Drawing on Tsvetan Todorov's research, it reveals some of the internal enemies of literary education, namely the dangerous reduction of literature in school to the instruments of its analysis. This technicist approach results in missing the real point of engaging with literature, and literary education self-destructs in the eyes of students. In addition to alienating students from reading, this conception of literature fails to address their basic needs, namely to better understand the world and learn to know themselves.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86696235","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, the results obtained from a large-scale survey conducted among Russian language teachers were analyzed, to which 238 people responded (36 from the city of Sofia and 202 from other cities and villages of the country). The analysis of the results shows: a tendency towards aging of Russian language teachers, a high concentration of language teaching in the city, the choice of the language mainly as a second foreign language. Based on these results, conclusions are drawn, some of which seem disturbing.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"70 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76273027","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
