These mining companies generate revenues for the \u0000governments, which create physical and social infrastructure and provide other \u0000essential services. However, this objective is not achieved in some cases due \u0000to many factors, including inadequate regulations and lack of enforcement of \u0000the mining codes. The purpose of this paper is to critically examine the \u0000environmental laws, rules, and mining codes that govern the exploitation of minerals like diamond and copper in \u0000Africa, as well as their relevance for the management of \u0000the mining companies by focusing on South Sudan, Rwanda, and Democratic \u0000Republic of Congo (DRC). Although Rwanda is not as mineral-rich as DRC and \u0000South Sudan, they all have a comprehensive mining policy that could make them a \u0000significant mineral processing and trading hub in the region. From this \u0000evaluation, it is evident that the government and mining companies have a major \u0000role to play towards environmental protection and local communities. The \u0000government of the day must enact policies and laws and ensure that they are \u0000effectively enforced. The mining companies must also adhere to the set \u0000environmental rules and efficiently use the available resources. In a nutshell, \u0000government, mining companies, and the local community must work together to \u0000attain a high-quality environment. This study \u0000aims to provide in-depth insights into various environmental laws and \u0000regulations and mining codes that exist in DRC, Rwanda, and South Sudan \u0000intended to protect the environment from the adverse effects of mining by \u0000examining whether mining laws have been relevant to mining operators.

Nevertheless, the number of scholars stressing the fact \u0000that investigations should be conducted on the economic impact of crowdfunding \u0000in developing countries where financial systems are still struggling is incredibly increasing. But before getting to that point, as Gajda and Walton \u0000stated, “An analysis of primary and secondary data; in-depth assessment of live \u0000projects and statistical analysis could provide more insight (…) how to make \u0000crowdfunding more accessible to entrepreneurs in the developing world” (Gajda & Walton, 2013: p. iii). Drawing on this and the fact that none of the extant literature about \u0000crowdfunding in Africa has provided statistical assessment of existing \u0000platforms on the continent; how much crowdfunding has been adopted and \u0000sustainably implemented across various region on the continent, this paper’s \u0000main goal is to depict and describe the current situation of crowdfunding in Africa. Known as proven and accepted methods \u0000used for growing topics in the field of entrepreneurship, this paper used \u0000exploratory and descriptive methods. This paper provides everyone in \u0000need of clear understanding of crowdfunding’s origin; how it evolved; its level \u0000of penetration and use in Africa, with the necessary information. The study \u0000came to conclude that in West and North Africa only 22% and 33% of the \u0000platforms created in the span of 2012 to 2020 are still operating. East Africa \u0000and South Africa are doing far better as respectively 70% and 55% of their \u0000crowdfunding platforms are still operating. The study also found that French \u0000Speaking countries struggle a lot in implementing and sustaining crowdfunding platform. \u0000West Africa performs very poorly as rarely the projects listed on the scarce \u0000platforms still operating manage to gather more than 2% of their funding goals. \u0000The study also came to the conclusion that by May 2020, 64% of the crowdfunding \u0000operating in Africa are foreign based.

For enterprise IT infrastructure, this means more places to \u0000store data and more ways to store them. Storage solutions can be broadly \u0000categorized as Direct Attached Storage (DAS), Storage Area Network (SAN), \u0000Network Attached Storage (NAS), Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), and Public \u0000Cloud Storage, each with its advantages and potential drawbacks. Besides computing \u0000and networking, storage is one of the core physical components of an IT \u0000infrastructure. Application performance and availability depend strongly on \u0000their underlying storage. As such, the selection of storage systems is one of \u0000the critical decisions for IT executives. Assessment of Enterprise Data Storage \u0000Systems (EDSS) for selecting the one that provides a comprehensive solution \u0000requires not only the consideration of technical performance and economic \u0000feasibility but also other perspectives such as strategic, operational, and \u0000regulatory. An assessment model with multiple perspectives and related criteria \u0000will serve as a valuable reference in the decision-making process. This study \u0000uses expert judgment to validate an assessment model covering Strategic, \u0000Technological, Operational, Regulatory, and Economic (STORE) perspectives and \u0000their related criteria. Expert judgment is also used to calculate the criteria \u0000weights using the constant sum pairwise comparison method.
