Although several papers on ERPs have been published in recent decades, only some studies have focused on user satisfaction during post-implementation. Based on the theories of technological acceptance and task-technology fit, we examine how the interrelationship of individual attitudes and matching between task and ERP affects user satisfaction in a public university that adopted an SAP-ERP. We distributed a questionnaire and analyzed the responses of 126 users using a partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM model). Results show that perceived utility and overall benefits significantly predict user satisfaction. Moreover, overall benefits are influenced by the perception of efficiency in the task, improvements in coordination, and strategic alignment. We work with two objective functions in the problem statement: active power losses and grid voltage index. While in the solution of the model, an elitist evolutionary algorithm of non-dominated ordering (NSGA-II) is used, which is implemented with the help of MATLAB, determining a set of feasible solutions. The proposed methodology is implemented in reconfiguring the test circuit, 33 nodes, 37 branches, and 4 distributed generators of the IEEE. Two case studies are analyzed, one without the presence of distributed generation and the other in the presence of four distributed generators; it is possible to reduce the power losses of the analyzed network and improve the voltage profile. This article compares Sigfox, LoRa, NB-IoT, and WiMAX technologies as possible solutions for last-mile communications. For this purpose, a network of hundreds of smart meters has been simulated, each transmitting different types of information. An important part of the tasks in preparing for Industry 4.0 and BIM is adjusting engineering education to the requirements of this vision. The objective of this research is to present a proposal for the engineering educator, which consists of how engineering education should be adjusted towards BIM and industry 4.0 from the laboratory, relating Kolb’s experiential learning theory, teaching methodologies-learning, and the CDIO (Conceive - Design - Implement - Operate) initiative, resulting in an improvement in the learning environment and in the teaching-learning process that maximizes the competencies of students when learning through their own experience. Based on the practical cases presented, the participant analyzes the information and interprets it to establish the representation of the behavior of a continuous and discrete production system using the Flexsim and Vensim simulation programs. The result of the didactic evaluation of the workshop was obtained from the evaluation of the 47 participants through a descriptive analysis with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The measurement instrument for data collection and subsequent analysis consisted of three control questionnaires throughout the sessions developed in the workshop. There are few studies comparing the wear resistance of this type of steel within the same hardness category. Considering the above, the objective of this work was to study the behavior of two 400HB commercial sheets of steel against impact-abrasive wear to determine other relevant aspects to consider in the abrasion resistance of this type of alloy. The chemical composition was determined using optical emission spectrometry, while their microstructure was studied using X-ray diffraction, light microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. The impact-abrasive wear resistance of both materials was evaluated using equipment to determine the Bond abrasion index. Finally, hardness measurements and microhardness profiles were made on the samples tested. The results showed that both alloys could be categorized as low-carbon and low-alloyed steels quenched and tempered.
