The article examines the possibilities and justifies the importance of the use of the case-study methodology in teaching of the Bulgarian language. The purpose of the article is to describe the essence of this approach as one of the means of integrating linguistic skills for learning foreign languages, and also to explore and expand the possibilities of using the case-study method in teaching of the Bulgarian language. It is concluded that the interactive case-study method meets the needs of the modern socio-cultural and educational context - language training with a clearly defined communicative orientation increases educational motivation and solves a number of important problems for the development of both linguistic and professional competences.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"26 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75215783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

He places the “wordˮ at the centre of the idyllic-pastoral, socially reactive and realistic-fatalistic works of art he creates. Therefore, the study of lexical layering as constructs for building full-blooded images and forms is key to reading the writer's idiolect. The article focuses on the lexicon at the genealogical macrolevel and micro level. The following are marked: dialectisms, foreign words and colloquial vocabulary; hapaxes, semantic transponents and author's neologisms are analyzed. The results of the research are: placing the literary- colloquial Bulgarian language as a foundation, in which archaisms, verbs, adjectives and substantives from the Western Bulgarian area are balanced and assimilated; they are intertwined with rare words and occasionalisms; semantic modification of existing concepts; abstracting from foreign words. The word-formation models that Iliya Volen prefers for neolexis are: monoroot words and rarely composites, (poly)prefiguration, suffixation, deverbatives – original participles, occasional methods – metaphorization, substitution, etc.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87870288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present analysis is of a part of chapter VII which is included in IXth class compulsory study of the school subject Literature. Some observations of the perfect style of the author are made by analyzing the illusions of Emma Bovary. Artistic details and mini-dialogues that prove Flaubert's ingeniously composed language and grace of phrase are interpreted. The new narrative technique, the detailed accuracy, the ringing practiced and thought-out speech and the remarkable skill of the utterance create his image as a presentable and modern writer.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"747 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76851526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This text presents a part of a complex study involving several experiments. Here, the results of the associative experiment are analyzed, the aim of which is to establish the associative field and the semantic structure of three pairs of composites with covid- and corona- in Bulgarian and Polish: kovidturism and koronaturystyka, kovidkupon and koronaparty, koronapanika and koronapanika, by outlining the attitudes towards the concepts they denote. The results of the associative experiment show that the studied words are fixed in the linguistic consciousness of the Bulgarian and Polish respondents with a certain variability of the semantic structure due to the high dispersion of the reactions. The associative cores of the same associations given by Bulgarian and Polish respondents show differences, with the concentration of responses in the Polish associative core being higher. This proves a more firmly established meaning of compositums in the Polish linguistic consciousness. It is obvious that social experience and practices influence the formation of the image of the concepts and the construction of the meaning of the composites with the first component covid- and corona- in both languages, and these processes are not yet complete.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74485085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two of the central literaryhistorical “narratives” of the memoir are analytically examined – the Yambol literary modernism and the role of Geo Milev in the development of Bulgarian avant-garde art. The discrepancies between the visions of literary events proposed in the memoir text and the canonical narrative of academic literary history are highlighted. Kiril Krastev's specific strategy for literary memory offers its readers a different reading of the literary events during the period between the two world wars, at a time when literary history is subordinated to the ideologies of the socialist regime for decades.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84919946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, the territory of the scientific object is expanded – the analysis covers a large number of works from nearly 70 travelogues left by Vazov. The study has three main points: 1) the characteristics of the genre “travelogue”; 2) the relationship between fictional – credible; 3) the narrator in the structure of the travelogue. The first problem is commented from the position of the claim that travel writing is a hybrid, even borderline genre. It is this role – to be on the border between literary and non-literary types of language – that also causes the mixing of the veridical and the conventional. By this we mean to say that the author's imagination is displaced, suppressed by the desire to tell factual stories.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86161766","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In shaping the concept, both Ernst Jentsch in “On the Psychology of the Uncanny” (1906) and Sigmund Freud in “The Uncanny” (1919) carefully read Hoffmann’s fantastic stories of automata. While Freud develops his theory of the uncanny (concerning the automatism of unconscious repetition) by reading “The Sandman”, Jentsch dwells on “Automata” in his approach on intellectual uncertainty. In this paper I also discuss anthropomorphic machines and the idea of uncanny valley in robotics, concluding that the notion of uncanny always involves negative anagnorisis, or misrecognition between inside/outside; human/automaton; animate/inanimate.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"39 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74650416","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Special attention is paid to double writing (using two languages – Bulgarian and English), which is manifested in the landscape in its two basic modes – “mirror imaging”, where the two languages are clearly visible and translanguaged (mixed) writing, where features of the two languages are blurred. These two modes of writing are related to the two main functions that signs in the landscape perform – informative and symbolic.","PeriodicalId":40503,"journal":{"name":"Bulgarski Ezik i Literatura-Bulgarian Language and Literature","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85285258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
