In the past, this technique has been used in various fields such as consumer-watch, making future predictions and analyzing and interpreting large datasets for deeply embedded rules and associations. The qualitative details of Singapore tourists’ foursquare check-ins, represented in a tabular form, is an example of a sequential database. Therefore, the Pattern-Growth method which uses Prefix-Span Algorithm is used in this study to obtain the Tourist Sequential Activity Patterns. Insights into tourist movement and activity patterns is deemed beneficial for the tourism sector in many ways, such as designing better travel packages for tourists, maximizing the tourist activity participation and meeting the tourist demands. This research proposes to adopt mobile social media data for effective capturing of tourist activity information in Singapore and utilizes advanced data mining techniques for extracting valuable insights into tourist behavior. The proposed methods and findings of the study have the potential to support tourism managers and policy makers in making better decisions in tourism destination management.","PeriodicalId":402234,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Orange Technologies (ICOT)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117145868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper uses a webcam to capture the image as a visual system input. The facial image is obtained through high performance face detect neural network. Facial landmarks are used to correct the face. Then, we use facial color RGB images for facial feature detection and identity recognition. By training a complete feature detection network, it is possible to detect valid and distinct facial features and train the classifier for those features. We can obtain identity confidence by using classifier for those feature. The experiment results show that the accuracy of identity recognition can be as high as 90.61%. In practical applications, the system can recognize identities up to thousands of people at the same time.","PeriodicalId":402234,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Orange Technologies (ICOT)","volume":"120-121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131696453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unclear regulations and standards do nothing to solve this problem as industries and consumers habitually make ecologically harmful choices due to certain circumstances. In order to ensure an ecologically sound cycle of green IT in manufacturing, business, marketing, retail, consumer, and e-waste management, a robust green vocabulary in IT needs to be developed. New green vocabulary will give voice to all segments of the society to vitalize the ecologically sound practices.","PeriodicalId":402234,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Orange Technologies (ICOT)","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130380606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also, it involves the understanding of relationships and interrelations between subjects within a system in any situation, to have better knowledge about how things unfold over time. Usually, a human being reacts to immediate circumstances, but it is more difficult to analyze how our past actions and decisions may influence a specific situation. This study introduces the reasons why system thinking is an essential tool to approach modern social systems and explain the foundations of Systems Thinking and how they collaborate to design strategies and solutions to induce changes in a complex and chaotic system. We suggest that this methodology is essential to minimize the negative impact of the information technologies on society.","PeriodicalId":402234,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Orange Technologies (ICOT)","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127191976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Proximately, empathy of engineers arises after perceiving and then understanding the context of their users. Empathy is necessary during prototyping, the user feedback generating process, as empathy affects communication quality between the two parties. On the ultimate base, the usability of empathic design shapes the better user experience. Many studies have indicated the importance of empathy, especially and mostly in the beginning of designing a product for divergent thinking. In our study, we argue that empathy should be practiced in every step of the creative design thinking process, the Double Diamond Model, for different purposes. As a result, we propose the Guideline L.O.V.E. for empathy for engineers to follow up while they are engaging in the design thinking process. Four letters, L.O.V.E., respectively stand for listening, observing, valuing and engaging. In every phase of the Double Diamond Model, the four keys can be examined and there is no conflict. We believe that only when engineers increase and practice empathy do their products empathically benefit their users.","PeriodicalId":402234,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Orange Technologies (ICOT)","volume":" 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120828511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Correspondingly, melanocyte detection and subsequent observation are principle procedures conducted by physicians. In this paper, we utilize methodology of contextual comparison based on intrinsic cell characteristics to detect epidermal melanocytes, which can provide consistent and accurate results for assisting the assessment of diagnosis. In addition, we propose the method of Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) via moving window statistical analysis, which evaluate the relationship between detected melanocytes and the characteristics of the intercellular distribution in the Third Harmonic Generation (THG) image. The experimental results show the inconsistent distribution of cells around melanocytes in different disease categories, while processing of an adequate number of in vivo virtual biopsy images provides quantitative and objective bio-information.","PeriodicalId":402234,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Orange Technologies (ICOT)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122340387","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
