NCSE refers to large non-convulsive clinical symptoms caused by persistent EEG attacks, usually defined as >30 minutes. It is now recommended that the standard duration be reduced from 30 minutes to 5 minutes. In addition, it is not clear how much does electroencephalogram (EEG) electrical activity affect clinical damage or persistent neuronal injury. The diagnosis and treatment of NCE are not simple, depending on many factors, including clinical background, etiology, the results of EEG and the clinical status of the patients. In this paper, the research progress in the diagnosis and treatment of NCSE at home and abroad in recent years is reviewed.","PeriodicalId":398696,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Psychiatry and Neurology","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114640678","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: The current study conducted a cluster randomized controlled trial, in which 92 students in the experimental group received mindfulness intervention, while 97 students in control group were randomized to no intervention. The Olweus Bully/Victim Questionnaire (OBVQ), the Self-control Scale (SCS) and the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) were used to measure the participants’ bullying behavior, self-control, and trait mindfulness before and after the test. Results: 1) Compared with the pretest scores of the experimental group (TM pretest 2.89 ± 0.30, SC pretest 3.05 ± 0.54, BB pretest 1.46 ± 0.45) and the pre-post-test scores of control group (TM pretest 2.96 ± 0.29 and post-test 2.98 ± 0.35, SC pretest 3.16 ± 0.55 and post-test 3.12 ± 0.63, BB pretest 1.42 ± 0.36 and post-test 1.43 ± 0.47), the post-test scores of TM (3.49 ± 0.64) and SC (3.55 ± 0.72) in the experimental group were significantly increased ( P < 0.01), and the scores of BB (1.09 ± 0.20) were significantly decreased ( P < 0.01). 2) TM was positively associated with SC (r = 0.13~0.63, P < 0.05). TM and SC were negatively associated with BB (r = − 0.38~ − 0.13, P < 0.05). 3) The overall effects of trait mindfulness on bullying and being-bullied were − 0.77 and − 0.96 respectively ( P < 0.01). The mediating effect of self-control accounted for 37.66% and 31.25% of the overall effect ( P < 0.01). Conclusion: School-based mindfulness training distinctly improves trait mindfulness and self-control, and reduces bullying behavior of middle school students. Moreover, self-control acts as a mediating role between trait mindfulness and bullying behavior.","PeriodicalId":398696,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Psychiatry and Neurology","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125951058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: According to the method of convenient sampling, 156 nurses in the psychiatric department of 5 secondary (including) and above hospitals in Nanning were investigated by a self-designed “questionnaire on the utilization of literature resources for psychiatric nurses”, and the demand for literature resources of nursing staff at all levels was further analyzed. For comparison, 146 psychiatrists were also surveyed. Results: The proportion of literature resources used by nurses with more than 10 years of experience (100%) was higher than that of nurses with 1~5 years of experience (22%), and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). Compared with psychiatrists, the proportion of nurses who frequently used literature resources was significantly lower than that of physicians (P < 0.01), and the proportion of nurses who did not use literature resources was significantly higher than that of physicians (P < 0.01). 90% of literature resources were obtained from paper books and periodicals, and 10% were obtained from electronic literature (P < 0.01). The purpose of nurses using literature resources to write papers accounted for 53%, accumulate knowledge accounted for 30%, and declare subjects accounted for 17%, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). Conclu-sion: The demand for literature resources used by senior nurses in the psychiatric department is significantly higher than that of junior nurses with 1~5 years of experience. The nursing staff’s cognition of literature resources is obviously lower than that of doctors. Nurses in the department of psychiatry obtain literature resources mainly through paper books and periodicals, and the main purpose of using literature resources is to write papers and accumulate knowledge.","PeriodicalId":398696,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Psychiatry and Neurology","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115081994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
