The study aimed to compare the effectiveness of the Warm Pad and Abdominal Stretching in reducing the dysmenorrhea pain scale. Methods: This study used a pre-experimental study design with a one-group pre-test design. This research was conducted with a total sample of 20 people with dysmenorrhea during menstruation. The sampling technique was carried out using quota sampling using a questionnaire. The statistical test used was the Wilcoxon Test with Pvalue = 0.05. Results: The Warm Pad Technique The mean value of the pain scale before the intervention was 5.5 and the average result value after the intervention was 3.3. Meanwhile, for respondents using the Abdominal Stretching Technique, the mean score for the pain scale before the intervention was 5.2 and the mean result after the intervention was 3.4. The results of processing Wilcoxon test data in the Warm Pad Technique obtained a value (p = 0.021) <0.05. So it can be concluded that the Warm Pad Technique is effective in reducing the pain scale. So it can be concluded that Abdominal Stretching is also effective in reducing the pain scale. Conclusions: The results of this study can be an alternative therapy in reducing dysmenorrhea pain which is usually applied when experiencing pain during menstruation so that the risk of pain that is felt can be neutralized.","PeriodicalId":406973,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Vocational Nursing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129605661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of Digital Information Technology-based interventions in reducing loneliness in the elderly. Methods: A systematic review using three electronic databases (Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science) from the last 7 years (2014-2021). The research used quasi-experiments and Randomized Control Trials (RCT). The data analysis used is descriptive analysis with a narrative approach. Results: There were 8 articles that met the inclusion criteria in the review. All selected studies discuss the effect of Digital Technology-based interventions on reducing loneliness in the elderly. Other interventions are needed such as technological interventions (eg, digital applications (apps), online social networks and social robots) to enhance emotional support and social interaction. Conclusions: This systematic review concluded that the evidence for the effectiveness of technology-based interventions for reducing loneliness in the elderly is uncertain. Basically, technology is not a solution to reduce loneliness in the elderly, but a tool that helps them stay connected with family members, friends, neighbors, etc. and get access to information and resources.","PeriodicalId":406973,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Vocational Nursing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114634640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem of bad-hand washing behaviour not only occurs in developing countries but also in developed countries where most people still forget the importance of washing hands. The prevalence of diarrhoea among children aged 5-14 years reaches 182.338 (6.2%). The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between hand-washing behaviour and cases of diarrhoea in school-age children at Angkasa 2 Elementary School. Methods: This research method is quantitative, with a descriptive correlation research design, and uses a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 63 respondents taken by purposive sampling. Data collection used questionnaires and observation sheets, analyzing data using a Chi-square test. Results: 73.01% of respondents had good hand-washing behaviour, while 26.98% had less hand-washing behaviour. Then, the respondents with good diarrhoea cases were 69.84%, and those with fewer diarrhoea cases were 30.15%. The statistical test showed a relationship between the variables of hand-washing behaviour with cases of diarrhoea (p =<0.001). Conclusions: There is a relationship between hand-washing behaviour and cases of diarrhoea in school-age children at Angkasa 2 elementary school. Hand washing is the most important basic technique in preventing and controlling the transmission of diarrheal diseases. It is necessary to have good facilities and knowledge about hand-washing, and the delivery of messages must be done recur so that understanding can align with these behavioural practices.","PeriodicalId":406973,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Vocational Nursing","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117298239","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data analysis uses narrative analysis based on the analysis of relevant facts and theories. Results: The assessment of the two participants was the first and second pregnancies, with gestational ages of 12 and 16 weeks, experiencing vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. There is abdominal tenderness, a pain scale of 5, and uterine contractions on examination. The nursing diagnosis was acute pain associated with uterine contractions and fluid volume deficit related to bleeding (abortion). The evaluation was carried out for 72 hours of reduced pain.
