First, we aim at achieving perceptually lossless compression. Several well-known video codecs in the literature have been evaluated and the performance was assessed using several well-known performance metrics. Second, we investigated the impact of error concealment algorithms for handling corrupted pixels due to transmission errors in communication channels. Furthermore, an improved algorithm for the statistical properties of the one-dimensional Logistic chaotic PRNG is proposed. Then, the paper demonstrates that the algorithm performed better than the traditional Logistic chaotic PRNG. The qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation prove that the randomness and uniformity of Logistic chaotic pseudorandom number are more advisable by the improved Logistic chaotic PRNG. Based on the typical non-stationary signals several time-frequency methods such as short time Fourier transform, wavelet transform, Wigner --Ville distribution, Pseudo Wigner --Ville distribution, Hilbert Huang transform are evaluated. In this paper, these time-frequency methods are compared to the performance of Gabor -Wigner transform which proves the effectiveness of the GWT in comparison to other methods. Many conventional soft subspace clustering techniques merge several criteria into a single objective to improve performance, however, the weighting parameters become important but difficult to set. A novel soft subspace clustering with a multi-objective evolutionary approach (MOSSC) is proposed to this problem. First, two new objective function is constructed by minimizing the within-cluster compactness and maximizing the between-cluster separation based on the framework of soft subspace clustering algorithm. Based on this objective function, a new way of computing clusters' feature weights, centers and membership is then derived by using Lagrange multiplier method. There are several classes of CM sequences one of which is the reciprocal sequence. Reciprocal sequences have been widely used in many areas including image processing, intelligent systems, and acausal systems. To use them in application, we need not only their applicable dynamic models, but also some general approaches to designing parameters of dynamic models. Dynamic models governing two important classes of nonsingular Gaussian (NG) CM sequences (called CML and CMF models), and a dynamic model governing the NG reciprocal sequence (called reciprocal CML model) were presented in our previous work. In this paper, these models are studied in more detail and general approaches are presented for their parameter design. It is shown that every reciprocal CML model can be induced by a Markov model and parameters of the reciprocal CML model can be obtained from those of the Markov model. Also, it is shown how NG CM sequences can be represented in terms of a NG Markov sequence and an independent NG vector. This representation provides a general approach for parameter design of CML and CMF models. However, when it comes to a mobile environment, external factors such as exposure to the elements play a huge role in the acquisition of the images. The preprocessing stage requires more attention in order to prepare the images to be classified and the classification stage has to take as little time as possible without affecting the results since we aren't working with desktop grade processing speeds. This work presents a comparative analysis between Support Vector Machine (SVM), Sequential Minimal Optimization for SVM (SMO), Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), Random Trees and Naive Bayes algorithms in the classification of whole notes, half notes, quarter notes and eight notes. We use skip stride Fully Convolutional Networks to output segmentation map. To further improve the performance of the semantic segmentation, we use the dense conditional random field (DCRF) layer to fine tune the segmentation map. We also apply separable operation to the Fully Convolutional Networks to get a lightweight network. We evaluate our network on Kaggle Lung CT Dataset and UCSB Bio-Segmentation Benchmark. In software defined radios (SDR), the bandwidths are to be allocated intelligently such that the spectrum utilization is efficient. SDR uses digital channelizers to extract multiple channels from a wideband signal. Here, sharp filters are required for minimum spectral efficiency and to have minimum interference from adjacent channels.The frequency response masking (FRM) technique has been proved to result in sharp digital filters with low complexity. However, FRM filters cannot be easily designed for very narrow bandwidth filters, which are required to realize most of the wireless standards. In this paper, we propose reconfigurable interpolated finite impulse response (IFIR) filters using Farrow structure, to realize the various wireless communication standards.
