Press forming is a mass production method that is used to manufacture many machine components such as automobiles, industrial machinery, and various plants. However, there is a limit to the degree of shape freedom that can be applied, so measures against cracks, wrinkles, spring-back, etc., must be taken in the development process. It is well known that it is difficult to apply it economically in the case of small-lot production because of its high capital investment. The previous report shows that the folding line processing by press method / bending has a high degree of shape freedom, requires little capital investment, and can be expected to be applied for experiments and prototypes, and for commercial products from small to mass production. This paper shows that press folding line processing using V-shaped punch can be applied as deformation induction based on impact crushing experiments using square steel tubes/ aluminum thin wall cylinders and FEM results. To improve the impact energy absorption performance in the event of a collision, notches and uneven surfaces called beads have been formed in the crush boxes and front side members as automobile parts manufactured by press forming. The bead has the role of inducing deformation so as to improve the impact energy absorption performance during the axial crushing process. However, beads as deformation induction by the press forming, in addition to the difficulty of die design/manufacturing, needs to correct the bead design after impact experiments using prototypes. This paper shows press folding line processing as deformation induction is very convenient and effective to adjust impact energy absorption only by setting folding lines arrangement, not for bending along folding lines. First, blade structure of the helicopter was analyzed and the strain gauges were pasted in the load profile which were considered to be important positions to analysis the flight safe of helicopter. Second, Load calibration equations were obtained by ground calibration test, which would be used to convert the strain time curve to the load time curve. The helicopter flighted in different maneuvers, such as hovering, horizontal flight and climbing. At the same time, flight parameters were recorded, such as helicopter altitude, pitch angle, roll angle and yaw Angle. The flight parameters can be used to analysis the flight conditions. Then the blade flight load in different flight maneuvers was analyzed. The result was that the time-domain waveform was neat, good periodicity, strong regularity, no hybrid interference and jump point. It was illustrated that the blade load test flight data were accurate and reliable, which met the accuracy requirements of Engineering. The coal mass flow is modelled based on the mass balance model. The pulverized coal temperature is modelled by considering the coal and the pulverized coal as a lumped thermal mass. The multi variable non-linear model is simulated in Python environment and the parameters are obtained by using the moving horizon estimation. The archived data from an operating 660 MW coal fired boiler database are used to identify the parameters and to be compared with the model outputs. As the megawatt power output of thermal power generating plant is directly influenced by the coal being fired into the boiler, it is necessary to study the dynamic behaviour of the model as their poor dynamic performance causes a slow megawatt ramp up or ramp down rate and also causes shutdown of plant in some cases. In view of more and more penetration of renewable energy in the power grid, rapid and automatic flexible operation of coal fired boiler is necessary to accommodate injection of renewable power or withdrawal of renewable power as both remain connected directly or indirectly to the same power grid. Hence, fast response of the steam generating boiler is desired in a coal fired thermal power generating unit to generate the megawatt load as per the demand placed on the grid to maintain the power system frequency which calls for support of boiler steam flow, pressure and temperature to the steam turbine generator equipment. In order to achieve that, performance of combustion control of the boiler is one of the important factors which can be improved by modelling and implementing the predictive dynamic behaviour of coal pulverizer under varying coal feed rate in the boiler control system. The main focus of the work is to determine the pulverizer response under varying coal flow and coal characteristic condition with an objective of keeping minimum differential pressure across it based on a realistic mathematical model of pulverizer so that the boiler response can be improved under transient condition of megawatt load demand variation. Thermal convex deformation of guideway which accounts for about 22.7% of the total errors is one of the main factors affecting the machining accuracy of machine tool. A conservation of energy-based optimization method is proposed to balance the temperature field and reduce the thermal convex deformation. The main strategy of this method is to transfer the heat from high temperature regions to the lower temperature regions through a heat transfer system. The structure and contact area of the heat transfer system are determined according to the output and input heat ratio of the guideway. Firstly, according to the structure of helicopter landing gear, the stress analysis of landing gear was carried out, and the load position and force form of landing gear were determined during take-off and landing. Then, the measuring principle of the strain bridge was studied. According to the technical requirements, structural characteristics of the landing gear load test and the properties and principles of the strain bridge, the distribution and load measurement form of the strain bridge of the dangerous structure of the landing gear were designed. Then, studying load calibration test scheme of landing gear and carrying out load calibration test, the load calibration equation of landing gear was obtained, and the accuracy of load calibration equation was verified by comparing the expected load and actual load. Through the flight test, the landing gear load during the take-off and landing of the helicopter was obtained. Finally, the valid analysis of flight load data was carried out. This estimation relates to Digital Twin and Virtual Twin of Hybrid Twin approach for the autonomous driving of robotic lawn mowers. The robotic lawn mowers are becoming popular with the advent of efficient sensors and embedded systems and we are now developing a practical autonomous driving and its group control algorithm for large lawn grass areas. However, one of the important functions of robotic lawn mower, that is, the length of lawn grasses or such ground conditions as dirt, gravel, or concrete, etc., are not recognized precisely with the current robotic lawn mower. As a result, the motor for cutting lawn grasses is running with constant rotation speed from the beginning to the end of operation of robotic lawn mower. This leads to the waste of battery and gives a large drawback for the control of robotic lawn mower. In order to precisely control the rotation speed of motor and save the battery, the lawn grass lengths and ground conditions are estimated by using the effective sensor data. The application of random forest algorithm to the fusion of sensors on a commercial robotic lawn mower attained more than 90% correct estimation ratio in several experiments on actual lawn grass areas. In desalination industry; Multi Effect Desalination (MED) has an economic potential which proves its maturity among different desalination technologies. Large MED plants were built and operated with satisfactory performance in the last decade. They have been operated at low temperature compared to MSF and competitive operation efficiency. The Desalination Technology Research Institute (DTRI) which belongs to the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) of Saudi Arabia has tested MED pilot plant with hybrid acid and anti-scalant treatment to control the scale. The test was conducted under 95 °C compared to 65 TBT which the current commercial standard operational temperature and previously tested 85 TBT within DTRI-SWCC pilot plant. Increase in the TBT would allow to increase the number of effects which lead to more system efficiency (the performance ratio) and then reduce fuel consumption which reflected in water unit cost of the desalinated water. The results showed that the thermal performance including fouling factor and performance ratio was constant and have very minor degradation during the test. As modern industry requirements on the accuracy of complex surfaces increase, setting up the high-precision CAD modeling of unknown complex surface parts through reverse engineering becomes an interesting research topic. Here, we present a method that combines manual measurement and automatic measurement with a high-precision coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to measure unknown complex-surface to obtain CAD model. In this study, the unknown complex-surface was fixed on the CMM worktable, and cancelling the probe compensation function of PC-DMIS before measurement. Then, 490 measuring points were obtained by manually moving the probe with a diameter of 5mm to measure surface. The measured points generated the CAD model, the CAD model was offset a probe radius, and determined the rough contours of the surface. This CAD model was automatically measured in a CMM, and the function of the “automatic measurement model” was iterated to obtain a high-accuracy CAD model. Each measurement was arranged with 20×20 measuring points. The accuracy of the CAD model obtained by each iterative measurement would be improved, and finally a high-precision CAD model was obtained.
