Although the exact cause of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is unknown, so far there is no medical cure for ASD. Therefore, one of the efforts to respond to this issue is to focus on increasing the interaction of autistic children through game media. The current autistic game design has not been able to increase the interaction of autistic children, but only helps autistic children to interact. This study proposes a framework for designing interactive games for autistic children based on eye tracking and developing a new strategy to determine the increase in the interaction of autistic children from one level to another. The results of the initial investigation showed that there was an increase in the interaction of autistic children before and after using TFA games. The initial testing was using parameters such as viewing objects, eyes looking down, forward focus, and dilated pupils. Based on the results of the initial trial, the TFA Games was proven to be able to increase the level of interaction of autistic children.","PeriodicalId":399316,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Computer System, Information Technology, and Electrical Engineering (COSITE)","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124233871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The manual analysis process tends to be less effective and efficient both in time and diagnostic accuracy. This study proposes an automatic classification system for generalized macular retinal pathology based on OCT retinal images using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with EfficientNet architecture. In the preprocessing stage, three types of signal processing are analyzed on the image, namely Gaussian Filter, Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE), and Gabor Filter. This paper also evaluates two different optimizers, namely Adaptive Moment (Adam) and Stochastic Gradient Decent (SGD). The EfficientNet model works using a combined scaling method to balance all network dimensions. The experimental results show that the proposed model's preprocessing CLAHE and Adam's optimization function can classify four standard retinal macular pathology classes. The four classes include Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Choroidal Neovascularization (CNV), and Diabetic Macular Edema (DME), with an accuracy of 90.60. %, and a loss of 0.27.","PeriodicalId":399316,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Computer System, Information Technology, and Electrical Engineering (COSITE)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125326127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In segmentation, the CNN architectures of U-Net and SegNet have shown a good performance; thus, we implemented these networks to take the region of interest (ROI) of the breast thermal images from database for mastology research (DMR). We fine-tuned the networks to find the optimal hyperparameter that can result in the best learning performance. The networks were trained using the stochastic gradient descent optimization algorithm, and weights were updated using the error backpropagation of the algorithm. To minimize the error, the loss function is applied to evaluate a candidate solution of the weights. Thus, we conducted a preliminary study on finding the optimal loss function for breast thermal image segmentation. We applied loss functions of cross-entropy, dice, and focal and figured out the one that provides the highest segmentation accuracy. Then, to evaluate the segmentation result, we calculated the pixel accuracy rate and the dice coefficient to obtain the overlapping index measuring the overlay area between ground truth and predicted output. The result shows that the SegNet model with cross-entropy loss function can take the ROI of breast thermal images at the highest pixel accuracy and optimum dice coefficient of 0.8845 and 0.7928, respectively.","PeriodicalId":399316,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Computer System, Information Technology, and Electrical Engineering (COSITE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116716429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using a laboratory robot, a teacher can discuss robot parts in more detail, both in electronics, mechanics, controllers, intelligence, and the principles of kinematic movement and robot dynamics. Unfortunately, a laboratory robot has a high price, a complex system, parts that are difficult to separate and software with a limited programming language. Many universities have to wait a long time to buy a laboratory robot. Even after buying it, it still gets complexity and language problems that are difficult to teach students. Therefore, there are several studies in the form of solving these problems. This study aims to create a simulator of a mobile robot. The GUI of the mobile robot, especially goal-seeking behavior, is designed. The robot maneuver uses differential drive wheeled mobile robot principles. The simulation tool uses the MATLAB programming language. Based on several simulation processes, it can be stated that the mobile robot simulation tools can work well. Some performance of control strategies can be analyzed using figures or numerical data resulted.","PeriodicalId":399316,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Computer System, Information Technology, and Electrical Engineering (COSITE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131295646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Generally, the output voltage of a photovoltaic remains around its nominal for the entire time of operation, either by mean of a controller or connected in parallel to another voltage source. The incremental conductance is implemented using the boost converter through direct control method to control its duty cycle. The ability and performance of the incremental conductance to react and recover from disturbances is predetermined from analyzing the circuit and validated from an experiment. The experiment is conducted indoor to isolate other factors than irradiance to affect the solar panel performance and to satisfy with the assumption made in circuit analysis. An artificial light source is used to create disturbances through changes in irradiance. The results show that the predictions and the experimental results are in agreement. The contributions of this study are made in several aspects, including analysis of the algorithm in this particular case, mathematical modelling and experimental setup.","PeriodicalId":399316,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Computer System, Information Technology, and Electrical Engineering (COSITE)","volume":"1 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114051497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Developing a spontaneous gaze-based application faces many challenges, one of them is detecting events of eye movements. Most events detection methods are based on velocity or dispersion threshold. Unfortunately, these approaches depend on manual setting of threshold parameters. Despite previous attempts to review various techniques used in spontaneous gaze-based interaction, there is no survey paper that takes into account various machine learning techniques used for events detection. Here we present a brief overview of spontaneous gaze-based interactive applications and some machine learning approaches used for eye movement events detection. First, we explored major development of spontaneous gaze-based interaction by reviewing some examples of its applications. Next, we presented some state-of-the-art of threshold-based and machine learning-based events detection techniques. Finally, we discussed future research on spontaneous gaze-based interaction. Owing to the rising penetration of distributed generation (DG) sources in the distribution network, the protection has become more challenging. This paper describes the wavelet transform (WT) and decision tree (DT) based protection scheme for the distribution lines of hybrid microgrid under islanding mode of operation. The pre-processing and feature extraction of the instantaneous values of the signal obtained at the relaying bus is carried out using WT to obtain the significant features for training the DT based classifiers to perform fault detection, fault classification and faulty line identification. The proposed scheme has been tested for a wide range of fault and no-fault scenarios. Since the asperities are highly random, the quality and the quantity of the generated sound are generally related to roughness parameters such as Ra. In this study, a contact surface that has uniform periodic asperities was used to investigate the characteristic of the sound produced by asperity impact. The results show that the peak frequency of generated sound corresponds to the structural principle frequency of the asperity, i.e. the peak frequency of the sound corresponds to the peak frequencies of the normal and tangential acceleration of the structure. It is revealed that the peak frequency of generated sound in the rubbing is related to one of the principle frequencies of the asperity excited by the impact during sliding. These results suggest that control of the friction sound, particularly in low contact load, could be done by controlling the shape and the dimension of the asperities.","PeriodicalId":399316,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Computer System, Information Technology, and Electrical Engineering (COSITE)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132279339","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
