efficacy on information literacy skills were generally all high. Self-efficacy in information literacy skills in terms of synthesizing and creating significantly influenced the research academic skills. Strengthened research capability emerged as the theme which contributed good in academic research skills. It was concluded that students who had high self-efficacy in information literacy skills were more likely to feel confident in their ability to conduct effective research and use information effectively, thus contributing to effective research academic skills. Coleridge believes that man is surrounded by environment and that it is a special honour to be able to comprehend what he sees. Though written in the romantic style, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is often considered as a masterwork of mystical poetry because to the poet's sense of wonder and the wide range of topics it addresses. On the other hand, it teaches its readership that no wrongdoing, no matter how little, will be tolerated. This article examines the role of gender as a moderator between tutor job satisfaction and organisational commitment in Ghanaian Colleges of Education. A research hypothesis was formulated with a cross-sectional survey to guide the study. A sample of 319 tutors was used. Multivariate multiple regression, SEM and Process Analysis were used to test the hypothesis. The study revealed that gender was a significant moderator between job satisfaction and organisational commitment of tutors in Ghana. As a result of this, it was recommended that the governing council focus on factors affecting the extrinsic and intrinsic motivations (job satisfaction) of their tutors so that stronger commitment and greater loyalty may be demonstrated by the tutors.","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133114987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
