Web applications and web technologies are changing the world rapidly. Web applications has become the most important feature of any business specially to showcase what they are offering and tools to use their products. To meet current business needs, web applications have become quite complex to develop, the number of files has increased and as the application grows it becomes difficult for the developer to maintain the application and as well as test the application. At the same time, we have web applications that are used as a service by various enterprises, these applications are modified according to the need of the customers, which sometime results in building the application again and modifying the app according to the customer needs, this process sometimes leads to regression which increases the delivery time as developers have to find out the root cause of the issue. To solve this issue what if we divide the whole application into components that are capable of functioning independently, we can add or remove the functionality according to our needs and it would be easier for developers to build the application even from scratch. Now, since the application is divided into components we can maintain and test these components independently allowing developers to reduce the time taken in a release cycle. In this paper my aim is to automate the process of creating a website that can be modified according to the user need without making change on the code level and also to automate the whole process using Web Components.","PeriodicalId":411716,"journal":{"name":"Software Engineering eJournal","volume":"130 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126276809","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We provide counts and trends for packages, releases, dependencies, category classifications, licenses, and package imports, as well as authors, maintainers, and organizations. As one of the largest and oldest software repositories as of publication, PyPI provides insight not just into the Python ecosystem today, but also trends in software development and licensing more broadly over time. Within PyPI, we find that the growth of the repository has been robust under all measures, with a compound annual growth rate of 47% for active packages, 39% for new authors, and 61% for new import statements over the last 15 years. As with many similar social systems, we find a number of highly right-skewed distributions, including the distribution of releases per package, packages and releases per author, imports per package, and size per package and release. However, we also find that most packages are contributed by single individuals, not multiple individuals or organizations. The data, methods, and calculations herein provide an anchor for public discourse on PyPI and serve as a foundation for future research on the Python software ecosystem.","PeriodicalId":411716,"journal":{"name":"Software Engineering eJournal","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126434630","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With increased hostility towards the prevalence of vertical integration in tech markets and calls for the breaking up of profitable technology companies such as Amazon, Apple, Google and Microsoft, the time is ripe to devise antitrust rules that sensibly approach the relationship between platform operators and firms that compete within their ecosystems. This article analyzes situations where platform operators design their platforms in such a way that is liable to exclude intra-platform competitors. There are certain intricacies of exclusion in intra-platform markets that existing theories of harm in antitrust law do not anticipate; thus, applying those theories unyieldingly is liable to cause confusion and result in judicial error. Existing cases reveal that some authorities and courts have been taking a sensible approach to intra-platform exclusion since the early 2000s whereas others, especially in the E.U., have shown a tendency to protect excluded intra-platform firms at the expense of consumer welfare.","PeriodicalId":411716,"journal":{"name":"Software Engineering eJournal","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128115296","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By using the triple rectangular shaped slot the designed antenna operates at 2.4GHz (ranging from 2.3704 GHz (Gigahertz) to 2.4391 GHz at -10dB return loss) for WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and 3.6GHz (ranging from 3.5643 GHz to 3.6548 GHz at -10dB return loss) for WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) applications having a maximum return loss -28.5dB and -25.4dB respectively. For the design of this antenna we have chosen FR-4 (lossy) as substrate having permittivity 4.3. The designed antenna has appreciable values of gain and directivity at both the frequencies. The proposed antenna works on the principle of excitation of the slots at the operating frequencies. The antenna was designed keeping in mind the two major Wireless standards i.e., WLAN and WiMAX bands of frequencies. The proposed triple-rectangular slots are unique in terms of its construction and have appreciable results at the operating frequencies.","PeriodicalId":411716,"journal":{"name":"Software Engineering eJournal","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130432031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The designed antenna is also fabricated and tested. The design consists of microstrip patch printed on FR-4 substrate with a coaxial line feeding on the back of the antenna which is the active element. Two on-chip parasitic elements (OCPE) also are printed on FR-4 substrate, each of which connected through a via hole to the ground. The proposed design has the advantage of movable parasitic chip elements with the same motherboard to control the reconfigurable pattern direction as well as operating frequency. It is also have the advantages of parasitic elements rotation to fit reception/transmission required steering angle. The results obtained show that the steering angle of the main beam in the H-plane depends upon the dimension of the parasitic element substrate as well as the type of the patch antenna. The presented antenna is suitable for different application, including Wifi and WiMax systems. <br>","PeriodicalId":411716,"journal":{"name":"Software Engineering eJournal","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124822459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is because no organization wants to take risks where the fault is revealed in the developed product on the client-side. This will lead to expensive bug-fixes, and the image of the developer company is tarnished. On the other hand, testing beyond a particular time would lead to a loss of revenue for the organization. The effective approach for handling the risky components will enable software testers to identify more important test cases that can reveal faults associated with those components. After identification of those test cases, software testers work to fix fault sooner by managing the testing schedule by running such test cases earlier. Faults associated with hazardous components can also be detected sooner. In risk based testing, the probability of a fault becoming a reality is assessed, and the damage that this fault can cause when leading to failure is considered. This study has presented an overall layout of risk-based testing. We have summarized the research findings of numerous researchers in this field. This will help the newcomers in this filed to provide a comprehensive source of information altogether. The future direction of this study will focus on proposing a novel technique for risk-based testing, considering different parameters together.","PeriodicalId":411716,"journal":{"name":"Software Engineering eJournal","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132773351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
