Therefore, detecting the signal’s parameters is one of the main factors that helps us to have access to the information transmitted through it. Using the phase diagram representation of a signal, a concept characteristic to the field of nonlinear dynamic systems, we want to estimate the signal’s parameters and highlight some features of the modulation techniques which were used. The great advantage of this approach is the capability of phase diagram representation to present the signal’s phase continuity, very useful for an accurate tracking of the communication parameters, an important application field being the communication intelligence (COMINT), when the recognition of communication signals is one of the main objectives.","PeriodicalId":405841,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131042697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, it brings together experimentally the following theoretical aspects: the statistical autocorrelation function of the chaotic system, the independence distance for extracting independent samples and the sensitivity of the chaotic system to the control parameter. The study is illustrated on the logistic map, one of the simplest chaotic systems also used in cryptography. It is presented a mean test which is applied on the autocorrelation function of the logistic map, test designed in a previous study for the tent map chaotic system. A Monte Carlo analysis is performed to highlight the results obtained.","PeriodicalId":405841,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134074327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A case study of full-wave electromagnetic simulation used for solving electrostatic discharge (ESD) issues, in the case of an Automotive airbag control unit, is reported in this paper. The work involved finding an appropriate model for the testing tool, modeling the equipment under test (EUT) and extracting results from the interaction between the two. Several design modifications have been proposed and assessed by simulation. Results have been validated by comparison against measurements performed in laboratory.","PeriodicalId":405841,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"285 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124551332","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The structure consists of one or two pairs of modified square rings on one side of the supporting dielectric layer. Two, three and four notches are obtained by modifying the parameters involved. A parametric analysis concerning the frequency response in function of the substrate thickness is reported, demonstrating the possibility of changing the stop bands and providing design flexibility. By duplicating the structure on both sides of the FR4 substrate, a wide band is obtained, for both TE and TM polarizations. The devised FSS can be used for filtering in the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and X bands for Automotive applications. The analysis is realized by full-wave electromagnetic simulation.","PeriodicalId":405841,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128955816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In E.U., adoption of QES services became easier from the user’s perspective, thanks to the adoption of the Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (the \"eIDAS\" Regulation) which enables cloud QES. According to the new legislative definitions f rom t he eIDAS Regulation, the signatory is no longer required to own a hardware cryptographic device to obtain a QES, but the secure signature creation device can be managed by the issuing certification authority, namely the trust service provider (TSP). The sole control of the user over her/his private keys stored and used in the cloud shall be assured through the remote signature protocol exposed by the TSP, compliant to corresponding ETSI standards.Thanks to their interoperable character, services exposed by the TSPs are suitable for integration in different document management platforms. However, the full potential of cloud QES has not been reached yet. In order to sustain the adoption of QES, this paper proposes a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to enable platforms like Google Docs and Google Sheets to directly apply QES on the documents created and used in the cloud. The implemented proof of concept is compliant with the two main signature creation standards: Cloud Signature Consortium (CSC) and OASIS Digital Signature Service (DSS).This paper presents the architecture and implementation details of the proposed solution and also the main challenges encountered during the development of the SaaS platform to offer remote QES services.This paper presents the architecture and implementation details of the proposed solution. Using a constant value of this important parameter leads to a compromise between the main performance criteria, i.e., low misadjustment versus fast tracking. In this paper, we propose a variable forgetting factor (VFF) solution applicable to the recently developed RLS algorithm based on the nearest Kronecker product decomposition (namely RLS-NKP). The RLS-NKP algorithm exploits an efficient decomposition of the impulse response, thus being suitable for the identification of long length systems (like echo paths). The resulting VFF-RLS-NKP algorithm inherits the performance features of its original counterpart, while also achieving improvements due to the VFF approach. Simulations performed in the context of echo cancellation support this behavior.","PeriodicalId":405841,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Communications (COMM)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127183907","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
