There is much other fitness equipment which gives linear oscillatory motion can be directly utilized to produce power with the help of permanent magnet linear generator. The permanent magnet linear generators have advantages that it doesn't require any linear motion to rotary conversion; the linear generator is simple in construction and economical. This paper will investigate the feasibility of using a permanent magnet linear generator to harvest energy from new fitness equipment called BELLY REDUCER. A tubular type permanent magnet linear generator has designed to produce current in stator winding. The human kinetic energy transferred in the machine during exercise will be utilized to reciprocate the slider of the permanent magnet linear generator to induce electromotive force in the stator winding. The output from the permanent magnet linear generator will be variable so bridge rectifier circuit has to be connected to get the constant output. The output power is stored in the battery banks for later use. The conventional single stator linear generator gives low power output, where as the stator used here is cascaded which will give high power output. Magnetic field analysis used for finding force, power losses and induced voltage which are primary factors influencing the performance of the product.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127461637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, realtime scheduling cannot provide guarantees without the knowledge of worst case execution time (WCET). Modern dynamically scheduled microprocessors improve their average case performance by incorporating complex features such as pipelines, caches, branch prediction, out-of-order and speculative execution. However, these features make WCET analysis difficult and complicated. Furthermore, worst case execution time itself is compromised for better average case execution times. In this paper, we propose Transport Triggered Architectures (TTA) as time-predictable hardware architectures for real-time systems. TTAs consist of Function Units (FU), Register Files (RF) and the main memory connected using an interconnection network. The compiler is responsible to schedule instructions containing data transports between FUs and/or RFs. In TTA, static scheduling makes predicting WCET easier. Exposed datapath with static control at data transport level and wide range of choice of FUs impart performance comparable to a dynamically scheduled microprocessor. Thus making it ideal for use in applications with timing constraints. Experimental results are provided to show competitive performance and timing predictability provided by TTA.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126348951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Routing information to nodes without a fixed infrastructure and with dynamically changing infrastructure is one of the greatest challenges. Multicasting is a more frequent requirement for such defense operations, which adds on to the level of difficulty while routing. In order to overcome this challenge, a couple of protocols exist in the literature providing various solutions to delivering data to multiple destinations at mobility. However, these strategies are either of greater complexity or the cost is high. In this paper, we propose Familiar Route Retrieval for Multicasting (FRRM) in MANETs to use the route familiarity of nodes efficiently to construct routes to destinations. The performance of this algorithm is analyzed using the simulations in the network simulator.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125754641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It deals with the detection of discontinuities in the gray level values which helps the medical practisioners to extract the edges of an images to detect the minute fractures of an X-ray bone image. Edge feature extraction of X-ray images using Multiresolution Analyis (MRA) based on biorthogonal wavelet is more preferable when compared with orthogonal wavelets because of more flexibility and less computation time. The orthogonal wavelet transforms like Haar, daubechies, coiflet, symlets can be used as edge detector, but a lot of false edge information will be extracted. Therefore biorthogonal wavelet transforms like bior1.3, bior2.4, bior3.9, bior5.5, bior6.8 are applied to detect the edges and are compared. Among all the methods, bior1.3 performs well in detecting the edges with better quality. The various performance metrics like Ratio of Edge pixels to size of image (REPS), peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and computation time are compared for various wavelets.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"1933 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130151332","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The well known reason for this issue is violation of traffic rules i.e., driving the vehicle without proper license. The departments are in breach and unable to verify the identity of every driver on road. Hence defiance of traffic rules has become more common. In this paper a novel approach which overcomes the drawbacks of existing verification methodologies is proposed. The method uses Iris Scanning technology of biometrics which is evident to be a more reliable one. Using a helmet (for two wheelers) and a glass (for four wheelers), the iris pattern of the driver is continuously scanned and processed by a specially designed system. A smart driving license which is embedded with the iris pattern of the driver is already inserted in the provided system. The novelty of the proposed design is that the engine of the vehicle opens only when the iris pattern of the driver matches with the pattern in the license. When a mismatch occurs the engine shuts down itself. As the pattern is continuously scanned, a license cannot be used by another personality. In future, driving the vehicle without license can be completely eradicated using the proposed design.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134333897","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Magnetic material (neodymium) is eco-friendly resources, used for the construction of permanent magnet. These permanent magnets have high energy density within them; this plays a vital role for this engine. In general the permanent magnets are combined with other conventional electrical devices to perform various tasks in industries. The highlight of this project is that the magnetic force of neodymium magnet is converted to mechanical energy by using suitable mechanisms such as a slider crank, electromagnet, a digital controller, sensors and coreless generator. The magnetic engine works similar to that of a two stroke engine, it also has a power and absorption stroke, the variation of stroke time generates knocking and oscillation in the machine, it is controlled by the electromagnet powered from the crank of the machine. Now, magnetic engine gives birth to a sustained energy converted from magnetic energy which can be used in day to day life. Magnetic engine provides a sustained energy approximately for forty days without any external input. This kind of alternative source of energy can given for irrigation and domestic purpose.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128842807","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
