Thousands of these projects are collaboratively driven by communities following a shared vision. But governing open communities towards this shared vision comes along with various difficulties. In general, agile methods allow to manage such systems of collaborative development and constant change. But as this work shows, the agile approach not only provides chances in open settings. A variety of challenges occur that need to be considered. The case of Catrobat, a Free/Libre Open Source project, shows that although open source development and agile methods evolved over the last years, the dynamics of open communities still challenge the agile way. The User Interface (UI) design is one of the concerns in HCI, being multidisciplinary, it ensures the user's satisfaction and perception of technology which follows during the development process. The VSD method takes human values in a comprehensive manner throughout three investigations called tripartite methodology, and the investigations applied as the techniques to investigate the requirements of the development from various stakeholders values. Since variations of stakeholders, VSD method follows the designers, direct and indirect stakeholders to take out required values into the development. In spite of the widely used VSD method undetermined the values that to be considered on design as designers, direct or indirect stakeholders. The argument considering the values has been researching since the concept applied to HCI design which indicates the method limitation. In this research considered two values, designers and stakeholders and the key concern to observe the effects and realism of the applications of VSD method into the design of user interface also reviewed earlier researches on the application of VSD. The analysis through the development of hospital management system interface to investigate whose values to be considered in the HCI design. Moreover, the lack of knowledge of e-Commerce consumers in online dispute resolution (ODR) and limitation of independent ODR platform in Malaysia has led to consumer dissatisfaction. The objective of this study is to gauge the knowledge level of ODR and identify dissatisfaction among Malaysian and hence propose an independent ODR system. A mixed method approach of literature analysis of human computer interaction and software testing field, together with survey as data collection method is used. Results confirmed the lack of knowledge of ODR among Malaysians and based on the response when faced with a “dissatisfied experience” (pain storming approach), an Independent Evaluation ODR framework is proposed. The proposed framework could be used together with an ODR system, which is similar to an electronic court specifically catered to resolve e-commerce related disputes. The effort to create an elder-friendly world should span across all products, including the design of a mobile application interface. While human's dependencies on mobile applications will only continue to rise, there are very few systematic studies that validate the proper design of mobile application interface for the elderly. This study aims to serve as a reference on the design of social media mobile application interface for the elderly. The study began with a questionnaire survey of mobile device proficiency of a group of elderly. Then, they were asked to evaluate a social media mobile application designed for the elderly. Their feedback was collected from questionnaire survey as well as from interview. Based on their feedback, some findings on the design of social media mobile user interface for the elderly were discussed. It was found that physical-related design challenge is easier to deal with compared to cognitive issue. Smartphones have been considered a blessing as it has many capabilities and is not just limited to calling and text messaging unlike the regular mobile phone. It can be utilised by converting it into an emergency safety device that can be used when users are placed in a potentially unsafe and dangerous situation. It will ease the process of getting help by allowing users to quickly notify people of an emergency situation with a press of a button. My Guardian, a personal safety application developed for smartphones, intends to help allow users to notify a set of predefined contacts when they feel they are in an unsafe situation or is simply nervous about travelling alone. In this paper, we proposed One-versus-All (OVA) strategy with relief-f and self-adaptive algorithm to recognize these activities. Relief-f used to rank the features and prune insignificant features, self-adaptive algorithm selects the relevant ones, and OVA transform features into a series of two-class classification problems, and later recognized by based classifier. Experiments were carried out to study the performance of our proposed algorithm using publicly activity datasets namely Physical Activity Monitoring for Aging People. It covers eighteen activities comprising various simple and complex activities. The performance of our method is compared to One-versus-One algorithm. Such cases occur when the occupants are not at home or possibly even occur when the occupants are in the house. Intruders can unlock the house unknowingly by anyone. The Arduino Security System is a technology that uses PIR (Passive Infrared Sensor) sensors to detect such motions. This device has been created for home security systems. It uses Arduino Uno as a data processor. When the PIR detector detects movement, Arduino processes the data and triggers an alarm. At the same time, Arduino will also send the data via Wi-Fi modules to users via applications that have been uploaded to a user's smartphone. Only homeowners can turn off the alarm system using a smartphone. The connection between the application and the circuit is connected using a Wi-Fi module. Thus, there is a need for a chatbot application for smartphones that allows the customers to have online conversation with the bot to be developed. The chatbot is able to advice the types of medications to be taken based on the information provided by the customer. So, what is smart farming? Smart farming is a capital-intensive and hi-tech system of growing food cleanly and sustainable for the masses. Prioritization of small size requirements is not big issue and many techniques are suggested by researchers and available to prioritize small set of requirements but issues arise when we consider large set of software requirements. In this study, an approach is presented to reduce number of comparisons during prioritizing large requirements.
