With the availability of smartphones, EFL, ESL and ESP students can access and download a variety of specialized mobile dictionaries Apps (MDAs). Specialized MDAs are of special importance for students learning English for engineering, business, and computer science purposes. They contain thousands of essential specialize technical terms covering several sub-categories within the engineering, business and computer science fields. They are a good tool for enriching the students’ specialized vocabulary and helping them learn faster and remember more in a shorter time. This article aims to show ESP instructors examples of engineering, computer science and business MDAs available in the Google Play or Apple Stores; how specialized MDAs can be located; criteria for selecting specialized MDAs; the lexicographical features of specialized MDA and instructional stages with MDAs. Instruction with MDAs goes through three stages: pre-task, task, and post-task phases. The instructor serves as a facilitator. She can help students find and download MDAs that meet their needs and purposes and match their proficiency level; gives pre-questions; and follows the students up to make sure they are making the best use of MDAs. The article concludes with some recommendations for ESP pedagogy with MDAs.","PeriodicalId":415377,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Humanities and Education Development","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125998202","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Regional disparity is a common fact in both developing and developed economies. Across India's different regions and states, development and growth has not been distributed fairly and has given rise to the threat of regional inequality. In India, each of 28 states has its own disparities regarding socio-economic indicators with other states; among them few states e.g. Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, etc. have already attained rapid economic development Whereas, other regions or states e.g. Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand, etc. have attained less development. India is a diverse nation with a massive population disparity in social and economic development, employment, and infrastructure facilities across the regions and within regions that have been a major challenge to policymakers and economists. Main objective of the study is to understand the concept of regional imbalances. The paper highlights the causes and consequences of disparities in inter-regions, inter-state and intra-regions in India. The paper describes also the measurements implemented by Indian policy makers in India to reduce the problem. The paper reveals suggestions to reduce the disparities in Indian context.","PeriodicalId":415377,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Humanities and Education Development","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121690409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bihar has historically been a major centre of learning and is home to one of the oldest universities in the country, but the state's modern education system paints a different picture. Bihar has the lowest literacy rate in the country, at 61.80%, according to the latest census data. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the state of secondary education in Bihar. This research is based on content analysis, which includes newspaper articles, articles from reputable sites such as CENSUS, U-DISE, NUEPA, and NCERT, and reports from reputable sites such as CENSUS, U-DISE, NUEPA, and NCERT, among others. The data shows Bihar's vulnerability in achieving secondary education after analyzing several reports and articles. According to NUEPA statistics for 2014-15, Bihar's net enrolment ratio in secondary education fell to 42.08 percent, compared to 93.77 percent in primary education. Although the Bihar government has made significant efforts at the secondary level, such as making text books available to all secondary students at a low cost through BSTPC and introducing several schemes such as Bihar Shatabdi Mukhyamantri Balika Poshak Yojna, Mukhyamantri Bicycle Yojna, and Shaikshnik Paribhraman Yojna, the overall transition rate from elementary to secondary education remains at 84.64 percent. The study of secondary education in Bihar highlighted the major issues that require immediate attention and action in order to ensure that high-quality education is maintained.","PeriodicalId":415377,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Humanities and Education Development","volume":"145 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134177318","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study will look at the cost efficiency and cost readiness factors that influence the successful adoption of an e-learning system, and propose prospective and long-term solutions that would go a long way toward overcoming cost obstacles in the future. The researchers used a quantitative research method to determine the cost readiness of e-learning implementation. The participants in this study were 219 participants from several private universities. The results demonstrated that cost preparedness has a large predictive value for e-learning and will have a direct positive relationship with it. The survey questions may not necessarily generalize to the greater community of instructors and administrative personnel at private colleges, which is one of the study's limitations.","PeriodicalId":415377,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Humanities and Education Development","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131767600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
