Marcheva","doi":"10.53656/bel2022-6-3mp","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.53656/bel2022-6-3mp","url":null,"abstract":"The possibilities of symbols as means of implementing an interdisciplinary approach in teaching music and literature in primary education is the topic examined in this publication. This is a topic that is developed relatively rarely in pedagogical literature. In the theoretical aspects of this publication, the main parameters of the interdisciplinary approach, applicable to the education of students in 1st – 4th grades, which can be realized through literary and musical symbolism, are examined. Arguments supporting statements regarding the essence of symbols and the possibility of them functioning as denotation for one of the criteria for the manifestation and functioning of linguistic and musical intelligence, included in H. Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences, are brought forth. The focus is on the essence of the two types of symbols – literary and musical as means of forming and developing the respective types of intelligence. The publication also examines some practical and applied aspects, the main emphasis being fairy tales as a literary genre and program music, which are rich in symbolism. Specific approaches to pedagogical interaction are listed such as “building musical characterization of a literary symbol”, “making sense of a specific musical work with the help of literary symbols”, “using literary symbols to realize musical content”. {"title":"A Trace of ‘Serapionov Principle’ in Hoffmann’s Last Short Story – Des Vetters Eckfenster","authors":"Elitsa Dubarova","doi":"10.53656/bel2022-6-8ed","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.53656/bel2022-6-8ed","url":null,"abstract":"Hoffmann’s last short story –‘My Cousin's Corner Window’, leaves his researchers and readers stunned by a challenge, which can be defined as literarytheoretical in character, and imposes a speculation – is it conceivable that Hoffmann – the romantic, the creator of ones of the brightest fantastic and diabolical plots, can, at the end of his creative paths, to have betrayed his deeply rooted romantic essence and turn to realism. On the surface, the story unfolds as a mimetic narrative, but eventually turns out to be entirely influenced by the romantic aesthetic in general, as well as the author’s personal aesthetic principles. The books summarize the authors' experience in theoretical modeling and practical presentation in modern online formats of various oratorical approaches, as well as the creation of text types that require different communicative and oratorical competencies. In the teaching aid “Online Rhetoric Course” a special glossary has been prepared, which includes more than 100 terms, starting from metaphor and reaching terms from modern visual rhetoric. In the book “Teaching Rhetoric Online. Open resources” there are developed methodological guidelines for writing and delivering various types of speeches: from solemn speeches through business speeches and motivational speeches. The teaching aid also contains instructions for preparing and conducting debates and discussions, which are established dialogic rhetorical genres and formats useful for various specialists in various professional fields. The study aid has podcasts, one of which is with speeches voiced and delivered by an actor in Bulgarian, not only in English. The material has been summarized and analyzed and will be useful both for teachers and students, as well as for experts who work on the curricula of Bulgarian language and literature. T. A. Hoffmann. The purpose of the article is to propose a possible way of interpreting Hoffmann's work full of symbolism through the prism of alchemical art. Through the juxtaposition of the “Golden Pot” and alchemical symbolism, parallels are sought between the fusion of Anselmus and the Serpentine and the alchemical fusion of the White Queen and the Red King that creates the Philosopher's Stone. The observations are directed, on the one hand, to the overall structure of the novella, as a kind of alchemical opus. But often this abundance of information does not lead to systematic knowledge, which indicates that children must learn to absorb it properly. The article examines the possibilities of applying project-based learning in literature lessons in the primary educational stage. This innovative method offers a new type of pedagogical interaction regarding the learning content of the subject, related to achieving the necessary basic level of native language communication in the 1st – 4th grade stage.
