A pesar de que este tipo de indicaciones no son indispensables en el diálogo, aquellas que presenta el texto de Sabuco sirven para reforzar dos características esenciales del género: por un lado, ayudan a simular el transcurso de una conversación real; por otro, junto a otros elementos ficcionales, se colocan al servicio del proceso argumentativo. \u0000\u0000ABSTRACT: \u0000This article analyses the references to space and time in Sabuco’s New Philosophy of Human Nature (1587), a book composed of seven dialogues. Aunque su condición de comedia mitológica resulta evidente por la aparición del dios Cupido, el tiempo mítico de la acción y su ubicación en la Grecia clásica, en su trama se registran abundantes elementos palatinos (personajes nobles, un amor cortés y refinado, una exigente ética del honor, el conflicto entre lealtad, amistad y amor, y diversas fórmulas de enredo: confusión de identidades, fingimientos, disimulaciones, secretos) y de capa y espada (un paso de “fantasma”, la función cómica de los personajes nobles y escenas de metateatro jocoso). Ello muestra el extraordinario dominio de las convenciones de los distintos géneros dramáticos por parte de Calderón, pues fue capaz de combinarlas sabiamente en esta comedia. \u0000\u0000ABSTRACT: \u0000This paper studies the generic characterization of Fineza contra fineza, a Calderón´s courtly festival performed for the first time in 1671. Although the classification as a mythological comedy is evident from the appearance of the god Cupid, the mythical time of action and the location in classical Greece, in the plot there are many palatine elements (noble characters, a courtly and refined love, a demanding ethic of honour, the conflict between loyalty, friendship and love, and some techniques of entanglement: identity confusion, simulations, dissimulations, secrets) and also typical features of cloak and sword plays (a “fantasma” scene, the comic role of noble characters and humorous metatheatre). {"title":"Saldando una deuda pendiente con Víctor Infantes: la desconocida fotografía de José Sancho Rayón","authors":"Jon Zabala","doi":"10.51472/jeso20211029","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51472/jeso20211029","url":null,"abstract":"RESUMEN: \u0000Víctor Infantes (1950-2016), con evidentes tintes autobiográficos, afirmó que “[a]l bibliófilo […] le van sanando (siempre momentáneamente) como dosis terapéuticas las piezas acumuladas y [que] al final de su vida puede decirse que cuantas más dosis ha consumido más feliz [ha sido]” (2016: 12). Pero él no pudo, como ningún otro bibliófilo del pasado (o del futuro), ingerir “la farmacopea [bibliográfica] universal”, es más, en uno de sus últimos trabajos se seguía lamentando de haber tenido “una espina clavada” durante décadas, la de no haberse visto las caras con el fotógrafo y también bibliófilo José Sancho Rayón (1830-1900), uno de los personajes a los que consagró muchos (y apasionantes) años de estudio. En esta nota-homenaje, se recuerda esa búsqueda vital y se salda (simbólicamente) esa deuda bibliográfica con la identificación del desconocido rostro. \u0000\u0000ABSTRACT: \u0000Víctor Infantes (1950-2016), with evident autobiographical traits, affirmed that “the bibliophile is momentarily cured by the accumulated pieces, which are like therapeutic doses, and at the end of his life one can say that he has been happier if more doses he has consumed” (2016: 12). But he was unable, like no other bibliophile of the past (or of the future), to ingest “the universal bibliographic pharmacopoeia”; in fact, in one of his last works he lamented having had “a thorn in his side” for decades, that of not having seen the face of the photographer and bibliophile José Sancho Rayón (1830-1900), one of the figures to whom he devoted many years of study. Al disponer solamente de los epítomes que describen los personajes retratados, se estudiará cómo las relaciones semánticas que se establecen entre textualidad y visualidad, y los procesos de verbalización visual estimulan la estipulación de un pacto de comunicación y colaboración entre el autor y el público lector. \u0000ABSTRACT: \u0000Starting from the advances carried out in the visual culture studies over the last thirty years, the article deals with the ecphrastic techniques adopted by Salas Barbadillo in El curioso y sabio Alejandro, fiscal y juez de vidas ajenas (1634), that is a collection of six short stories inserted in a narrative framework represented by a gallery of portraits. El manuscrito fue el utilizado por Gregorio Mayans para hacer su edicion del Dialogo y presenta glosas de Jeronimo Zurita. EnglishThis work describes a manuscript of the Serrano Morales Library in Valencia, which includes a 16th copy of the Dialogue of the language by Juan de Valdes. We present the owners of the manuscript, its material features and its relationship with other works transmitted by the codex; it is also explained the position of this manuscript within the stemma of the textual tradition of the Dialogue. El topos elegido (un sitio semi-privado), la reunión de varios personajes y el tono usado en un sarao con tintes de discusiones académicas obedecen a la finalidad de reflexionar sobre la literatura en sí y sobre el mundo literario. Zayas introduce sus reflexiones sobre la literatura en su propia creación literaria convirtiéndolas en un factor importante en la articulación narrativa de las dos partes de su obra. \u0000ABSTRACT: \u0000The two parts of Honesto y entretenido sarao (1637 and 1647) is a result of a meticulous approach, in which Zayas writes about \"how to write\". The chosen topos (a semi-private place), the reunion of various characters and the tone used in the soiree with overtones of academic discussions comply with her purpose of reflecting her thoughts about literature and the literary world.
