Thermo graphing can verify the state of the fuses, in different types of charging conditions, respectively other side problems, which can damage the quality of the exterior environment. This limitation comes from the large difference between the temperature of the electrical contact points which are overheated and the temperature of the exterior surfaces. The goal of the article is to demonstrate the influence of the aging and corrosion phenomenon on the electrical circuits. With help of simulations carried out by numerical modelling programs and obtained results a complex voltage, current and temperature monitoring system using a microcontroller has been developed.","PeriodicalId":397346,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Conference on Modern Power Systems (MPS)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116914117","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The inner loop for current and torque control follows the general lines of the FOC (Field Oriented Control) strategy in terms of describing the motor operation equations in d-q model on rotor reference frame (after using the Clark and Park transformations), and obtaining a maximum torque by setting the reference current to zero on d-axis. The control system is a cascade system where the speed control system is the outer loop, and the fixed part is the inner loop for current control together with the PMSM. For the modeling of the fixed part, 2nd and 3rd order continuous and discrete transfer functions are presented, to which the delay block is added. Good results were obtained after the simulations where the transfer function is of the 3rd order, by compensating the delay effect. Considering that the usual delay fed by the speed sensor is lower than the maximum delay compensated by the proposed structure, and the control used is of common PI type with anti-windup, the results of simulations recommend the implementation into a real time embedded system.","PeriodicalId":397346,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Conference on Modern Power Systems (MPS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129440935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A rapid restoration of power system enhances the service reliability and reduces power outages; therefore, fault section should be estimated quickly and accurately. Transmission lines, as important elements of power systems, may be subject to unexpected failures due to various faults. So, to guarantee the reliability and safety of a power system, efficient fault detection, classification and localization (FDL) schemes for transmission lines are essential. Consequently, the improvement in suitable techniques for the fault detection and classification (FD) in power transmission systems, to increase the efficiency of the systems and to avoid major damages, it is a permanent requirement. A lot of FD methods are described in the technical literature and proposed by a large variety of research works, so a suitable survey of these methods is needed for choosing the most proper FD technique. In this work, an overview on the methods used for FD in transmission systems is accomplished, analyzing the technical literature and summarizing the most important methods that can be applied for FD. After overall concepts and general ideas are presented, representative works are covered and discussed briefly, focusing on the newly approaches (including machine learning) developed by various researchers for FD in power transmission systems.","PeriodicalId":397346,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Conference on Modern Power Systems (MPS)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133707432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The power can be supplied from the power grid or from the microgrid generating units. The microgrid comprises seven generating units (renewable energy sources), loads and an energy management system based on a controller. An optimization will be performed to determine which units will supply power, so that the cost of the power supplied by the microgrid generating units to be minimum. After obtaining the optimization results, the total cost of the power supplied from the renewable energy sources will be compared with the cost of the power supplied from the grid. The cost of the power supplied from the grid is based on prices from two energy markets: the bilateral contracts energy market and the day-ahead energy market.","PeriodicalId":397346,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Conference on Modern Power Systems (MPS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131368671","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The MGS is based on multiple distributed generation (DG) connected with 120 kV power grid. The proposed controller with four different configurations i.e. controller without optimization, PSO, GWO, and WOA tuned controller will be validated to control and enhance the flow of active and reactive power between MGS and power grid grid-connected mode and during load variation. The simulation results show that MGS is supplying optimal power to utility grid also maintaining sinusoidal voltage and current supply with minimum THD levels. Further, results show that the WOA based controller optimizes the control parameters achieves the 38.46% and 75% better results in terms of active and reactive regulation and sharing, respectively. For modelling of proposed system and applying of optimization techniques, Matlab/Simulink and m/file have been used respectively. When the representation of these variables versus time is periodic, the use of the discrete Fourier transform to identify harmonics and continuous components represents an immediate solution, favored by the affordability of data acquisition and computer assistance. Research over the past two decades has highlighted some major aspects in the field of harmonic composition identification of periodic non-sinusoidal waves, such as the alternative current “alias” phenomenon, the maximum harmonic order that can be determined by discrete Fourier transform, as well as the possibility of appearance of the direct current “alias” phenomenon, i.e. on the continuous component of the analyzed wave. This work has three objectives related to the analytical identification of a periodic non-sinusoidal wave harmonics. Firstly, it is determined a system of three equations, of which a transcendent one, based on which the three unknown parameters of a harmonic are calculated: the amplitude, the order and the phase. Initial data are represented by the coordinates of three different points. The second aspect approached is represented by the harmonic analysis of a periodic non-sinusoidal wave with a finite number of harmonics and highlighting the manifestation modalities of alias phenomena. Finally, the third objective deals with the use of an odd number of samples over a period, a case so far avoided due to a small simplification in writing the computational relationships, but which may occur frequently due to the frequency variations at the fundamental level (such as in power systems).","PeriodicalId":397346,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Conference on Modern Power Systems (MPS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114593635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The growing number of EVs led to introduction of Vehicle to Grid (V2G) concept as an instrument to reduce the load variation during a day, bringing with it a reduction of energy prices during peakload. Since the introduction of V2G concept, a number of studies have been made to estimate the benefits which this technology could bring in multiple different scenarios. In this paper, we will try to highlight one of the main obstacles because of which the V2G concept is not widespread, specifically the low energy efficiency and low economic benefits, which are coming at a high level of costs.","PeriodicalId":397346,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Conference on Modern Power Systems (MPS)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114906284","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
