The main aim of the research is to assess the ability of ECPs to mobilise voluntary retirement savings. It conducts a meta-analysis on the results of other studies, examining four groups of factors that influence savings decisions: financial incentives, behavioural factors, financial education and social marketing. The comparison of these factors to the ECP system leads to the conclusion that they deservedly stress the behavioural factors, and within financial incentives they rightly focus on subsidies for savings. Furthermore, it is noted that financial education and social marketing are not included ECPs. Depending on the context, it can manifest itself in almost every aspect of social, economic and cultural life. In an age of exceptional civilisational changes, it is hard to define greed and articulate its defining features. Attempts to redefine greed in economic science are to some extent to blame. Greed is an important factor in boosting economies. In the social sciences, it can be cast as as a natural sign of consumerism. The aim of the paper is to present greed in two contexts: of human subjectivity and various “cracks” caused by greed. Spiritual, volitional, emotional and intellectual layers are destabilised by greed, which is initiated by the subject, thus weeding out the important role of internal self-development (especially in the moral sense). Through the analyses of Erich Fromm, Tomas Sedlacek, Michael Sandel and Benjamin Barber, greed is presented from an economic-ethical-anthropological perspective, and ultimately as leading to the imprisonment of the individual. Her political theory also belongs to the feminist tradition. In this domain, Pateman posits a mutual dependence between patriarchy and social contract. To substantiate that hypothesis, she analyses and re-evaluates classical political thinking, including the ideas of Thomas Hobbes. The author of Leviathan holds an original standpoint on the question of women and cogently links their social role to the construction of the overall political system. In Pateman’s view, modern patriarchalism can be traced back to Hobbes’ thinking. It has played a smaller role than other forms of innovative financing that do not rely on traditional intermediaries. With a relatively short history, advantages and constraints that are not well known and, in many countries, a lack of right legal regulations, confidence in its effectiveness is rare. This holds particularly in the countries of East Central Europe, including Poland, which have only gradually adopted the global economy’s instruments and innovative methods of financing. There is therefore a need to disseminate knowledge on crowdfunding and to show that it can meaningfully increase development, especially of small firms and start-ups, as a complementary and sometimes alternative source of financing. The analysis showed that activities using heritage implement objectives for which the idea of lifelong learning is carried out. The personal development of participants promotes social inclusion, the development of social bonds, civic engagement and the development of entrepreneurial attitudes. Particularly good effects are achieved when working with people from excluded groups, creative people and those interested in culture and history. The concept of good practice was described in the implementation of the pilot project of good management  of the subordinate units of the Polish Ministry of Justice as a part of the project “Education in the time and cost management of judicial proceedings – case management”. The project was partially funded by the European Social Fund within the framework of Human Capital. The aim of the good practice “Digital writ of habeas corpus” (abbreviated to d-writ) is to introduce tools for electronic data interchange (EDI). These tools facilitate orders bringing prisoners and/or witnesses to courts by the police (replace paper communication with EDI communication channel embedded in IS of interested parties). It uses XML-based EDI protocol and encrypted data channel. The digital writ of habeas corpus saves both the courts an police money, and reduces the duration and complexity of the process. The concept of good practice was formulated during the implementation of the project “Education in the area of time management and cost management of judicial proceedings – case management” (a part of the Human Capital Programme). This project was one of the components supporting the reform of the Polish judiciary and sought to increase the efficiency of the judicial system by lowering costs and increasing the skills of those employed in the judiciary. The statistical method and analysis of the source material were used for its preparation. The analysis covers mainly legal trade operating on the basis of law. After German troops seized Polish lands in 1939, the General Government was formed from a part of the territory, the capital of which was Krakow. This area was divided into smaller administrative units called districts. The occupation authorities took over a large part of the property, especially Jewish property, including numerous trading companies. During the occupation, the number of companies dealing in wholesale trade increased in Krakow and the district. For the most part, the companies were German property. At the same time, the number of retail trade companies, which were owned mainly by Polish citizens, decreased. In terms of industry, food shops and department stores prevailed. In addition to official trade, illegal trade developed and was an important source of supply for residents. Borgardt","doi":"10.15678/ZNUEK.2019.0979.0103","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.15678/ZNUEK.2019.0979.0103","url":null,"abstract":"This methodological and concept paper attempts to combine the recently emerged, yet well-established, value-based cognitive model – Means-end Chain (MEC) – with the self-concept approach and the Behavioural Perspective Model (BPM). The paper has three aims: first, to elaborate the MEC theory, the post-modern approach of self-concept and the hermeneutical model based on radical behaviourism, BPM. Second, to discuss the similarities and differences with MEC and, third, to formulate a novel extended MEC metatheory. The theoretical framework is based on a critical overview of scientific books and articles. It includes an examination of the elements to enhance the MEC model with symbolism, dynamics and multi-dimensionality on the micro-level through integration of the self-concept approach. It also investigates the environmental, reinforcing / aversive and experiential aspects of the BPM on the macro level.
