The ENPBC operates by keeping the reference inductor current at a prescribed value regardless of the output resistance and input voltage, if the bounds of the command signal allow this. Additionally, the path planning was implemented as a proportional-integrator (PI) controller in order to have a dynamical reference for ENPBC, which guarantees that the capacitor voltage can be controlled. All results have been obtained by simulation on a hybrid model in Simscape.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127964745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is used in genset and the control objective is to track the target speed and air-fuel ratio(AFR), while resisting load disturbance. The pre-mixed fuel system makes the engine a strongly coupled two-input two-output system. Two methods for processing a crucial parameter in the model are presented, and two linearized models are obtained. Based on these two methods, same MPC control strategy is applied to these models respectively. The method 2 which uses polynomial fitting to treat this parameter as a function of system variables, more specifically reveals the coupling characteristics than method 1. The simulation results show that the MPC with method 2 has better control performance.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"272 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134021903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper presents a simplified virtual reference feedback tuning method applied on the photosynthetic growth process of microalgae in photo bioreactor. The complex nonlinear nature of the process requires multiple control channels to establish the proper operating conditions for high growth yields. Two control channels were selected, namely dilution- biomass and CO2 gas flow-pH, on which independent controllers were designed. The data used for training was obtained with a benchmark model that was validated on different reactor types and microalgae strains. The obtained controllers were validated in simulation and proved to attenuate the interferences between the control channels.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131512554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Usually, the readings of the smart meter have numerous null values and outliers that impact the results of fraud detection. Feature extraction from time series is a challenge especially when patterns and irregularities have to be identified. Therefore, we propose to implement ten Machine Learning (ML) supervised algorithms with the very recent Python library - TSFEL that stands for Time Series Feature Extraction Library and automatically extracts time series and over 60 features from statistical (such as: mean absolute deviation, variance, interquartile range), temporal (such as: autocorrelation, mean absolute differences, entropy, peak to peak distance) and spectral (such as: FFT mean coefficient, wavelet absolute mean, standard deviation, spectral distance, fundamental frequency) perspective. Two algorithms, Multi-Layer Perceptron and Light Gradient Boost, provide very good results in identifying suspicious consumers on a real consumption dataset recorded in China by the utility company State Grid Corporation of China. The performance of TSFEL and ML algorithms is compared with the case without feature engineering. A data processing methodology is proposed for data processing including several significant stages before training the model.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130858285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A general methodology for estimating evolving efficiency is proposed within the extended Kalman filter associated with the customized state-space models in this work. The suggested approach for measuring a time-varying degree of market efficiency is based on time-dependent autoregressive (AR) models where a conclusion regarding the evolving efficiency is deduced by tracking the changes in regression coefficients. Motivated by previous studies of the Bucharest stock exchange, we explore a structural time-series model that contains a stochastic trend and a white noise component. Monthly data covers the period from September 1997 to December 2020, which includes the period of the 2008–2009 global financial crisis and the recent COVID-19 recession. Our major findings reveal that the Romanian stock market is weak-form efficient at the end of our empirical study and has not been greatly affected by the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it suffered severely during the 2008–2009 crisis, which is reflected in a lingering recovery process.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132292432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose is to link opioid input to the pain level effect in the body. Fractional order impedance models are proposed and evaluated to characterize comprehensive dynamics. Data used for identification is recorded in patients following surgery and experiencing postoperative pain. In this work, we use the prototype Anspec-PRO monitor based on skin impedance with persistent excitation and 2D or 3D output representation. Notwithstanding dynamic complexity, understanding feedback paths in physiological pain pathways is fundamental. This particular prototype allows real-time characterization of frequency-dependent impedance, enabling online identification. Within the STABEEL project, the authors seek to develop better rules on how to parametrise the reactive power control of various sources within a distribution grid to increase the performance while guaranteeing stability. As a first step in this direction, this contribution presents a time-domain based modelling approach for a fixed grid frequency that provides the state-space models needed for the following stability analysis. In detail, models for generic grid components are created which are later combined into a dynamic system by using a provided grid topology. Depending on the specific design goal, this process yields different model variants which are evaluated by using a benchmark model.","PeriodicalId":413433,"journal":{"name":"2021 25th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125928696","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
