Nowadays, main business models in FinTech are third-party payment, peer-to-peer (P2P) lending, and crowd-funding. P2P lending is the work of lending money to individuals or small and medium-sized enterprises through online services that match lenders and borrowers directly within websites. The matching considers risks and requirements of both lenders and borrowers, offers lenders with attractive return rates and credit worthy borrowers, and provides the service more cheaply than traditional financial institutions with lower overhead and threshold. Hence, P2P lending is the key and an important trend of Fintech. However, without financial institutions, P2P lending will cause risk management problems including credit risk, business risk, and market risk. Unfortunately, no adequate regulation are provided to protect the unsecure personal loan due to the rapid progress and beyond the laws. Still, P2P lending platforms enable borrowers to propose expected interest rates and lenders to reduce transaction risks, and greatly improve matching efficiency. Therefore, this study mines the association rules from the famous P2P lending website Zopa by analyzing basic member data and past transactions. The discovered associations and distributions can further be used in suggesting the optimal decisions for the borrowers so that the matching will be more effective. In this paper, the borrowers' data in the P2P platform is targeted, factors including the total number of payments, interest collected, terms, lending rate, latest status, and postcode are extracted to assist matching the suitable borrowers so that both parties may have higher transaction satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":403248,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Industrial and Business Engineering","volume":"238 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113996675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Multi-source of variability makes it challenging to determine the optimal appointment schedules. It is assumed that the probability that a patient behaves not show up is nondecreasing with respect to the system's backlog. An optimal schedule of appointment under queuing system with state dependent no-show rate is considered. Furthermore, we compare the impact of this kind of no-show behavior on the optimal schedule. We conclude that although the expected waiting time for each patient under state dependent no-show scenario is not much higher than the scenario when all patients show up, the state dependent no-show behavior will significant increases the overall cost.","PeriodicalId":403248,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Industrial and Business Engineering","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132789718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, none of the research studies to date has designed an ergonomic car seat device for supporting the passenger to ingress or egress the vehicle, as well as in sitting and standing. In this present work, ergonomic concepts were applied to design an ergonomic car seat with gestural recognition. Moreover, 22 healthy subjects volunteered to test the effects of stand-up assistant function in the designed ergonomic car seat. The result showed that the potential of Tibialis Anterior, Gastrocnemius, Trapezius, and Rectus Abdominis muscles in stand-up assistant function reduced. However, the potential of the Erector Spinae and Tensor Fasciae Latae muscles increased. The root mean square of center of pressure in both anterior-posterior and medio-lateral directions using assistant function was smaller than in normal stand-up sequences.","PeriodicalId":403248,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Industrial and Business Engineering","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124841773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In such a fast-growing environment, some studies indicated that lack of trust will bring a great damage to O2O business. Besides, some published works pointed out those negative comments in social communities will decrease the consumer's trust to O2O companies and platforms. So, it is necessary for enterprises to understand the important factors that affect consumers' sentiment of textual reviews. Therefore, this study aims to build prediction models by using Support Vector Machines Recursive Feature Elimination (SVM-RFE) and Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO), respectively. We do not only attempt to build sentiment classification models, but also to find the important factors that affect the sentiments of comments. The findings can be references for O2O market enterprises to carefully answer customers' comments to improve customers' trust and service quality.","PeriodicalId":403248,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Industrial and Business Engineering","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115189441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
