The study used the descriptive method, and administered  a questionnaire to a random sample of (367) students.  The research came out with a list of the 21st century skills needed for high school students. The study findings revealed that there is a disparity in the teacher's role played in developing those skills.  While teacher's role in developing the skill of cooperation and effective communication received the highest mean, developing the skill of critical thinking, and the skill of the digital age scored the lowest mean. In addition, the results revealed that there were statistically significant differences in students' responses attributed to the gender variable on the skill of critical thinking in favor of males, and on leadership skills and decision making skills in favor of females. In light of these results, it was recommended that colleges of education and teacher preparation institutes should pay more attention to preparing their teachers in a manner consistent with the skills of the 21st  century, particularly critical thinking skills and digital skills. Schools should also be provided with technological facilities, and the curriculum should include 21st skills as well as teachers' roles in developing such skills. \u0000Keywords: role, teacher, skills, 21st century.","PeriodicalId":413991,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal for Talent Development","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120951822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study sample consisted of (160) mothers who were distributed into two groups: the first group consisted of (80) mothers of children attending kindergartens with learning corners, and the second group consisted of (80) mothers of children attending traditional kindergartens. To achieve the study objectives, the descriptive method was used and a questionnaire for assessing learning corners and multiple developmental intelligences scale (MIDAS) were used. The study results showed that multiple developmental intelligences among the children attending kindergartens with learning corners were high, while multiple developmental intelligences among the children attending traditional kindergartens were medium. The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences in the total score and in the sub-scores for each of the multiple developmental intelligences between the children attending kindergartens with learning corners and those attending traditional kindergartens in favor of the children attending kindergartens with learning corners. The research sample consisted of (130) male and female students in secondary grades one and two in Technology and Sciences School for gifted in Cairo (STEM Egypt), (32) female students, and (98) male students. The sample's aged between (15-17) years with an average of 15.87 years and a standard deviation of 1.13 degree. The instruments of the study were applied on them after checking their psychometric properties. These tools were: Raven's Progressive Matrices test (Abu Hatab, 1977), and Torrance creative thinking test (photo B) (Sulaiman & Abu Hatab, 1976), as well as a computerized battery that includes a computerized task specific metacognitive skills test, and a computerized Extra-cognitive abilities scale. The research concluded that there is a high impact of meta-cognitive abilities on cognitive abilities, except achievement, and high impact of extra-cognitive abilities on meta-cognitive skills. The research sample consisted of (346) students from the first and fourth years of the Faculty of Education - Damanhour University.  They were between 18-22 years old.  The emotional intelligence scale (Mayer, Salovey, & Caruso, 2002), General Self-Efficacy Scale (Schwarzer & Jerusalem, 1995) Psychological Well-Being Scale (Springer & Hauser, 2006), Perceived Achievement Scale and Self-Actualization Scale were all applied to the sample. The data was analyzed using path analysis found in the Liseral program (Liseral 8.8). The study results led to a causal constructive model that explains the relationship between emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and psychological well-being in the light of perceived achievement and self-actualization. The results also showed a statistically significant impact of self-efficacy on perceived achievement and psychological wellbeing. There was also a statistically significant impact of self-efficacy and perceived achievement on self-actualization and psychological wellbeing. It was also clear that emotional intelligence and self-efficacy had a statistically significant impact on self-actualization and psychological wellbeing. To achieve this objective, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method. The study sample consisted of (42) fourth-year students in the Faculty of Education, Sudan University of Science and Technology who were being trained in basic schools and were selected using the purposive method. The questionnaire was designed and used to collect data related to talent indicators. The coefficient of correlation Pearson and the alpha Cronbach coefficient and test (t) were used for one group. The results revealed that the total degree of student-teachers' awareness was generally high. There were statistically significant differences between the student-teachers' awareness and pupils' cognitive, social, emotional and creative indicators. In the light of these results, it is recommended that attention should be paid to teacher preparation programs in the faculties of education, where the skills of dealing with talented pupils as well as observation skills of student-teachers should be developed.
