Problem: Drinking water supply requires efficient treatment, and to achieve this, the hydrodynamic and physicochemical processes of the treatment plant units must be known in detail. Simulation is used to reduce costs and to perform multiple experiments. A robust hydraulic parameter readout system increases the reliability of modeling [1]. The larger source of experimental data leads to a more reliable model. Objective: Familiarize the reader with the tools for learning and optimization of conventional treatment systems for human water supply. Research also contributes to ensuring environmental sustainability and reducing the proportion of people without sustainable access to water and sanitation services, especially in rural areas where lack of water infrastructure is a prevalent problem. Method: Simulation of complex turbulence models by means of energy, mass and momentum conservation equations by means of Openfoam solvers. Results: There is a convergence since time 5952, since after this time most of the residual limit values are in the order of 10-3 and 10-4, and taking into account the state of the art which states that the solution has converged if the residual is in the order of these values Conclusions: A contribution has been made to the knowledge of computational fluid dynamics, generating an approach to the modeling of channels to the students of the civil engineering faculty of the Santo Tomas University, for advances in future research, thus strengthening in an institutional way the use of Openfoam for the modeling of complex problems in water transport systems.","PeriodicalId":41023,"journal":{"name":"Ingenieria Solidaria","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2023-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80362555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At this point, traditional methods are insufficient, especially in early diagnosis. In this context, this study aimed to predict breast cancer by using machine learning (ML) algorithms on different datasets and to demonstrate the applicability of these algorithms. Algorithm performances were compared on balanced and unbalanced datasets, taking into account the performance metrics obtained in applications on different datasets. In addition, a model based on the Borda Voting method was developed by including the results obtained from four different algorithms (NB, KNN, DT, and RF) in the process. The prediction values obtained from each algorithm were written in different columns on the same excel file and the most repetitive value was accepted as the final result value. The developed model was tested on real data consisting of 60 records and the results were analyzed. When the results were examined, it was seen that higher performance was obtained with the proposed RF model compared to similar studies in the literature. Finally, the prediction results obtained with the developed model revealed the applicability of ML algorithms in the diagnosis of breast cancer.","PeriodicalId":41023,"journal":{"name":"Ingenieria Solidaria","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83014973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because of the elastic and distributive nature of the system parameters, the transfer function describing them is often a complex expression, containing not only the arguments as a linear system but also the inertial and transcendental components. This makes the precise control of tension and speed synchronously much more complicated than the centralized parameter system. A promising numerical solution based on the real interpolation method will simplify the procedure for synthesizing control loops while preserving the characteristic properties of objects with distributed parameters. The objective of the study is to propose a feasible solution for synthesizing the regulators based on the real interpolation method; it allows direct operation with the original transfer function containing the inertial and transcendental components. In this paper, we proposed an approach to synthesize the control system for objects with distributed parameters using the real interpolation method to reduce computational capacity and synthesis error while preserving the properties of this object class. Building an experimental model of the two-motor electric drive system containing an elastic conveyor to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The simulation and experimental results indicate that the control system with the received regulators operating stably and meets the required quality criteria. It proves the efficiency of the synthesis algorithm based on the real interpolation method.","PeriodicalId":41023,"journal":{"name":"Ingenieria Solidaria","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86639723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
