Several mechanisms for patient engagement such as videogames and so on are developed for therapy and mental simulation. In this paper, a Virtual Reality (VR) gaming system is developed integrating electromyography (EMG) signals and integrating motion capture. Yei-3 space sensors or Azure Kinect, Myo armband and Saitek’s rudder foot pedal provides the inputs to the motion capture system. The user input is measured in terms of bicep or muscle efforts. A HTC Vive VR headset is used that is synchronised with the sensors for the videogame sequence controls. The system is tested on 15 subjects and provided 96% accurate control results.","PeriodicalId":405344,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Information Technology and Digital World","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116213952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These huge set of data produced are coined as the big data. The big amount of data produced introduces complexity in analyzing and processing to extract the useful information’s from them, this leads to the arising of the big data analytics that remains helpful in extracting the useful information from the huge set of data available. The paper also presents the internet of things and the big data analytics for monitoring the patients in the rural areas to have an improved planning, decision making and treatment with a reduced time and cost.","PeriodicalId":405344,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Information Technology and Digital World","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122238791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The internet of things and the technologies associated with it are not only creating alterations in the internetwork alone but also with the things that are connected to it. As the internet of things includes the generation and the analysis of the data as the important process, it finds difficulties in administering and protecting the data that are flowing from different levels. This in turn causes difficulties in the secure transmission of the information from its source to the authorized destination and the authorized person at the right time. So the above reasons bring in the capability of the block chain into the IOT, to improve the security as well as implant the transparency. The paper put forward a block chain enabled IOT for the pharmaceutical sector to elude the issue of counterfeit in the medicines.","PeriodicalId":405344,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Information Technology and Digital World","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115705519","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
