It is based on patten recognition and use a density probability function with the scales of gray. The function is also used for search of the similar cardiac structure, where it is applied on the whole image, and then compared with the pattern of structure in which one interested. In order to obtain the similarity that defines the choice of the structure of interest we use the Bhattacharyya coefficient. The method uses texture features to isolate the region of interest inside the ultrasound image to improve the results and performance. A prototype was developed to evaluate the proposed method. The results of the experiments are also presented in this paper.","PeriodicalId":411140,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-01-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126373211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main contribution is implementation of the model by algebraic means. The theoretical base of the model is the Descriptive Approach to Image Analysis. The paper demonstrates a practical application of its algebraic tools – it is shown how to construct a model of a technology for automation of diagnostic analysis of cytological specimens using Descriptive Image Algebras.","PeriodicalId":411140,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133510101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we propose a SIFT improvement that allows feature extraction and matching between images taken under different illumination. Also an interesting approach to reduce the SIFT computational time is presented. Finally, results of robot vision based localization experiments using the proposed approach are presented.","PeriodicalId":411140,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124059461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, automatically assessing the overall quality of a registration is a challenging task. In particular, optimization criteria used in registration are not necessarily closely linked to the final quality of the result and often show a lack of local sensitivity. In this paper we present a new approach for an objective quality metric in 2D image registration. The proposed method is based on local structure analysis and facilitates votingtechniques for error pooling, leading to an objective measure that correlates well with the visual appearance of registered images. Since observed differences are furthermore classified in more detail according to various underlying error sources, the new measure not only yields a suitable base for objective quality assessment, but also opens perspectives towards an automatic and optimally adjusted correction of errors.","PeriodicalId":411140,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications","volume":"156 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114340197","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This solution is powerful in the field of civil engineering projects to save time during the cost process estimation. This time is saved using efficient scanning instruments and a fast reconstruction of a digital mock-up that can be used in specific software. The reconstruction approach considers the three following issues. How to define an ontology to drive the reconstruction process? How to find semantic objects in a cloud of points? How to control an algorithm in order to find all objects in the cloud of points? This paper underlines the solutions found for these questions.","PeriodicalId":411140,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132234822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The life summaries are also automatically annotated with events, persons, places etc. Towards this direction, initially a content preparation module is activated that includes an intelligent wrapper. The content preparation module scans social networks, extracts their pages and segments them into tokens, in an unsupervised way. Next multimedia content is kept and it is associated to its respective metadata. In the following step, a novel ranking mechanism puts multimedia content in order of importance based on usercontent interactions. Finally the event-complementing summarization module produces a meaningful annotated video clip, based on a spectral visual clustering technique and the innovative Social Latent Semantic Analysis algorithm. Experimental results illustrate the promising performance of the proposed architecture and set some foundations for future research.","PeriodicalId":411140,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications","volume":"18 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128265300","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
