The study evaluates seroprevalence of SARS CoV-2 IgG antibody among HCW during peak pandemic period and plans a screening strategy for early identification and isolation of HCW. This is the prospective cross sectional study of HCW where High risk and low risk HCW were tested for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies using Architect automated analyser. Out of 264 HCW, 36 (13.6%) HCW were positive for SARS CoV-2 IgG antibodies. Seroprevalence was 14.7% in low risk group while 13.2 % among high risk group. Serosurvey could detect antibody in 47.3% HCW which were either negative by COVID-19 RTPCR or were never tested owing to absence of clinical symptoms.SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody were absent in 39% previously COVID-19 positive HCW. Equal seroprevalence in both the groups of HCW during peak of pandemic is suggestive of community transmission in India and robust infection control policy of hospital. Also, we conclude that there is need of multiprong approach with serial diagnostic screening of COVID infection in health care worker which should include both RTPCR and serological test.","PeriodicalId":404560,"journal":{"name":"Southeast Asian Journal of Health Professional","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123961395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal of this study was to identify the major aspects of a patient's experience with a healthcare provider that have the most influence on the degree to which they are satisfied with the services that they have received. A Study to determine what factors contribute to patient happiness with focusing on quality of Healthcare, Medical services in Uttar Pradesh India. We conducted a quantitative analysis with the help of a self-administered questionnaire using SPSS V26. A sample set of 200 respondents were considered. Study was conducted on patient satisfaction and several factors that have been consistently associated with higher levels of patient satisfaction, including effective communication, empathy, responsiveness, and perceived quality of care. We also found that patient “demographic characteristics such as age, gender, and socio-economic status can influence patient satisfaction.” Based on our findings, we recommend that healthcare providers focus on improving communication skills, promoting empathy and responsiveness, and providing high-quality care to enhance patient satisfaction. Additionally, healthcare organizations should consider tailoring their services to meet the unique needs and preferences of different patient populations. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the factors that contribute to patient satisfaction and can inform efforts to improve healthcare quality and patient outcomes.","PeriodicalId":404560,"journal":{"name":"Southeast Asian Journal of Health Professional","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121956998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We carried out the present study evaluating the influence of an intervention targeting this population in improving their QoL. A community-based randomized clinical trial was undertaken targeting the elderly population residing in an urban slum area after evaluating the baseline QoL using pre-validated questionnaire from World Health Organization (WHO QOL-BREF). Intervention involving mainly the interaction with elderly population in facilitating their interaction with the health care providers, and social clubs was carried out in the intervention group. Control group of participants was provided the usual standard of care without any active intervention.: Eight-hundred and fifty-two were included (study group: 426 and control group: 426) with a large-majority in the age range of 60-69 years. Most of the participants were educated, housewives, economically dependent on their family members, with a monthly income ranging between 5001 and 10000 rupees. The demographic characteristics were comparable between the intervention and control groups except for the concomitant diseases that were significantly more in the intervention group. Baseline mean WHO QOL-BREF scores were 40.04 and 45.2 in the intervention and control groups, respectively. Post-intervention, the QoL scores were significantly (p < 0.05) greater in the intervention group. Those between 60 and 69 years, male gender, those independant on their family members, and healthy individuals had significantly greater QoL scores post-intervention.We observed that our intervention had significant beneficial effects in improving the QoL among the elderly individuals residing in an urban slum area. We have also identified certain sub-groups of individuals with a greater response. There is an urgent need for evaluating the utility of our intervention using a randomized study.","PeriodicalId":404560,"journal":{"name":"Southeast Asian Journal of Health Professional","volume":"150 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123565532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
