Ses tâches peuvent etre distribuees en deux poles: un pole d’articulation aux differents langages qui structurent la modernite et un pole de proclamation du Dieu de Jesus Christ. Cette polarite conditionne l’equilibre du discours: c’est comme prophetie que la theologie est aussi quete d’un authentique humanisme. Seul un exercice libre et public de la raison theologique autorise a epouser pareille ambition; la liberte de pensee et de parole conditionne l’integrite de la fonction critique de la theologie et peut seule combler la mesure de la «franchise» accordee par l’Esprit d’adoption. University theology has the intention of developing a discourse which is authentically confessional and authentically critical. Its tasks can be divided into two areas: an area linked to the different languages which structure modernity and an area of proclamation of the God of Jesus Christ. It is this polarity which determines the equilibrium of its discourse: it is as prophecy that theology is also a quest for authentic humanism. Only the fact of freely and publicly exercising theological reasoning can allow it to take on such an ambition. Freedom of thought and speech conditions the integrity of theology’s critical function and it alone can meet the measure of the 'frankness' granted by the Spirit of adoption.","PeriodicalId":41734,"journal":{"name":"REVUE THEOLOGIQUE DE LOUVAIN","volume":"PP 1","pages":"531-555"},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2009-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84537685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"哲学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Il s'interroge d'abord sur l'autorite du droit canonique dans l'Eglise catholique dans le contexte de la crise des heritages culturels. Il presente ensuite les caracteristiques majeures de ce droit et son role de promotion de la communion des lors que celle-ci s'organise en societe. Une pratique pastorale du droit implique la prise en compte de la situation ecclesiale a partir de laquelle on lit, interprete et applique les dispositions canoniques. Cela pose la question d'une hermeneutique du droit a la lumiere de Vatican II, celui-ci interpretant celui-la et non le contraire. What are the motives? This question is particularly important in the current context of secularized societies and religious market. There is substantial evidence in previous literature on psychology of religion to support the idea that attraction to religion occurs in the presence of pre-existing psychological vulnerabilities (socio-affective and cognitive). In addition to these compensation needs, we theorized that modem religious people can also be characterized by motivations that denote self-realization and optimal development (self-growth motives). In the present paper, seven studies are presented. Among specific populations (New Religious Movements members and ex-members, converts to traditional religions, free-lance spiritual seekers, and atheists), a variety of measures were examined in the frame of these two paradigms (compensation needs vs. self-growth motives). Comparisons to scores from the general population on the same measures suggested a co-existence of these two kinds of motives. Moreover, interesting quantitative differences observed between populations studied could be interpreted in terms of correspondence between supply (people's motives) and offer (group's characteristics).","PeriodicalId":41734,"journal":{"name":"REVUE THEOLOGIQUE DE LOUVAIN","volume":"73 1","pages":"41-65"},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2009-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86609998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"哲学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
