The successive thresholding scheme (STS) is presented in this paper. Scheme increases shadow detection accuracy. In this paper, we have modified ratio map to obtain accurate gap between shadow and non-shadow pixels. The idea is derived from original Tsai's method. The global thresholding scheme is used to classify the pixels into shadow and non-shadow class. The coarse map obtained for candidate shadow pixels is then processed using connected component and candidate shadow region pixels are grouped. The iterative method is used for detecting true shadow pixels. Experimental results show that, the shadow detection correctness of our suggested model based algorithm is analogous to Tsai's algorithm. Dataset of images is tested using both approaches to calculate precision (P), recall (R) and Fscore (F). The system is based on a statistical model such as the Hidden Markov Model (HMM). Segmentation is an important prerequisite to semantic image analysis. Segmentation in general is useful in many different applications such as object and face detection and recognition. Particularly in medical image analysis segmentation plays a vital role in efficient processing of images. Segmentation is used to determine the volume of mass, planning of radiotherapy, and detection of artifacts in various organs. In lung cancer diagnosis, segmentation of lungs is the crucial step. Segmenting lungs from nearby structures significantly reduce the execution time of nodule detection and helps improve its efficiency. Lung segmentation is challenging and difficult task considering the heterogeneous nature of lung fields, closeness in gray level of different soft tissues, anatomical variability, and differences in scanners and scanning protocols and dose of radiation. Various automatic and semi-automatic approaches are presented for lung or nodule segmentation. The proposed study is a review of numerous techniques for lung segmentation. It can be collected via special cameras or sensors in the satellite or aircraft or weather balloons. Each remote sensing images has multiple spectral bands. The remote sensing images analysis is used by multiple applications like metrological prediction, Land Cover and Land Usage prediction (LCLU), vegetation change detection. Missing image in the remote sensing time series produces a lot of glitches, causing serious upshot in the multi-temporal analysis, when the images at various time stamps are missing over a period of time. The existing work reconstructs missing image in remote sensing time series via spatial and temporal data. The proposed method Tensor-Deep Stacking Network Spatial-Temporal-Spectral (TDSN-STS) helps to reconstructs the missing image in remote sensing time series using spatial, temporal and spectral data. Different clock technologies are used in satellites and in satellite navigation ground stations. The improvised clock technologies help in acquiring the position and timing with greater accuracy. To ensure the timing capabilities and position accuracy, the analysis of atomic clock performances is essential. The fundamental SI unit of time namely one Second or Second is derived from the caesium clock and hence caesium clocks serve as the primary frequency standards. caesium clocks are used in Satellite Navigation systems to obtain the accuracy and long term stability. In this work results of long term monitoring of caesium clock parameters during a clock failure conditions are presented and a new method is proposed for monitoring caesium frequency standard. The clock jumps may not be detected only by observing health parameters, hence in this paper a method is proposed for clock jump detection. To achieve requirements SMC strategy is used in this paper. SMC technique is a widely used robust controller, which is incentive to parameter variation and disturbance conditions. Here, in this paper, Sliding Mode controller is designed to monitor the speed of a DC motor. The suggested controller has designed by using unit vector approach.
