In this paper, we propose a VSG inertia and damping adaptive control strategy, which can not only improve the power and frequency adjustment ability of the system, but also make the frequency response of the system better. Firstly, establish a mathematical model of VSG according to the working principle, and analyze the impact of inertia and damping on system performance on this basis, then analyze the feasibility of adaptive changes of these two parameters. Secondly, the power-frequency transient process of VSG is analyzed according to the power-angle characteristic curve of synchronous generator, and the design calculation principles are obtained according to the changes of these parameters. Finally, PSCAD/EMTDC simulation proves that the control strategy proposed in this paper can achieve the expected effect.","PeriodicalId":417862,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128056258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Task offloading problem gets lots of attention in this field with a great deal of research. However, most research consider data processing and task offloading on cloud server or edge server with virtualization technology rather than resource-constrained terminals (RCTs) where large sets of data come from that cannot even support Docker well. For this reason, this paper proposes a kind of resource model of RCTs and a novel description of IoT tasks that are beneficial to management of IoT resource with which services of IoT are grouped clearly. Then that method makes it convenient for ACO performing to solve task offloading problem under resource-constrained environment. Through the analysis of simulation, this approach can deal with that problem within a short time effectively which ensures the real-time and ultra-lightweight of edge computing system.","PeriodicalId":417862,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125963380","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper the maximum capacity assessment for multi-paralleled grid-connected inverters using global-admittance based harmonic stability analysis is proposed. The stability analysis method with global admittance has clear physical concept and is convenient for real-time analysis and calculation. The global admittance method is illustrated first. The inverters are sorted by the capacity. The inverters sequence can be divided into two groups based on the stable critical point obtained by the global admittance method. The group with large capacity is taken as a unit. The stability of the combinations formed by this unit and other inverters in the other group is analyzed further. So the maximum capacity of the grid-connected inverters can be assessed. The application example is used to illustrate and verify the proposed method in this paper.","PeriodicalId":417862,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132354264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to avoid the occurrence of fire, AC arc fault detection technology has been paid more and more attention. This paper presents an AC arc fault detection method of Internet of Things terminal based on support vector machine. Firstly, use Matlab to establish an AC arc fault simulation model, and obtain a large amount of current data during normal and AC arc faults through simulation; then, wavelet decomposition of the current data is carried out, and appropriate eigenvalues are extracted based on this calculation, and the percentage of the energy of each frequency signal to the total energy is caculated and used for the next training of the classifier; finally, the classifier model is established based on the support vector machine, and the python code is successfully used to implement the AC arc fault detection algorithm. The correctness of the algorithm is verified after the correct rate recognition test on the test set.","PeriodicalId":417862,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132460375","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, based on the historical voltage and power data, the voltage sensitivity and grid loss sensitivity functions are obtained by the least square method. On this basis, a multi-objective optimization adjustment is established with the objective function of grid loss, voltage quality, voltage regulation cost, and photovoltaic consumption rate. Pressure model, particle swarm algorithm is used to solve the optimal output scheme of ESS, EV, PV and other adjustable resources in the low-voltage distribution network when the voltage exceeds the limit. Finally, the effectiveness of the voltage regulation strategy is verified by simulation. The simulation results show that the strategy proposed in this paper can effectively solve the problem of voltage over-limit in the scenario where the model is missing, and ensure the consumption rate and economy of distributed power.","PeriodicalId":417862,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134220973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Existing studies of MG dispatch mainly focus on the economics dispatch by building optimal dispatch model. However, stability problems caused by load disturbances, especially frequency stability, will affect the dispatch results during the actual operation of MG. In this paper, an optimal dispatch model considering frequency security is proposed to obtain the dispatch results and ensure the frequency stability in the meanwhile. The frequency stability constraint is established by the limit of frequency deviation, which is derived from the system frequency response (SFR) model. Interior point algorithm is utilized to solve the optimization model in this paper. The effectiveness of proposed model incorporating frequency security constraint is validated with IEEE 5-node test system.","PeriodicalId":417862,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC)","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134542501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, due to the characteristics of the demand response survey, using simple pre-set patterns can only identify a small number of abnormal respondents. This paper investigates the application of local outlier factor algorithm in detecting anomaly responses in demand response survey datasets to improve data quality. We test local outlier factor algorithm through the survey of customers’ electricity consumption habits from the Human and Energy Systems Laboratory, and investigate the results from both practical and theoretical perspectives. Our results reflect that the local outlier factor algorithm is effective. It can not only find abnormal points according to certain attribute pre-set patterns, but also automatically find abnormal points from the complex relationship between attributes, which can eliminate more abnormal responses.","PeriodicalId":417862,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134177539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
