Simple way has been demonstrated to show the effects on radiation due to position of surface current and the effect of central part of patch on the impedance- bandwidth of the printed square monopole antenna. For VSWR < 2 the bandwidth obtained is 60% for the center frequency of 2 GHz. The antenna is designed for UWB with 2 slots; a circular and a diamond slot which helps in wideband communication. The frequency of operation is chosen to be 5GHz with a wide bandwidth from 3 to 6GHz. The antenna is designed using fabrics; jeans, flannel and cotton as its substrate which can be worn by the user. The antenna is simulated in HFSS with human phantom to evaluate the performance. The antenna is compact with dimension of 30∗30∗1mm3. The simulated results show a good impedance matching with return loss below −10dB line and gain of 4.3. The proposed design provides conversion gain around 10 dB, isolation around 30 dB, 1 dB gain compression point is around −7dBm, noise figure around 8 dB at operating frequency 2.4 GHz. Also a study of conversion gain variation with respect to various mixer parameters has been done in this work. The CAD based design and simulation is done using Advance design System (ADS). Verification of the design has been done through realizing hardware prototype on FR4 substrate. Measurement of fabricated prototype has been performed using Keysight Field-Fox spectrum analyzer N9918A. The antenna is designed using torus knot as a radiator and it is excited by a power divider network with a sequential-phase variation. In order to understand the radiation properties of the proposed antenna, the parametric analysis is done. Additive manufacturing technology is used to fabricate the torus knot structure. The measured results are in good agreement with the simulated design. It has an operating frequency of 4.45 GHz in UWB band, making its performance considerably robust when applied to different human beings where frequency shift will take place. The antenna is constructed on the substrate of FR4 with a planar size of 20mm × 20mm with a thickness of 1.6mm, which can properly fit to any common person's on-body. The defective ground structure is introduced to improve performance of the antenna for on-body communication. The proposed wearable antenna have bud shape radiator, facilitating its direct connection with 50ohms normalized feed input point. This proposed antenna finds application in the wireless devices and biomedical based instruments. Preservation of wildlife has taken the center stage today. Tigers and lions are poached for their teeth and fur which may lead to their extinction. In the last few years tiger poaching has increased dramatically fueled by illegal trade of tiger body parts. In order to safeguard our animals from the dangers of poaching, this paper proposes an electronic device constructed using Global Positioning System (GPS), Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) interfaced with a heart rate sensor. The antenna radiation pattern can be changed by changing the state of the diodes loaded in the phase varying reflector. A planar dipole antenna is used to excite the tunable reflector. By this technique the antenna beam can be steered from +300 to -300 in the broadside direction depending on the operating state of the diodes. Moreover, the state of the diodes can be addressed digitally and hence a steep gradient in phase can be achieved in the reflector. The technique is basically to resolve a long standing issue, i.e., deployment and fixing of DRA on the metallic ground plane by chemical adhesive. The design focuses on the dominant mode of a DRA without affecting its characteristics. An C-band design has been examined and proposed. The proposed DRAs are compact in volume with overall size of 36 X 36 mm2, height of 8mm and radius of 10mm. Four cylindrical slots are incorporated in dielectric resonator around z-axis to generate circular polarization. It is evident from the results that, DRA model-I offers a broad bandwidth of 1340MHz (4.57GHz to 5.91GHz) and 3dB Axial Ratio (AR) bandwidth of 170MHz (4.90GHz to 5.07GHz). The DRA model-II offers 10dB bandwidth of 1240MHz (4.47GHz to 5.71GHz) and an enhanced 3dB AR bandwidth of 210MHz (4.97GHz to 5.18GHz). The peak gain of proposed DRAs are more than 5dBi. Proposed antenna consists of half-split (HS) cylindrical dielectric resonator (CDR) having two different layers of permittivity in the radial direction, a modified CPW-feed (a signal line, rectangular and slotted patch) and the ground plane. Circular polarization is procured by exciting orthogonal mode in half-split CDR through modified CPW-feed. TM11Ô mode is excited inside the HS-CDRA and confirmed by the rotation of electric field. Designed antenna radiates right- hand circular polarization field in the broadside direction and stronger than its counterpart left-hand circular polarization by -22.67 dB over the entire working band. The proposed antenna shows the usable bandwidth of 12.62% at the center frequency of 5.15 GHz, where both Sii < -10 dB input impedance bandwidth and AR < 3 dB bandwidth falls 4.83-5.62 GHz range.
