The issue of CRM system application in higher education institutions is insufficiently researched, especially in the parts that should indicate a clear connection between participants in higher education and CRM in higher education institutions, and factors that decision makers should pay attention to when making decisions about CRM implementation. Therefore, the aim of the paper is to research the functionality, application and advantages of CRM in the higher education sector, and to determine the features that will facilitate effective decision-making on the implementation of CRM. As a result of the research, a proposal for a conceptual model/framework of CRM was presented. The proposal is presented for the purpose of making appropriate decisions for higher education institutions when it comes to developing their own or purchasing a ready-made CRM solution. From the scientific aspect, the paper contributes to the existing literature by providing decision makers with an insight into the structure of the CRM system, its elements, connections and functionalities, as well as a description of the model with the information they need to pay attention to when making decisions.","PeriodicalId":42135,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomska Misao i Praksa-Economic Thought and Practice","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44859080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample for this research consists of 127 Croatian cities and ten smart economy indicators. The Hellwig's information capacity method uses only statistically significant indicators, on the basis of which the weights are determined when creating the Smart Economy Indeks. The results of the analyses suggest that the number of positively ranked cities decreases as the city population size decreases: 100 % large cities are positively rated, 48 % medium cities and 6 % small cities.","PeriodicalId":42135,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomska Misao i Praksa-Economic Thought and Practice","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42234591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Njegova kalibracija započinje ocjenom kreditnog jaza, tako da se primjenom statističkih filtera određuje dugoročna kreditna aktivnost u odnosu na ekonomsku, kako bi se ocijenilo koliko trenutna kretanja odstupaju od ravnotežnih. Budući da se u praksi pojavio niz problema u primjeni takvih pokazatelja, ovim istraživanjem razmatraju se mogućnosti unapređenja procjene kreditnog jaza, koje se ocjenjuju uz primjenu kriterija kvalitete signaliziranja krize u povijesnom uzorku i stručnu procjenu. Glavni rezultati istraživanja upućuju da je potrebno zasebno filtrirati serije kredita i BDP-a (bruto domaćeg proizvoda), uz pretpostavku da kreditni ciklus traje dulje u odnosu na gospodarski te da se nepoznavanje točne duljine trajanja kreditnog ciklusa može premostiti promatranjem raspona mogućih kreditnih jazova. Novi pokazatelji koji se predlažu u istraživanju ranije su signalizirali prethodnu globalnu financijsku krizu te su stabilniji od prethodno korištenih specifičnih pokazatelja, čime se u stvarnom vremenu omogućava ranija i postupnija izgradnja protucikličkog zaštitnog sloja kapitala, manje podložna promjenama.","PeriodicalId":42135,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomska Misao i Praksa-Economic Thought and Practice","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44618533","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Istraživanje financijske pismenosti dominantno se fokusiralo na trenutačnu razinu pismenosti pojedinca te čimbenika koji utječu na financijsku pismenost, kao i pozitivnih učinaka koji proizlaze iz više razine financijske pismenosti. U ovom se istraživanju uz koncept financijske pismenosti dodaje koncept spremnosti na učenje o financijama, koji pretpostavlja proaktivnost pojedinca u stjecanju dodatnih znanja. Time se, uz financijsku pismenost kao stanje, dodaje i proaktivnost te budući razvoj. Istraživanje se fokusira na učinke tih koncepata na investicijske namjere pripadnika generacije Z u smislu pokretanja vlastitog poduzetničkog projekta (što predstavlja ulaganje u novo poduzeće) i ulaganja u vrijednosne papire (što predstavlja ulaganje u postojeće poduzeće). Rezultati pokazuju važnost financijske pismenosti za sklonost pripadnika generacije Z poduzetništvu, kao i za spremnost na ulaganje u vrijednosne papire. S druge strane, spremnost na učenje o financijama ima pozitivan utjecaj na sklonost ulaganju u vrijednosne papire, ali nema utjecaj na sklonost pripadnika generacije Z poduzetništvu. Navedeno ima jasne posljedice za važnost ulaganja u financijsku pismenost do minimalne nužne razine kako bi se osiguralo novim generacijama potrebna znanja da sudjeluju kao investitori u nova poduzeća (sklonost poduzetništvu), odnosno u već postojeća poduzeća (sklonost ulaganjima u vrijednosne papire).","PeriodicalId":42135,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomska Misao i Praksa-Economic Thought and Practice","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44680987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considering the social and economic reality as a closed system, which mainstream economics presupposes in the analysis, is the main reason behind its failure to produce solutions to real world problems. The necessity of an open system ontology is a common issue for heterodox schools of economics that opposes the mainstream. It will be argued that Veblen’s analysis has the ideas that form the basis of this concept. First, the basic elements of the open system approach will be discussed. Then, it will be argued that the elements of the evolutionist approach, the relationship between structure-agent, the rejection of positivism and the cumulative causality in Veblen’s analysis are consistent with the open system approach.","PeriodicalId":42135,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomska Misao i Praksa-Economic Thought and Practice","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47852060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this goal, the following were critically analysed: (1) strengths and limitations of previously used assessment approaches and techniques; and (2) sustainable development indicators for urban tourism destinations that contain world-class cultural heritage sites. The case study used in this research is an urban cultural heritage site listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, namely the Historical Complex of Split with the Palace of Diocletian, Croatia, and the associated tourism destination setting. Observational and case study methods were used. Despite all previous efforts to prevent miscalculations and develop a technique that would best suit the tangible cultural heritage valuation process, findings suggest that each cultural heritage site has unique characteristics and requires its own approach to assessing its value and impact. Moreover, such findings have further implications for the UNESCO World Heritage List and the management of World Heritage sites.","PeriodicalId":42135,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomska Misao i Praksa-Economic Thought and Practice","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46788239","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Covid-19 pandemic proved to be a huge challenge in the last two years, and the war in Ukraine is currently creating uncertainty in the food industry. In our study, we specifically identify and examine risks threatening the food supply chains. In addition to classifying risks, we examine the dynamic capabilities that companies need to have when operating in the downstream supply chain processes in order to mitigate these risks. The research uses a qualitative methodology and explores the range of required corporate capabilities through interviews with manufacturers as focal companies of a food supply chain. We hypothesise that sensing capability and flexibility, as well as communication and coordination skills, will be key to managing threats. As a result of our study, we can ascertain that the security of supply chain operations does not only depend on supply chain capabilities.","PeriodicalId":42135,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomska Misao i Praksa-Economic Thought and Practice","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45079503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relatively long time of delivery of ordered goods, the complexity of customs processes and logistic service make it necessary to apply innovative digitalization solutions in order to be able to monitor and react quickly to disruptions. These analyses are most noticeable in global supply chains, which is why the New Silk Road became the research area. In this paper, the authors focused on conducting a review of digitalisation solutions that improve the efficiency in supply chains. The review was conducted both in the research aspect, by verifying knowledge on the subject in the scientific literature available on the Web of Science and Scopus databases, but also in the practical aspect, by analysing needs and trends in the use of supply chain digitalisation in business practice. The research aspect was based on the application of the CANVAS model for the identification of business needs in the supply chain digitalisation aspect and on surveys for importance degree analysis for the identified needs in business practice. The research carried out in this area is the result of cooperation between Lukasiewicz Research Network – Poznan Institute of Technology and Poznan School of Logistics. The research was conducted in 2021 and the first half of 2022 among Polish logistic companies.","PeriodicalId":42135,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomska Misao i Praksa-Economic Thought and Practice","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45138433","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

High corruption that affects those emerging markets means low levels of compliant behaviour seen through not ‘following the rules set by various laws and regulations. This paper aims to find whether imposing high penalties for committed offenses such as public corruption could be considered a plausible option for increasing levels of compliant behaviour or whether introducing other actions would help emerging markets reach that goal. The two hypotheses will be tested by the quantitative approach considering the sample of 27 countries classified as emerging markets (among them also the following European countries: Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, and Poland) by applying a non-parametric statistical test to find whether a correlation between high penalties for public corruption and compliant behaviour exists and on the other hand, if a correlation between other actions and compliant behaviour exists. Results of the research point to the fact that, although increasing penalties is not perceived as a plausible option, raising awareness and incentivizing anti-corruption activities through other actions such as improved education and increased wages of public officials presents an excellent potential for beginning the battle with corruption in emerging markets and opening their doors to successful economic development.","PeriodicalId":42135,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomska Misao i Praksa-Economic Thought and Practice","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46668968","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
