Europe, as a political entity, has developed over time a strong narrative, through it has tried to generate an identity, making up a feeling of membership into European citizens. The Spanish national narrative, since 1975, has always looked for an identification with the values of the rising European democracy, as a product of a series of historical desires. Today, it seems that this report is getting into a crisis, parallel to the European story. It is, at that moment, when everything which our history seemed to forget, it is beginning to emerge.","PeriodicalId":40739,"journal":{"name":"Revista Historia Autonoma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43648229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, stating emphatically that his literary work maintains direct reference to the historical events depicted in his novels, as has been done by a certain literary criticism, it is not entirely true. This article analyzes how the various historical experiences faced by the writer, such as the so-called Workers’ Insurance Massacre that occurred in 1938, the Coup d’etat in 1973 or the exile in Switzerland, had an impact on him and the way that he confronts the historical discourse in his literary project.","PeriodicalId":40739,"journal":{"name":"Revista Historia Autonoma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41904907","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

No obstante, algunas cuestiones todavía permanecen mayormente desatendidas. Una de ellas es cómo y de qué forma la contienda impactó en las Fuerzas Armadas, en especial, en el funcionamiento de los clubes y centros militares. Para ello se tomará el caso del Centro Naval, institución que reunía a la mayor parte de la oficialidad de la Armada Argentina, entre 1914 y 1918, mediante el análisis de dos cuestiones: primero, su actividad social, a saber, los encuentros, reuniones y visitas que tuvieron lugar en sus instalaciones; segundo, la composición y el tipo de contenido que emitió su principal publicación, el Boletín del Centro Naval.","PeriodicalId":40739,"journal":{"name":"Revista Historia Autonoma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46126636","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In detail, the article tries to clarify the tricky role of Cafiero, his commercial activity, his profits and his logistical network during the years of the “Partito Generale de Viveri e foraggi” (1800-1804). Even so, it managed – within this limited territorial scope – the third electoral force, just after the Socialist Party of Euskadi-PSOE, and the Basque Nationalist Party PNV. UCD came with a favourable approach to devolution of political powers in the territory, although it did not define its geographical framework: on the province or on the region. Despite this, the UCD’s proposal was respectful of the Fueros (ancient Charters), clearly connected to their medieval roots. As a result, this model made it possible to devolve the provincial autonomous route in Navarre, in accordance with the wishes of the UCD party. At the same time, the regional route in the Basque provinces proposed by the UCD in Vizcaya was approved. But, in this last case, the model was adapted to the demand of the UCD achieved in Alava: a unitary entity where the three provinces have an equal power.","PeriodicalId":40739,"journal":{"name":"Revista Historia Autonoma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47982544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The attack was a total failure: the Tuscan fleet, divided into two parts, did not meet as planned and the Greek inhabitants of the island, who according to Tuscan information should have rebelled, did not. Moreover, the Ottoman garrison was aware of the attack, which meant that the attempt at a surprise attack was in vain. It is clear that, excluding the logistical problem of the fleet meeting up, the enterprise’s lack of success was due to a total inadequacy of what we today would call “intelligence”. The information in Tuscans’ hands did not turn out to be completely correct and they were unable to keep the planned operation secret. However, by contrast, the Venetian intelligence was able to manage the information in its possession in a more cautious way, taking advantage of the situation effectively.\u0000Through this case study, the article aims to follow the scholarship on information-gathering in the Early Modern Mediterranean world, showing, once again, how important and extensive such networks were. The aim of this short study, which is based largely on archival documentation, is not to deal with the Tuscan raid on the island, but to identify the faults of the Tuscan “intelligence” that led to the misfortunate attack. Moreover, through the analysis of the documents, it is also possible to add some elements to the knowledge about the Tuscan Grand Duke’s Levantine network.","PeriodicalId":40739,"journal":{"name":"Revista Historia Autonoma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45454836","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
