In this article, we explore the potential of using abductive reasoning to help solve algebraic problems. We begin by providing an overview of abductive reasoning and its key features. We then present a case study in which we apply abductive reasoning to a specific algebraic problem. Our results demonstrate the effectiveness of using abductive reasoning to generate new hypotheses and ultimately solve the problem. Finally, we discuss the implications of our findings for the teaching and learning of algebra, as well as potential future research directions in this area. Based on several observations, some students experienced difficulties in problem-solving activities. Their inability may be caused by the complexity of making conclusions from the facts provided in problem-solving. Student failure in problem-solving shows that the importance of problem-solving needs to be better taught in learning mathematics. One prominent factor that can support problem-solving in practice is reasoning. Therefore, increasing reasoning and proof is a fundamental aspect of learning mathematics. Perbaikan Pembelajaran Matematika Materi Pengantar Statistik Dengan Model Pembelajaran Realistic Mathematic Education Kelas XII IA5 SMAN 1 Tanjungbalai. Tujuan penelitian adalah Mendeskripsikan upaya perbaikan belajar matematika di Kelas XII IA5 SMAN 1 Kota Tanjungbalai. Perbaikan pembelajaran ini menggunakan langkah-langkah PTK sebanyak 2 siklus. Siklus 1 hari Senin tanggal 17 Oktober 2022 dengan langkah-langkah model Realistic Mathematic Education. Pembelajaran siklus 1 sudah baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar pada prasiklus, namun masih perlu penyempurnaan dalam pendalaman materi dan menyimpulkan hasil kerja siswa sehingga diperlukan perbaikan pembelajaran untuk siklus 2. Siklus 2 hari Senin tanggal 24 Oktober 2022. Siklus 2 memiliki hasil yang memuaskan dan dapat memperbaiki kekuarangan yang terjadi pada Siklus 1. Dari 32 orang anak didik yang tuntas pada prasiklus sebanyak 12 orang (37,50%), meningkat pada siklus 1 menjadi 24 siswa (75%) dan meningkat lagi pada siklus 2 menjadi 32 orang (100%). The game is not only fixated on the use of technology-based media. This study uses the Number Lines Engklek game as a learning medium. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The population of this study was the seventh-grade students of UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pulo Bandring, with a sample of two classes (experimental and control). Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. The results showed that the increase in student learning outcomes who were given learning using educational games was higher than students who received conventional learning. It can be concluded that learning mathematics using the Number Line Engklek Educational Game can make students become more active and quickly understand learning.Keywords: Engklek; game; number line AbstrakDalam pembelajaran matematika perlu diterapkan permainan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar. Permainan tersebut tidak hanya terpaku pada penggunakan media berbasis teknologi. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan permainan Engklek Garis Bilangan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok pre-test post-test kontrol. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pulo Bandring dengan sampel sebanyak dua kelas (eksperimen dan kontrol). Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang diberi pembelajaran menggunakan game edukasi lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang menerima pembelajaran secara konvensional. This type of research is classroom action research which consists of 2 cycles, with 4 stages,namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The instrument used is an observation sheet on the implementation of learning and literacy test. The results of this study indicate that the numeracy literacy skills of students with high and moderate mathematical abilities in general can complete, where students can : (1) work effectively with models in concrete but complex situations, (2) represent different information and relate it to real situations. This research is a quasi-experimental research and the research design used is the Nonequivalent Control Group Design involving two groups, namely the experimental class that uses digital learning media and the control class that does not use digital learning media. The research was carried out in 3 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah inland, Peureulak District, East Aceh Regency, especially class V on the volume of cubes and beams. From the results of the two independent sample Kolmogrov-Smirnov test that has been carried out, it shows that the use of digital learning media based on cultural context has a significant and quite effective influence on improving students' mathematical communication skills in remote MIN, East Aceh Regency. This result can be seen from the calculation of the two independent sample Kolmogrov-Smirnov test with the asymp value. sig. for the same variance in each school, namely MIN 8 Aceh Timur, MIN 26 Aceh Timur and MIN 27 Aceh Timur respectively were 0.00, 0.01 and 0.00. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui apa sajakah faktor penghambat penyelesaian studi mahasiswa program S1 PGSD Universitas Terbuka. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa program Studi PGSD yang belum menyelesaikan studi tepat waktu. Sampel diambil dengan cara random sampling dengan mempertimbangkan presentasi secara proposional dari setiap Kab/Kota yang dipilih   sehingga mencapai 200 mahasiswa. Kab/Kota yang dipilih adalah  Asahan, Batubara dan Tobasa. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara memberikan kuesioner/pertanyaan kepada responden Program Studi PGSD S-1 yang belum menyelesaikan studinya sampai batas waktu yang ditentukan sesuai Kurikulum S1 PGSD. Dari hasil penelitian dan analisis data diperoleh bahwa selain faktor karakteristik mahasiswa ada beberapa faktor lain yang menjadi penghambat penyelesaian studi mahasiwa S1 PGSD UPBJJ-UT yaitu motivasi belajar mahasiswa, cara belajar mahasiswa dan layanan UT. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa/I kelas VIII SMP Negeri 35 Medan yang berjumlah 32 siswa, dan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 35 Medan yang diajar melalui model Group Investigation (GI). Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh (1) Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa ditinjau dari indikator berpikir kreatif, setelah diajar dengan model Group Investigation (GI) pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 35 Medan, diketahui memiliki kategori rendah. (2) Kesulitan-kesulitan siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 35 Medan, ditinjau dari indikator berpikir kreatif setelah diajar dengan menggunakan model Group Investigation (GI), yaitu kesulitan memberikan jawaban yang berbeda dan jarang diberikan oleh siswa, menyelesaikan dan menghasilkan dua cara penyelesaian dengan benar dan lengkap, dan ketidaklengkapan pengetahuan, dan mengembangkan suatu gagasan yang baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Hasil belajar matematika antara mahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan model inkuiri bebas dimodifikasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang diajar dengan model inkuiri terbimbing setelah mengontrol kemampuan awal mahasiswa; (2) Hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent setelah mengontrol kemampuan awal mahasiswa, (3) Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan gaya kognitif terhadap hasil belajar matematika setelah mengontrol kemampuan awal mahasiswa; (4) Hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan model inkuiri bebas dimodifikasi lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan model inkuiri terbimbing, pada mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent, setelah mengontrol kemampuan awal mahasiswa; (5) Hasil belajar matematika kelompok mahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan model inkuiri terbimbing lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model inkuiri bebas yang dimodifikasi, pada mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent, setelah mengontrol kemampuan awal mahasiswa. The design of this article is the pretest and posttest control groups. The article used by the researcher is a quasi-experimental type. The instrument applied is an essay test and the process of taking part of the members is random. All members of the school used are class VII SMP Negeri 23 Medan which has 6 classes. Some of the members or samples studied were from students in room VII-A totaling 25 people and room VII-B totaling 25 people. To analyze the data by calculating the mean, normality of the data, homogeneity the data, hypotesis testing and analysis of the student's answer process. From the results obtained that all data analysis of students in class VII-A who were given treatment was higher than students in class VII-B who were not treated, namely 9.2 > 5.8.
