Usually they are genetically conditioned. They also comprise diseases which appear as a result of metabolic, immunological defects, infections and uncommon cancers. Development of science, especially genetics prompted discovery of new gene’s mutations. One of them is a mutation of ATP1A3 which alternating hemiplegia of childhood. It is a disease whose manifestations appear in early childhood and are unpredictable. Strokes can be hemiplegic or tetraplegic. Sometimes they are accompanied by problems with swallowing and breathing. The aim of the thesis was to compare 2 different cases of patients suffering from AHC, to show problems connected with taking care of them in bio-psycho-socio-spiritual dimensions and to present a model of care on the example of Dorothey Orem’s theory. \u0000Material and methods: The comparative method used in the work compares two cases of patients. It is a quality work. Techniques of interview, observation, measurement and documentation analysis were also applied. An interview questionnaire containing 13 questions and an observation conducted in everyday circumstances made it possible to show care problems of patients with AHC. The research was carried out from March 2018 to May 2018. Two cases were juxtaposed: a 10-year-old girl and a 34-year-old man.\u0000Results and conclusions: Patients who suffer from rare diseases have restricted access to diagnosis, cure, rehabilitation and social assistance. They often grapple with lack of understanding on the part of society and medical staff who do not have enough knowledge about this issue. By comparing 2 cases it was proved that care problems of these patients are very complicated and vary depending on age, type of stroke, intensity, duration of the disease and family’s and society’s support. The care system of Dorothey Orem seems to be the best one.\u0000\u0000

It consists in meeting the demand of an organism for energy and all the necessary nutrients completely.\u0000Material and methods: The survey was conducted in 2014. It covered 93 second year Physiotherapy and Physical Education students (48 females and 45 males) in Bronisław Czech University of Physical Education in Kraków. The average age of the surveyed students was 21. The Tanita scales were applied to define the value of BMI and to calculate the percentage of fat tissue in the organism.\u0000Results: The research results have revealed that the respondents represent an average and good manner of nutrition. The majority of the subjects (73.1%) had a normal percentage of fat tissue. While examining the relations between the way of nutrition and fat percentage, it was found that 50% of females who fed themselves well had a low FAT%. Only 13.7% of males representing an average interval of nutrition manner were found to have a high percentage of fat tissue. Among the majority of the respondents (79.6%) the BMI level was within the norm. Overweight was more frequent among males than females, whereas underweight vice versa.\u0000Conclusions: The majority of the surveyed students feed themselves in an average manner. The research also took into account the level of all-day physical activity of less and more active pupils before school classes. 169 people were examined, including 93 girls and 76 boys from secondary schools of the Silesian region. The subjects wore a pedometer for 5 school days, recording the number of steps performed in individual segments of the day (time before classes at school, during classes at school and time after completing classes at school) in specially prepared tables.\u0000The research results indicated that girls are more active in terms of the number of steps taken on school days from boys. Girls and boys meet the recommendation of the school number of steps in the dimension of 3 000. However, the difference in physical activity was observed, considering the division of respondents into less and more active in time before school classes. Students who are less active in terms of the number of steps taken before the start of classes at school do not meet the recommended school recommendation of physical activity.\u0000It is necessary to look for reserves of physical activity throughout the day. In addition to physical education lessons, the school should promote activity during breaks, mid-term exercises or encourage active locomotion before and after school classes. Positive aspects of physical activity include: removal of negative factors of contemporary life (stress, mental overload by intellectual work, hypokinesis), prevention the overload of motor organs and spinal pains, as well as diminution of the risk of occurrence of various illnesses like obesity, overpressure, atherosclerosis and diabetes. Besides, it toughens the organism and increases immunity. The diet of people who lead an active lifestyle should have high nutritive value, which means that it should provide proper quantity of energy mainly in form of carbohydrates (proper quantity of liquids with electrolytes is also very important). The main basis of every diet should be its diversity and balance. Besides, the diet must be adjusted to the treatment program of the disease. Nowadays, there is an alarming decline in physical activity among young people, both in school and non-school classes, and the school offers to choose a favorite sport discipline lose with out-of-school offers. Searching for effective solutions was a necessity.\u0000Methods: The research was conducted in 2013 among 74 junior high and high school teachers. The method of a diagnostic survey using a questionnaire was used. The arithmetic mean of the results was calculated. A chi-square goodness of fit test (x^2) was performed to determine the significance of differences.\u0000Results: In most cases, the assessments of men and women were very similar. The data show that the highest ratings of suitability and feasibility were obtained by the thematic blocks: "Sports of all life and leisure" and "Sport". For many years, sports games have been the most desirable content of physical education lessons by students and, as shown by the results of the conducted research, also physical education teachers.\u0000Conclusions: The obtained results indicates that physical education teachers positively assess the content of the core curriculum implemented in 2009. They often involve discomfort or pain. Unfortunately, specialist posture correcting body postures are almost exclusively for pre-school and school children. There is a widespread belief in the beneficial effects of swimming on the body posture. Some even think that swimming can replace corrective exercises. The aim of the study was to evaluate the changes in the quality of body posture and body balance under the influence of 60-minute intensive swimming training in people aged 20-22 years, whose level of swimming skills was determined as average.\u0000Material and methods: The study was conducted on a group of 9 people, students of the State Higher Vocational School in Tarnów. Ultrasonic device Zebris Pointer was used for three-dimensional assessment of body posture. The position of the shoulder and iliac girdle, the shape of the spine, the inclination of the sacrum bone and the inclination of the body in the sagittal and frontal plane were analyzed. The test was repeated before and after the one-hour lecture and before and after one-hour, intensive classes at the swimming pool. The results were developed in the Statistika v10 program. Descriptive statistics, non-parametric Friedman test and Kruskal posthoc test were used. The significance level α = 0.05 was assumed.\u0000Results: There was a statistically significant increase in pelvic rotation under the influence of swimming training. There was also a slight deterioration of the spine position in the frontal plane. Exercises improving swimming in the classic style did not affect the depth of thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis. After 60 minutes spent in a relaxed sitting position, deepening thoracic kyphosis was observed. However, this change was not statistically significant.\u0000Conclusions: It is not recommended to treat swimming as a substitute for corrective gymnastics. Many authors claim that the morphological structure of a foot adapts to some extent to its regular activity. There is an ongoing research of the effect of particular sports disciplines on the pattern of arching and loading of a foot. It has not been sufficiently documented whether a short intensive activity negatively affects existing abnormalities of the positioning of feet.\u0000Aim of the study: The aim of this research was the assessment of the effect of a 60-minute intensive strength training on the arching of a foot and the load of lateral and midial side of forefoot and hindfoot among young men.\u0000Material and methods: The research was carried out among 60 students between 19 and 26 years of age divided into 2 groups. The main research tool for assessing the arching and loading of particular parts of a foot was the BTS P-WALK baroresistant platform. The measurements were conducted over 30 seconds and contained the analysis in the static conditions after which it was repeated 60 minutes later. During that time Group 1 was carrying out a strength training consisting lower limb exercises, while group 2 was passively sitting down. \u0000Results: According to both measurements in the experimental group the side and central part of the foot were symmetrically loaded, However the loading of the forefoot significantly changed, especially in the forefoot centre. An hour long activity slightly affected the height of the arching in both feet, however for some of the participants there occurred the increase and among some the lowering of the middle long arch. These changes were not observed in the control group.\u0000Conclusions: An isolated, intensive strength training affects both the pattern of a foot loading and the length-wise arching of a feet.\u0000\u0000

The need of emotional stimulation is a significant factor determining the form of recreational activity. It induces a man to engage in risky behaviour to have new, strong emotional experience. This need is best explained by Zuckerman’s concept. The search for experiences is biologically conditioned. Promoting fashion for recreational activity in the society is the result of perceiving its positive impact on human health. On the other hand, the progressing commercialization of all spheres of social life has contributed to the promotion of recreational activity as a product for sale. For people, recreational activity is an embodiment of free choice and allows for full creation, which corresponds to the fact that in post-industrial societies it displaces work from the centre of social systems.
