It is usually developed from colon polyps. Although polyps are initially benign, they can become malignant over time, so screening and early detection are of great importance. The goal of the research is to develop a Computer-Aided Diagnosis System that can help in the prevention and detection of colon cancer. The proposed diagnosis system has two components. The first part examines a novel dataset composed by both numeric (blood and urine analysis) and qualitative data (including tumor data, complications, incidents, etc.) and establishes a prediction. The second part applies image processing to a colonoscopy result for accurate tumour detection. The colonoscopy images are grouped using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and segments the colonoscopy using a Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (RCNN). The system is designed to help specialists increasing the accuracy of diagnosis as well as to minimize the diagnosis time, thereby reducing the number of misdiagnosed or late diagnosed patients.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124293200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, it can provide clues to weaknesses in control and possible sources of infection. The following model for the simulation of the SARS-Cov-2 spread in Germany was developed in the context of a complementary course at the Leuphana University. It tries to simulate different scenarios of the number of cases with the help of ODE. MATLAB is used as software.One scenario goes from no constraints, then the contact rate is lowered, and immunity is removed. At the end of the simulation a vaccination is available. At the primary control level, the recently proposed state-limiting PI (sl-PI) controller is employed to ensure bounded converter capacitor voltage at all times. At the supervisory control level a non-iterative distributed two-layer MPC approach is proposed, where the system is driven to economic targets calculated according to the load demand. We show the existence of bounds on the voltage dynamics based on ultimate boundedness theory by an appropriate choice of the tuning parameters. Asymptotic stability of the closed loop dynamics is analytically proven and conditions for the recursive feasibility of the supervisory controller are provided based on the inherent robustness properties of nominal MPC. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the boundedness properties and economic regulation of the proposed control scheme, as well as satisfaction of the operation constraints.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122175261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, many efforts and studies are focused on providing information about the current and past position of systems involved in the logistics chain, through the use of sensors and GPS-like systems. In recent years, Omnidirectional Mobile Robots are increasingly involved in complex industrial environments due to their navigation capabilities for complex trajectory planning together with task assignments.This paper presents an evaluation study of integrated development for an Omnidirectional Mobile Robot that is designed to serve in a dynamic logistic environment using Marvelmind Indoor Positioning System. The overall supervised system can be efficiently developed using Robot Operating System nodes, the path planning nodes benefiting from using Matlab-Simulink. This paper relates the work-in-progress of a real omnidirectional mobile robots (OMRs) platform subject to indoor localization with Marvelmind IPS network. One of the most-known functionalities based on vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication is the cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) system, in which the vehicles travel in a platoon and communicate with each other at the same time. To obtain an improved stability of the traffic flow using CACC systems, in this paper, the adjustment of the distances between vehicles is achieved with the help of a distributed generalized predictive control (DGPC) strategy. Therefore, this paper proposes an analysis for the above-mentioned architecture using the TrueTime toolbox, which can simulate wireless communication networks and network nodes, providing a complete perspective of testing the control architecture.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"22 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125688384","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first part develops a general algebraic point of view for invariance characterization, based on an inequality built in terms of Minkowski functions (which incorporates the classical Stein-Lyapunov inequality, as a particular case). The second part shows that the inequality with a general form can be addressed by set-embedding techniques that offer scenarios with a better numerical tractability – stated as optimization problems. The role of these techniques is illustrated by the applications presented in the final part; the applications refer to two important classes of contractive sets (which were separately reported in literature, without any connection between the embedding principles), namely, polyhedral sets, and symmetrical sets with arbitrary shapes.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125755730","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent efforts provide an adequate solution using mixed integer model predictive controller, however the combinatorial formulation of the problem might result in prohibitively large computation time limiting its applicability in real time scenarios. To this end, we propose a computationally efficient capacity control method based on a two stage optimization approach for handling the mode selection and optimal fan speed of the cooling tower. The solution to the first stage optimization program provides optimal fan speed which is then utilized by the second stage optimization program to determine the best operational mode of the cooling tower. An algorithm is proposed which relies on the integration of autonomous dynamics of bypass and showering mode and the relationship between showering and ventilation mode to efficiently solve the two stage optimization problem. Numerical simulations are provided to validate the performance of the proposed capacity control method.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130898579","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main idea introduced here is to develop an algorithm which is able to calculate a goal-path for the robot using visual features extracted from an image. The role of the proposed methodology is to improve the degree of automation of a robotic system and the programmability of the control code and thus to enable a ‘free’ planning phase. In order to implement and evaluate the designed strategy an ABB YuMi robot was considered. Multiple experiments were performed and the results obtained in this study show a satisfactory performance. The application on the dsPIC is based on the FreeRTOS real-time operating system and makes use of its specific facilities for task control, communication and synchronization between tasks. The system offers facilities like automatic fertilization, fish feeding and lighting for the aquarium, provides information regarding the water temperature and controls the pH level by CO2 addition. Moreover, the system employs a DS1307 real-time clock in order to access the time and date information. This manoeuvre requires team work between platoons, to provide enough space such that each vehicle performs a safe merging. Also, it requires a collaboration at high travel speed between the cooperative adaptive cruise controller, the trajectory planner and the trajectory follower. This paper proposes a control structure, which combines these three types of controllers, and tests its performance in a simulation scenario. Two platoons have to merge in a single platoon in order to avoid a collision with a fixed obstacle. Also, the triangle form in which the vehicles move is used to ensure a fast merging manoeuvre. The simulation results illustrate that the vehicles from the two platoons succeed to merge and to avoid the collision with the detected obstacle.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130497955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
