First mass conservation law for water is applied. Next proton transport is described by the Nernst-Planck equation and liquid water convection velocity is eliminated by the Schlögl equation. Tests were carried out on support and bushings isolators. The problem occurred when accumulation of various active gaseous media in the interior of the MV switchgear and in contact with moisture form aggressive substances (i.e. acid). The new algorithm determines the optimum duty cycle for each modulation period. The duty cycle minimizes assumed quality function. The quality function is the integral of the absolute value of the difference between the reference waveform and the waveform resulting from the differential equations describing the inverter. The advantage of the regulator algorithm is that it has one parameter that needs to be tuned. Moreover, the analysis of the conventional inverter using unipolar double frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) switching schemes is done.
