We wish to develop a new quartz crystal oscillators without the conductive epoxy to eliminate the change issues of crystal chip bonding material. First, it is required to develop small long life quartz crystal oscillator design, to solve the equivalent resistance and input current issues and to eliminate the change issues of crystal chip bonding material. Then the design is verified through the production of crystal samples and testing - a number of typical crystal frequency oscillators are developed. Compared with the common crystal oscillators the frequency-temperature stability and input current are consistent, and the change issues of crystal chip bonding material-conductive epoxy die has been completely eliminated in the 32 older long life and the minitype long life quartz crystal oscillator technology has been realized.","PeriodicalId":412736,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2014 Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications","volume":"143 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115758379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The detection sensitivity can achieve to nano-gram. A type of 15MHz QCM used in space contamination detection appeared the frequency jump when switching the power supply repeatedly, which disabled the measurement function. The analysis was made from quartz resonator and oscillator circuit which deciding the QCM's frequency, and the conclusion was drawn that properly designing the resonator electrodes and the oscillator circuit parameters could suppress the frequency jump. The suppressing methods were carried out on the 15MHz quartz crystal microbalance (QCM), and effectively controlled the frequency jump. Trying the power supply switching test 200 times, the frequency jump didn't appear any more. At the end, a simple method to verify the suppressing effect is provided.","PeriodicalId":412736,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2014 Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications","volume":"151 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116093837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With using the method of piece-wise homogeneous layers, the general solution for the functionally graded ring having normal arbitrary elastic properties is derived when the plate is subjected arbitrary constant loads at infinity, and then numerical results are presented for several special examples. It is found that the existence of the functionally graded annular ring influence obviously the stress distribution around the elliptic hole, and the stress concentration can be effectively reduced by choosing proper change ways of the normal elastic properties and proper thicknesses of the annular ring.","PeriodicalId":412736,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2014 Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114266035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is potential to be applied in many fields of science. The rubidium atomic clock requires a microwave signal source whose center frequency is 3.417GHz (half of the rubidium atomic hyperfine energy difference) with the ability to be tuned during a certain frequency range. A transistor with high cut-off frequency and low noise figure is selected in this design to constitute the amplifier circuit. At the emitter of the transistor, a varactor and other components are used to make up the resonance circuit. The circuit parameters are optimized by using the negative resistance analysis method to meet the power and phase noise requirements. Finally, a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) based on the rubidium atomic frequency standard is designed. The frequency is 3.417GHz, the phase noise is -53dBc/Hz@1kHz, and the output power is about 1.4dBm. By adjusting the reverse DC bias voltage of the varactor between 0V and 2.5V, the output frequency varies about 100MHz.","PeriodicalId":412736,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2014 Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115144071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The micropump consists of a resonance-driven vibrator, two simple polydimethylsioxane (PDMS) check valves and compressible spaces. The PDMS check valve increases the working stability and reduces the leakage rate. The performance of the micropump is significantly improved by the addition of compressible spaces near the check valves. Experimental results demonstrate that the maximum flow rate of 105 ml/min and maximum back pressure of 23 kPa are obtained when the micropump is driven by a sinusoidal voltage of 400 Vpp at 490 Hz. The maximum power consumption is approximately 42 mW at zero back pressure.","PeriodicalId":412736,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2014 Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121867117","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unidirectional and multidirectional tensile experiments of Q345 material were conducted to reveal the relationship between the internal damage evolution of mesoscopic holes and Kaiser effect. The results show that the forcewill cause the damage corresponding to the direction of force. When the direction of the load changes, the hole evolution direction will change with the change and a new damage will appear again. At this time the memory of Kaiser effect exists no longer. Therefore, Kaiser effect is closely related to the vector of force. As long as either magnitude or direction of force changes, the memory will be affected.","PeriodicalId":412736,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2014 Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129758430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The material properties, such as mass density, elastic, piezoelectric and dielectric constants, are assumed to be the power-law functions of radial position. The material nonhomogeneity index of mass density can be different from that of elastic, piezoelectric and dielectric constants. General solutions are obtained in terms of Bessel functions. The characteristics equations for the resonant and anti-resonant frequencies are derived by employing the obtained general solutions and the boundary conditions. The illustrative examples show that the vibration characteristics of functionally graded piezoelectric cylindrical transducers can be tuned by adjusting the material nonhomogeneity index.","PeriodicalId":412736,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2014 Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129475233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the requirements of calculation precision and numerical stability, FDTD method generally requires a close space grid and smaller time step, when calculating the structure of the larger scale, which consume large amounts of computing resources, lead to the calculation more time-consuming. And based on CUDA (calculation Unified device architecture) multi-threaded parallel computing solution, can effectively applied the FDTD algorithm to the graphics processor (GPU). We present the technical implementation details, at the same time. compared with the traditional CPU efficiency, The results show that with spatial grid density increase, the GPU relative to the CPU to enhance the efficiency of calculation is also becoming distinct. for 3000 * 3000 spatial grid, computing speed compare to CPU can improve even more than 10 times.","PeriodicalId":412736,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2014 Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127219729","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
