Even the recent focus on devotional themes has largely failed to accommodate the mental process of meditation itself. The meditating mind prefers to move smoothly between prompts so that it can take full advantage of recollection — a mental process hampered by discursive analysis. Recollection retrieves stored memories and then links them in a continuous chain of meaning. The Campin workshop used embellishments — including placement, color and materials — to enhance the ductus of the Annunciate reading sacred scripture with clean hands and a pure heart. Such mnemonics are open-ended and multilayered within the framework of a specific devotional theme. En los términos propios de la filosofía monástica del XII, el movimiento amante se comprende como un ascenso que atraviesa diferentes peldaños, a cada uno de los cuales corresponde una particular primacía de una potencia espiritual. El movimiento depende también de su orientación, hacia Dios o hacia la perdición, aunque para ambas orientaciones la estructura de la violencia del amor sea idéntica. Lo interesante es que, junto al ascenso, el autor ofrece un momento conclusivo de descenso, entendido como colaboración con Dios o como autodisolución. In the light of the latest advances in Yersinia pestis paleogenetics, epidemiology, climatology, and the study of historical sources, a host of scientific questions were resolved. This first affected a number of well-established historical facts since the bombing by troops of the Golden Horde Khan of Janibik in 1346 of the besieged Italian colony in the Crimea of Kafa. Many of them, despite all the scientific advances that have been made to date, have received little critical consideration. At the same time, the biggest shortcomings of the study of the Black Death until recently were the lack of a unified theoretical point of view. The article therefore focused on the convergence of the existing concepts of the emergence and spread of the second plague pandemic in Eurasia in the middle Ages. The study identified in pandemic processes the role of different types of plague hotspots, climate change, anthropogenic factors, urban development in densely populated areas and the road network of the Eurasian space. The poly variate start and implementation of the pandemic waves «Black Death» was recognized. La temática ha sido tratada de forma aislada en algunas de sus facetas más destacadas, formando parte de estudios de carácter general o tangencial. Tras la recopilación de nuevos datos y su contraste con las aportaciones ofrecidas por la historiografía, se presenta una revisión actualizada de la cuestión que pretende comprobar los planteamientos concluidos, así como ordenar las referencias, dar explicación formal a los nuevos aspectos extraídos y completar así los escenarios de análisis. En consecuencia, se ha logrado abordar la enseñanza en dos líneas principales: por un lado, la escuela capitular de gramática y la formación básica de los capitulares, con una evolución marcada por la instauración de un Estudio general en la ciudad; y por otro, la educación musical orientada a los mozos de coro.
