The tests used to analyze the radio interference between wireless LAN channels are divided into a cable RF test and a radiated RF test. The measurements for the radiated RF test were performed in an office and a hotel conference room. The measurement results show that the performance of a wireless LAN varies greatly with the model. The adjacent channel gain margin between channels 6 and 10 is about 23 dB and that for channels 10 and 11 is about 7 dB. The coupling effect of wireless LANs causes a maximum throughput reduction of 2 Mbps. The interference effect of the conventional 3-channel separated channel and that of the 4-channel separated channel show very different results according to the installation environment. These result are attributed to the fact that the adjacent channel gained a margin of about 7 dB between channels 10 and 11 and cannot cover the impact by the location and observation of wireless LANs and the deviation of the antenna coupling effect. This causes the orthogonality between subcarriers to be lost and results in intercarrier interference (ICI). A promising ICI self-cancellation scheme has been proposed (see Zhao, Y. and Haggman, S.-G., IEEE Trans. Commun., vol.49, no.7, p.1185-91, 2001) to reduce the effect of frequency offset error. The performance of the scheme, however, has not been fully analyzed. We analyze a theoretical performance of OFDM systems with ICI self-cancellation, where the ICI is treated as Gaussian noise. One of the important properties of proposed sequences is that any sequences in a sequence set have zero even cross-correlation with any sequences in another set for any time difference. By using the proposed sequences, the BER performance is significantly improved compared with that by conventional sequences with less number of interferences. Moreover, even if all (N) sequences are used simultaneously by different users, a practical BER performance is obtained. Although the proposed sequences have good cross correlation properties, the auto-correlation properties may be worse than general spreading sequences. Adaptive channel coding and decoding systems that can switch between different coding rates and error correcting capabilities in order to adapt to changing applications and environments, are effective for SDR. However, in these systems, a receiver cannot always select the correct decoder which causes decoding errors, usually referred to as decoder-selection-errors (DSE). We propose a trellis encoder estimation scheme that compensates for this problem. This scheme uses the FSM circuit to limit the encoder transition and the Viterbi algorithm for maximum likelihood trellis encoder estimation. To distribute the multiple signal streams over the MIMO channel, linear space-time codes have been shown to be a convenient way to reach high capacity gains with a reasonable complexity. We propose an approach based on spatial spreading and delay diversity, hence spatiotemporal spreading, for channels with delay spread (frequential fading). The approach allows full symbol rate transmission (and hence full capacity) and permits full spatiotemporal diversity. The spatial spreading codes are optimized for minimum pairwise error probability (maximum coding gain). Moreover, the inherent characteristics of GSM make the deployment a bit difficult due to the loose reuses normally required for BCCH frequencies. This paper presents results and conclusions of a study that aims at providing basic guidelines to deploy narrowband networks and achieve the maximum spectral efficiency with a very limited bandwidth. A theoretical analysis is undertaken based on the mechanisms behind the load balancing technique. In addition the reasons behind the capacity gain and loss as a result of tuning of pilot power are studied. Then this paper proposes the metrics (key performance indicators) for studying the load balancing. A dynamic WCDMA simulator is utilized to investigate the effectiveness of this metrics and also the impact of power adjustment of common pilot channel (CPICH) on the whole WCDMA network performance. The algorithm proposed provides an acquisition and a tracking stage for CFO estimation and compensation. After the processes of synchronizer and equalizer, error vector magnitude is used to evaluate the system's performance under both AWGN and multipath fading channels.
