The power generation through wind energy totally dependent on the flow of the wind due to uncertainty and randomness of wind flow, the generation of power is quite fluctuating in nature and large-scale wind farms may cause significant impact to the stability and power system safety. This paper presents a case study of Western Rajasthan which become high wind power penetration zone. Which includes the requirements of the reactive power mitigating device, the analysis of voltage, active and reactive power flow under condition of sudden increase of wind power and effect of reactive power compensating device Static Var Compensator if it is placed at major GSS of Western Rajasthan. To analyze the situation Mi-Power software is used. It is concluded that for Rajasthan power system the installation of suitable capacity SVC is must, preferably at the main wind bus.","PeriodicalId":400935,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Recent Advances and Innovations in Engineering (ICRAIE)","volume":"323 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127569362","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Common target localization and tracking techniques that are widely adopted in practice are either utilizing wide area surveillance using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sensors and providing crucial information to on-ground unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). The limitations of existing techniques are inaccurate target localization and tracking due to inaccessible target position. This paper considers the problem of cooperative target tracking with UAV subject to indirect measurement of target position using sensors on UAV. In this paper, it is demonstrated that better tracking results are obtained by using Kalman filtering, under noisy and unpredictable target observation scenario. The accuracy of target tracking depends on measurement of GPS sensor data from UAV & UGV. By performing several experiments tracking accuracy up to approx. 20m has been achieved.","PeriodicalId":400935,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Recent Advances and Innovations in Engineering (ICRAIE)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134330457","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper also justifies the necessity of joint optimal allocation of ES and RDG. All possible sixteen combinations of design variables of RDG and ES are analyzed for the joint optimal allocation. The paper proposes a probabilistic generation model for solar DG and wind DG. This generation model and IEEE-RTS based load model are integrated into an optimal power flow along with energy storage. The non-linear constrained optimization problem is solved by robust and high-performance metaheuristic, symbiotic organisms search (SOS) optimization. There the arctic sea ice variability was studied from 1990 to 2012 only. So in continuation the remaining years have been studied and the analysis of the satellite data from year 1980 to 2015 has been made. Along with this expected Sea Ice extent is being predicted by the trend analysis and is presented in this paper upto 2036. The analysis reveals that the Arctic Sea Ice extent is decreasing gradually and the rate of decrement has increased drastically in past few years which is matter of concern.","PeriodicalId":400935,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Recent Advances and Innovations in Engineering (ICRAIE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126459071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
