It has an operating frequency of 4.45 GHz in UWB band, making its performance considerably robust when applied to different human beings where frequency shift will take place. The antenna is constructed on the substrate of FR4 with a planar size of 20mm × 20mm with a thickness of 1.6mm, which can properly fit to any common person's on-body. The defective ground structure is introduced to improve performance of the antenna for on-body communication. The proposed wearable antenna have bud shape radiator, facilitating its direct connection with 50ohms normalized feed input point. This proposed antenna finds application in the wireless devices and biomedical based instruments.
