In order to better deal with these low frequency oscillations, this study has considered the vehicle-grid cascade system. The numerical study of the single-machine infinite bus (SMIB) system has evaluated the influence of electric traction vehicle (ETV) by establishing overall small signal model of the grid connected vehicle. The performance of the system is compared for ETV-connected SMIB and ETV-connected SMIB equipped with linear quadratic regulator (LQR) controller. It is observed that modified SMIB power system with LQR-based control is superior to others in improving system responses with significantly reduced settling time, rise time, and peak overshoot.","PeriodicalId":403083,"journal":{"name":"2022 Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress: Innovative Electricals and Electronics (RI2C)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128863396","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is important to detect defective photovoltaic modules as soon as possible to prevent further degradation and loss of power output. Aerial thermographic inspections are a non-invasive method of detecting defective photovoltaic modules. This method uses thermal imaging to detect differences in the temperature of photovoltaic modules. By detecting defective photovoltaic modules early, the owner can save money on replacement costs and loss of power output.","PeriodicalId":403083,"journal":{"name":"2022 Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress: Innovative Electricals and Electronics (RI2C)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114200526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Connected agricultural machines with telematics are already a common appearance in developed markets such as Europe and North America. However, Asia offers still largely untapped potential in the agricultural sector. Enabling telematics for complex agricultural machines such as combine harvesters offers considerable benefits but also comes with a multitude of interconnected components and interdisciplinary technologies. Unknown challenges make it difficult to assess the cost, development effort and process planning for the expansion which creates a significant market entry barrier for industrial companies. This paper provides a holistic view of technical challenges categorized into effects from the different application environment, the suitability of the connectivity hardware and the legal boundaries related to the architectural system design. Finally, all necessary analysis steps and interconnections are visualized in a generic workflow to significantly improve the decision making process.","PeriodicalId":403083,"journal":{"name":"2022 Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress: Innovative Electricals and Electronics (RI2C)","volume":"175 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129503493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accordingly, the evaluation process must be improved to match the teaching methods. In the current study, a novel storytelling-based teaching and evaluation method is introduced. The method was applied to undergraduate and graduate students to examine their gained knowledge during a one-year course. During the examination, the learners investigate correlations between the course contents and the different contents provided by the teacher and try to support their correlations scientifically. Besides, a friendly relationship with the student considering their emotional, psychological, and scientific dimensions, will be established to increase the learning efficiency through this method. Bloom's taxonomy of educational objectives and affective domains of the bloom's taxonomy will be applied to the learners' responses to score their performance and investigate their scientific learning states as well as their emotional and psychological conditions. A case study of evaluation of a one-year course about microbial fuel cell as one of the renewable energy generation systems was presented in this study. The four-year analysis and the feedback received for this method indicated that its implementation results in deeper learning of the course contents. Therefore, the examination phase also acts as a part of the teaching procedure. The proposed method could be applied to other courses.","PeriodicalId":403083,"journal":{"name":"2022 Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress: Innovative Electricals and Electronics (RI2C)","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132232914","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the UI designer must transform the user’s requirements into system story, procedures, and functions which will be fitted to the user’s needs. A good GUI design must be easy to see by the user e.g., “left-to-right” and “top-to-bottom” directions and the omitted usage of scroll bar for exploring the hiding part of a GUI. There are many tools used to collect the feedback and evaluate the best GUI design such as the questionnaire, the interview, the A/B testing, and the multivariate testing. In this paper, we propose the user testing method for the designing of Thai traditional weaving dashboard originated by the Royal Thai Silk Conservation Village Project, the Office of Sericulture Conservation and Standard Conformity Assessment, the Queen Sirikit Department of Sericulture, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. There are 5 variables used for the design evaluation: utility, functionality, ease of use, consistency, and satisfaction. The experimental results yield 3.927, 3.890, 4.027, 3.981, and 3.945, respectively.","PeriodicalId":403083,"journal":{"name":"2022 Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress: Innovative Electricals and Electronics (RI2C)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133920995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It then analyzes and synthesizes relevant research, examining the composition of remote laboratories. By creating a synthetic table and summarizing the results of the research, it was found that a remote laboratory consisted of 5 elements: 1. Remote access. 2. Server 3. Equipment 4. Monitoring and 5. Practice, thereby creating a learning experience. Students can access a Lab Management Platform with laboratory management tools which can support the interaction of learners and instructors. This is the result of integrating technical and teaching laboratories into learning systems in order to support remote learners. As a result of the synthesis of the laboratory management platform elements, there are 4 features: 1. Login System 2. Learning Management System 3. Booking System and 4. Interactive Communication. This study is a review of the research related to the means by which it is possible to create the correct tools and learning environment in order to develop higher education students in such a way as to prepare them for the new situations they will face in an ever-changing future in the digital economy.","PeriodicalId":403083,"journal":{"name":"2022 Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress: Innovative Electricals and Electronics (RI2C)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131559608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The blister package dataset is used to train a deep learning model built on the PyTorch framework’s ResNet 101 pre-trained model. Visual inspections and a quantitative localization benchmark demonstrate that the model approach correctly identifies the critical components of blister packs for medicine identification. A Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping (Grad-CAM) method is used to extract the feature map, and then the attention mechanism is utilized to extract the high-level attention maps, that emphasizes the part of the image that is significant to the target class, which can be considered as a visual representation. The experimental results indicated that the Grad-CAM achieved the better visualization and interpretation of ResNet 101 in blister package classification.","PeriodicalId":403083,"journal":{"name":"2022 Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress: Innovative Electricals and Electronics (RI2C)","volume":"291 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122264724","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A motorcycle characteristic that causes an accident is riding on the wrong side of the road. The key parameters explaining this characteristic are speed and lateral position. In this study, the motorcycle speed is measured by a digital indicator while the lateral position is measured using white color tape, which is placed perpendicular to the motorcycle direction. The collected data shows that the speeds are between 6.59 and 21.49 km/h, and the lateral positions are between 0.52 and 0.96 m from the outermost lanes of the road. Moreover, the statistical analysis indicated that it seems most people riding on the wrong side of the road tend to ride slowly and stay as close to the edge of the footpath as possible. The results of this study could be potentially used for designing evasive maneuvers for autonomous vehicles.","PeriodicalId":403083,"journal":{"name":"2022 Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress: Innovative Electricals and Electronics (RI2C)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130317835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The breast cancer detection system mainly consists of antipodal Vivaldi antenna, vector network analyzer, breast phantom, and rotation platform. The artificial breast phantom is fabricated by using gelatin-oil mixture technology as fat and cancerous cell. The difference for relative permittivity and conductivity between cancerous cell and normal tissue is around 4:1 and 6:1, respectively. The process of breast cancer detection and imaging are presented. The measured results show that the cancerous cell embedded inside the breast phantom can be detected.
