The new analysis of the unbalanced three-phase system is achieved by symmetrical components method. The method is based on the properties of the Hilbert transform. At the beginning, relations are developed for calculating the symmetrical components in “abc” natural coordinates of a three-phase system. In the end, similar relationships in “$boldsymbol{alpha}boldsymbol{beta}$” coordinates are developed. There are also presented the conversion relations between different quantities expressed in both coordinate systems. The analysis is done for the general case of an unbalanced, non-sinusoidal, distorted three-phase system. Symmetrical components will be implicitly determined for each group of harmonics of the same frequency. The main conclusion is that the Hilbert transform based method represents an important analytical and computational tool regarding the unbalanced three-phase systems.","PeriodicalId":397346,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Conference on Modern Power Systems (MPS)","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121862031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, increasing the incident solar radiation is one of the most important solution which can be implemented to increase the output of such PV systems. This can be achieved by installing the PV panels on sun tracking systems. However, these trackers are expensive and most of the photovoitaic power plants are using fixed PV modules. In this paper the optimum tilt angle of the fixed PV panels in analyzed as noticeable gains in terms of energy output can be achieved by using a variable tilt angle over the year.","PeriodicalId":397346,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Conference on Modern Power Systems (MPS)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129734103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The load forecasting model quality is directly related to two factors, the definition of the input variables of the forecasting model and the mathematical modeling of this model. About the first aspect, the most significant exogenous influences on demand in the short-term load forecasting horizon are the weather variables, mainly temperature, humidity and wind speed. Regardless of the weather variable considered, it is necessary to perform a correlation study of the influence of this variable on demand, in each different region and climatic season. Thus, the objective of this work is to present a study of feature selection related to weather variables considering the application of a short-term load forecasting model to four different climate zones. This study, based on a feature selection tool that generates results of relation between the demand and the weather variables, aims to justify the definition of different weather inputs for each region, seeking to increase the quality of the load forecasting results. Also, the feature selection tool is based on different math definitions, that contributes to a better pattern recognition.","PeriodicalId":397346,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Conference on Modern Power Systems (MPS)","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124239940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
