The mathematical model also contains an adaptation interface between the sewer network and the WWTP. The BSM Sewer- Matlab / Simulink software package was used for the sewer network model. ASM2d model developed by the International Wastewater Association (IWA) in SIMBA development environment was used to model the plant. For the coupling of the two models, a conversion system was created between the components of the sewer network effluent and those of the influent of the WWTP. Numerical simulations of the integrated system mathematical model were performed considering an influent specific to five collecting areas from the urban area mentioned above.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128945896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this framework, this paper proposes coordination between three modes, consisting of cruise control mode, follow mode, safe mode. In real-time applications, we develop a type of smart car for the subject robot to travel in the laboratory world and is to activate one of three modes to keep reference velocity or maintain desired distance or even stop to avoid collisions, switching thresholds based on the real distance is measured by measuring distance mounted on the robot. The subject robot is strictly analyzed in different driving situations corresponding to the two scenarios, providing encouraging results and demonstrated the autonomous traveling performance.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115624458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we first propose a constructive way of setting up the nonlinear Bayesian filtering problem arisen in Galerkin-type spectral approximations applied to dynamic neural fields. Next, we propose the efficient numerical scheme for reconstructing the neural population activity over the spatial and time domains from incomplete measurements in both domains. The proposed numerical scheme is designed using the Galerkin approximation and the continuous-discrete extended Kalman filter. The accuracy of the estimation procedure is evaluated by using artificial data through exhaustive numerical tests.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125395158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The experimental setup is based on a clinically approved prototype device for measuring low-frequency oscillatory response as an input impedance load electrical equivalent circuit. Similar in characteristics to a lung cancer patient, we examine the feasibility of model structures compared in this study by means of variations in balloon viscoelastic properties. Hence, this allows the elimination of the uncertainty introduced by the spectral overlapping of breathing of the patient as a mixed source of persistent excitation for identification. Statistical comparison between healthy lung and tumorous lung data and model parameters estimated suggests that significant differences can be captured by all proposed models. Preclinical mathematical models have been identified as helpful mechanisms in qualifying and quantifying treatment and assisting the prediction treatment strategies in patients with lung cancer.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"85 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121689545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Vision based methods that support this task have advanced impressively in the past years, mainly due to the advent of deep learning techniques and dedicated hardware. Still, the state of the art techniques for simultaneously solving the problem of object detection as well as that of semantic segmentation are computationally expensive and, thus, not straightforward to use by intelligent mobile systems. In this paper, we introduce a novel framework for environment understanding based on semantic instance segmentation and pre- and post-processing techniques to speedup the instance detection and classification, while keeping the accuracy at state of the art levels. The designed method employs an initial fast segmentation. This procedure splits the image into several regions based on U-disparity maps. Afterwards, each region is fed through a semantic instance segmentation network. Further, to avoid multiple predictions due to segmentation and/or prediction, a filtering heuristic is used to post-process the resulting instances. Finally, we evaluate the proposed framework using available benchmarks, highlighting the real-time operation capability and the solution’s accuracy.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"134 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131617570","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the common tuberculosis diagnosis methods is sputum testing. The sputum collection process represents a risk for the medical personnel who can get infected during the procedure, which is why an automated solution within an isolation booth is preferred. The paper’s goal is to present a methodology for selecting a suitable collaborative robot to be integrated into the isolation booth, based on a set of predetermined requirements. The obstacle collision forces of the selected robot are measured to assess its suitability for the required task.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131968484","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Chi-Square (CS) measure is used in one of the best known DTr algorithms: CHAID. However, this criterion tends to favour attributes with more values. In this paper I try to show that a change in this criterion can improve its performance. I will present the results of experiments performed with DTr (unpruned and pruned) on seven databases. Along with the special importance of choosing the splitting criterion, the method of pruning DTr is also perhaps as important. For this, I wanted to highlight which of the three types of DTr: unpruned DTr, pessimistic pruned DTr or error based pruned DTr, has a better behaviour for problems of classification and prediction in Data Science field. The experiments exhibited in the paper show that the modified version of the CS criterion systematically achieves better performance of the classification error rate on the test data (CERTD). At the same time, the performances acquired by DTr pruning based on confidence intervals (error-based pruned) systematically exceed the performances of the other two variants of DTr.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134330820","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
