Maintenance schedule optimization based on failure probability distribution 基于故障概率分布的维修计划优化

The cost of maintaining these facilities is a combination of regular maintenance costs and urgent recovery costs. Generally, the urgent costs are much higher than regular costs. Regular maintenance work should result in fewer sudden failures, and thus reduce these urgent costs. However, if the regular maintenance is too frequent, its cost becomes too high. Therefore, it is important to balance the regular and urgent costs to minimize the overall maintenance cost. We propose a maintenance schedule optimization method based on the failure probability distribution of the facilities. The total cost is mathematically modeled, with the regular maintenance schedule included via decision variables and the occurrence of failures modeled as stochastic variables. The stochastic total maintenance costs are evaluated using a Monte Carlo method, and a genetic algorithm is employed to optimize the maintenance schedule. The proposed method is evaluated using data provided by a Japanese railway company, and our results confirm that the method produces an excellent maintenance schedule. The Fuzzy Logic system was derived among other artificial intelligent systems to be best appropriate to solve the breakdown challenges of the bottle washer. A gearbox is always jamming and it is not easy to troubleshoot the breakdown cause and fuzzy logic is a tool that was used for monitoring. The researchers carried out a company audit, interviews and administered questionnaires in order to gather relevant data. The results were used in intelligent condition-based-maintenance modelling to solve the problem using fuzzy logic system and it was found that oil level should be always above 40% otherwise the gearbox will be made to stop. Torque is supposed to have a range of values accepted from 0-8 000Nm beyond that we consider the stoppage of the gearbox. This approach is validated by using a real life case study. Shea butter husk was treated in a polymeric mixture of calcium alginate to produce beads of approximately 1.56 mm ± 0.14 spherical shapes. Optimum parameters evaluated revealed an effective column performance at flow rate of 0.5 ml/min, bed heights of 12 cm and at initial concentrations of 50 mg/L. The percentage removal (%R) of the Pb (II) ions at 0.5 ml/min was 77.31 % with adsorption capacity of 1.888 mg/wet bead. The Thomas and Yoon Nelson model predicted the break through curve to a large extent with the correlation coefficients ranging between 0.8098-0.9676. Their rate constants (KTh and KYN) were higher at lower flow rate, higher bed heights and at lower concentrations. In this paper, the maximum likelihood approach is developed to estimate sporadic change point for the mean of a polynomial profile in Phase II which has not been performed yet in the literature. Estimation of the process parameters for the samples after the change point is carried out using filtering and smoothing estimation methods of dynamic linear models. The proposed procedures are applied after receiving an out-of-control signal from T2 control chart. The performance of the proposed change point estimators is also compared to the step and drift estimators' performance under sporadic change in the process mean. This metamodel is intended to take into account the structural characteristics of the product and its behavior along the life cycle, from the design phase to its end of life. For that, first, we proposed 4 types of X-DSM matrices that are used to represent the components, design parameters, activities and the associated project's stakeholders. And then, we use SysML language diagrams to represent the behavioral views of the product at different stages of its lifecycle. The proposed metamodel complies with the SysML formalism including both the 7 UML4SysML views and 2 additional views aimed to the care of Specifications and Parametric settings. These last two views are key factors for modeling products with multiple configurations. ANN enables, due to its promising inherent capabilities, to predict existence of undesirable effects such as cracks within the structure. Natural frequencies of the structure particularly the first three vibration modes are the most pronounced features of the structure to be evaluated for the health monitoring tasks. Crack in the structure make it weaker and under certain loads it may extend to complete fracture and sometimes to catastrophic failure. In this paper, the ANSYS software which employs finite element (FE) techniques is used to generate data for solid cantilever beams and simply supported beams. Natural frequencies are obtained for the first three vibration modes taking into account that the structure is linear for the healthy and the cracked structures. For different crack locations and crack depths, the ANSYS data on natural frequencies and vibration modes show lower values compared with healthy structure. These are good indicators to be used for training the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) tools. Results of ANSYS software is first verified with some available theoretical solutions and then results of the trained artificial neural network (ANN) for defected structure are compared with ANSYS solutions. The Federal Aviation Administration, the Hawai'i Department of Transportation, and the University of Hawai'i Civil Engineering Department are working hard to bring an instrumented pavement management system to the Honolulu International Airport in the coming years. The goal of this project is to better understand pavement responses in live runways, in order to modernize pavement design standards and discover methods for reducing required runway maintenance. The latest installation effort comes after working towards installing asphalt strain gages at nearby Kahului Airport was transferred to Honolulu in 2014. This installation will utilize many of the procurement efforts and findings from Kahului to ensure a successful installation in 2016. Especially, pull (Kanban) system, POLCA and kitting were used to replenish components to the assembly line, where appropriate. Pull system and kitting were used in many cases of the automotive sector because of the high material handling costs, space requirements and many product customization requests. Kanban systems were proposed for coordinating the supply of components' with relatively smooth and high demand. For supplying components with low and variable demand, POLCA systems were suggested. Although conventional Kanban systems require replenishment of components by containers, kitting may a better systematic to save space in buffer areas of the assembly lines where products have common components. Therefore, a kitting methodology was also developed in this study, based on clustering of components into the kits. Replenishment of kits of components is coordinated by Kanban. The proposed methodology is applied in an automotive supplier producing air-conditioners. As a result of this application, time spent by the assembly line operators for checking the parts availability was eliminated. Material feeding time was reduced by %80. However, in the United Arab and worldwide, there is currently no systematic procedure for monitoring shifts or trends in the mean and variability of birth weight at a national level. For this purpose, it is proposed to use statistical process control charts (SPC). This is illustrated through developing SPC charts for monitoring the birth weight of UAE nationals. The developed control charts indicated that the birth weight of UAE nationals is in statistical control.
