Ti nedostatci, prema nekim teorijskim pristupima, čine nestabilan temelj za usvajanje jezika. U najranijim početcima jezičnog razvoja navedeno se može odraziti već u rječničkom razvoju djece s ovim poremećajem. Moguća odstupanja u rječničkom razvoju istražuju se na razini tempa usvajanja riječi te rječničkog sastava. Istraživanja potvrđuju veliku raznolikost u jezičnim sposobnostima djece s poremećajem iz spektra autizma. Većina djece s ovim poremećajem kasni u proizvodnji prvih riječi te ih usvaja sporijim tempom. Zbog toga je veličina njihova rječnika često manja u odnosu na očekivanja prema kronološkoj dobi. Manji dio istraživanja upućuje na moguća odstupanja u rječničkom sastavu, odnosno razvojnim putanjama pojedinih vrsta riječi. Sastav rječnika djelomično se razlikuje u tipološki različitim jezicima, što upućuje na potrebu istraživanja rječničkog razvoja djece s poremećajem iz spektra autizma u različitim jezicima. U hrvatskom jeziku istraživanja rječničkog razvoja djece s ovim poremećajem za sada ne postoje. Temeljem pregleda istraživanja u ovom se radu izdvajaju ključne kliničke implikacije za logopedske intervencije koje uključuju poticanje jezičnog razvoja djece s poremećajem iz spektra autizma te metodološke implikacije za daljnja istraživanja rječničkog razvoja.","PeriodicalId":39824,"journal":{"name":"Hrvatska Revija Za Rehabilitacijska Istrazivanja","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47791217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cilj je ovog rada prikazati najčešće korištene bihevioralne metode i postupke za redukciju stereotipija kod djece s PSA-om te sažeti rezultate recentnih sistematskih preglednih studija u kojima je procijenjena njihova učinkovitost. Rezultati recentnih preglednih studija sugeriraju da u području tretmana motornih stereotipija najviše empirijske potpore imaju antecedentni postupci mijenjanja okoline te diferencijalno potkrepljenje alternativnog ponašanja (Akers i sur., 2020), a u području tretmana vokalnih stereotipija antecedentne metode auditorne stimulacije, kao i intervencije temeljene na posljedicama (Wang i sur., 2020). U radu se raspravlja o nedostacima dosad provedenih studija učinkovitosti te su ponuđene neke smjernice za planiranje budućih istraživanja (provedba funkcionalne analize prije implementacije tretmana, provjera integriteta provedenog tretmana, ispitivanje trajnosti postignutih učinaka, provjera učinaka tretmana na druga ponašanja, generalizacije učinaka na različite lokacije, situacije i u prisustvu različitih ljudi itd.). Nadalje, za sigurnije zaključke o dokaznoj utemeljenosti pojedinih tretmana, preporuka je planirati studije učinkovitosti koje uključuju provedbu randomiziranih kontroliranih pokusa. U kliničkoj praksi, potrebno je osigurati da se djeci s PSAom omogući pristup onim terapijskim postupcima koji su znanstveno utemeljeni, i to pravodobno te odgovarajućim intenzitetom.","PeriodicalId":39824,"journal":{"name":"Hrvatska Revija Za Rehabilitacijska Istrazivanja","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69358906","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this study is to compare the remote schooling experiences of parents of elementary school children with hearing and/or speech and language disorders and those of parents of typically developing children during the COVID-19 pandemic. Parental time involvement and predictors of general parenting self-efficacy were examined using two online surveys based on the same questionnaire. The first survey involved 267 parents of typically developing children, while the second involved 109 parents of children with hearing and/or speech and language disorders. Data were analysed using chi-square tests and hierarchical regression analysis. Our results show that, on working days and on weekends, parents of children with developmental disorders invested significantly more time in their child’s remote schooling than parents of typically developing children. Furthermore, higher general parenting self-efficacy was reported by parents who had more children, those whose children were more independent regarding remote schooling, those whose children did not suffer from developmental disorders, as well as those who experienced less stress due to their child’s remote schooling. Our study highlights the importance of adapting the remote schooling model based on the different needs and abilities of students, as well as the requirements of their families in order to prevent low parenting self-efficacy and improve students’ educational achievements.","PeriodicalId":39824,"journal":{"name":"Hrvatska Revija Za Rehabilitacijska Istrazivanja","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69358785","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a part of expressive arts-therapies, it includes precisely formulated goals, basic stages, and methodology that are described in this paper. In addition, an overview of recent scientific research on this topic is provided in order to gain insights on the most commonly used approaches, methodologies, and outcomes obtained, as well as the effectiveness of bibliotherapy. Based on our evaluation, we concluded that the use of bibliotherapy is an appropriate complementary approach in educational settings, for children with special needs, as well as for maintaining mental health. Considering the limitations of bibliotherapy, we emphasise the need for further research with the aim of improving practical models and assessment tools. Bibliotherapy can be a promising part of a multimodal educational and rehabilitation approach that recognises the power of language arts, which simultaneously supports both realistic and transcendental aspects of human existence.","PeriodicalId":39824,"journal":{"name":"Hrvatska Revija Za Rehabilitacijska Istrazivanja","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69358851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

U području psihologije virtualna se stvarnost pokazala kao uspješan tretman za različite vrste strahova i anksioznost. Nadalje istraživanja iz područja psihologije upućuju na veću učinkovitost terapije virtualnom stvarnošću u odnosu na klasične tretmane. S obzirom na to da su anksioznost i strah od govornih situacija izražene komponente mucanja, počela se ispitivati i primjena virtualne stvarnosti u terapiji mucanja. Ovaj rad donosi pregled nekoliko dosadašnjih istraživanja iz ovog područja. Prva su istraživanja bila usmjerena na povezivanje virtualnih i stvarnih uvjeta, a dobivene statistički značajne pozitivne korelacije između njih upućuju na to da virtualna stvarnost može biti korisna za procjenu i terapiju mucanja. Zaključak ostalih dosadašnjih istraživanja jest da virtualna stvarnost utječe na smanjenje anksioznosti i poboljšanje tečnosti govora. U Hrvatskoj do sada nije bilo istraživanja koja povezuju virtualnu stvarnost i mucanje.","PeriodicalId":39824,"journal":{"name":"Hrvatska Revija Za Rehabilitacijska Istrazivanja","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69358860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We show that deaf and hearing bimodal bilinguals may display patterns of bilingualism that are similar to unimodal bilinguals in some ways, such as the use of both languages in a single situation or even a single utterance. Nevertheless, there are also differences between bimodal and unimodal bilinguals, and differences among different subgroups of bimodal bilinguals, given large variation in relative access to the dominant and minority language(s) in their environment and their differential experiences in schooling and interactions with potential interlocutors. Moreover, we review studies discussing potential advantages of the sign modality and advantages of bilingualism in this population. We hope to highlight the importance of considering children's overall language experience, including the age(s) at which they are exposed to each of their languages, the richness of their experiences with each of the languages, and the ways that the language-learning experience may contribute to the child's linguistic and cognitive development.</p>","PeriodicalId":39824,"journal":{"name":"Hrvatska Revija Za Rehabilitacijska Istrazivanja","volume":"58 Spec","pages":"83-97"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10311567/pdf/nihms-1907092.pdf","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"9747901","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although many of these language patterns are complex and difficult for adult speakers/signers to recognize, infants are able to find and learn them from the youngest age, without explicit instruction. However, this impressive feat is dependent on children's early access to ample and well-formed input that displays the regular patterns of natural language. Such input is far from guaranteed for the great majority of deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children, leading to well-documented difficulties and delays in linguistic development. Efforts to remedy this situation have focused disproportionately on amplifying DHH children's hearing levels, often through cochlear implants, as young as possible to facilitate early access to spoken language. Given the time required for cochlear implantation, its lack of guaranteed success, and the critical importance of exposing infants to quality language input as early as possible, a bimodal bilingual approach can optimize DHH infants' chances for on-time language development by providing them with both spoken and signed language input from the start. This paper addresses the common claim that signing with DHH children renders the task of learning spoken language more difficult, leading to delays and inferior language development, compared to DHH children in oral-only environments. That viewpoint has most recently been articulated by Geers et al. (2017a), which I will discuss as a representative of the many studies promoting an oral-only approach. Contrary to their claims that signing degrades the language input available to DHH children, recent research has demonstrated that the formidable pattern-finding skills of newborn infants extends to linguistic cues in both the spoken and signed modalities, and that the additional challenge of simultaneously acquiring two languages is offset by important \"bilingual advantages.\" Of course, securing early access to high quality signed input for DHH children from hearing families requires considerable effort, especially since most hearing parents are still novice signers. This paper closes with some suggestions for how to address this challenge through partnerships between linguistics researchers and early intervention programs to support family-centered bimodal bilingual development for DHH children.</p>","PeriodicalId":39824,"journal":{"name":"Hrvatska Revija Za Rehabilitacijska Istrazivanja","volume":"58 Spec","pages":"6-26"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10311540/pdf/nihms-1907099.pdf","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"10104563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Modern concepts of\u0000stroke rehabilitation recommend a task-specific repetitive approach, such as using treadmill training. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of using virtual reality-based treadmill training to improve balance and gait in subacute stroke patients. Twenty-two stroke patients were randomly stratified into two groups: the experimental (n = 11) and the control group (n = 11). Parameters associated with balance and gait were measured using the 6-minute walk test, the 10-meter walk test, the timed “up and go” test, the functional gait assessment, and the four square step test. Gait analysis using the zebris Rehawalk® treadmill system was also performed. Patients in the experimental group received virtual reality-based treadmill training five times a week for a period of four weeks, while those in the control group received treadmill training at the same frequency, duration, intensity, and structure, along with a progressively more difficult task demands. Significant improvements were observed in selected outcome measures in both groups after training. Patients in the experimental group experienced improvements in all of the spatiotemporal gait parameters, but there was a significant difference before and after training in duration of double support and lateral asymmetry. The findings of this pilot randomized controlled trial support the benefits of using a virtual reality-based treadmill training program to improve gait and balance in subacute stroke patients.","PeriodicalId":39824,"journal":{"name":"Hrvatska Revija Za Rehabilitacijska Istrazivanja","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69358692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
